I had been to the dentist once in the last 13 years due to previous traumatic experiences, and required IV sedation to get 2 fillings and a clean. Yesterday Dr Beverley Tam reassured me from start to finish. I was informed of what was happening, frequently asked how I was feeling and was treated respectfully. I got one filling and my teeth scaled just with a local anesthetic! Dr Beverley even removed the glue from childhood braces on my back tooth that had been left there for 30 years. I am very grateful for her professionalism and pastoral care. Thank you.

Very impressed from the time an appointment was made. Excellent reminders. Dentist Dr Shifa was amazing on information sharing, collaborative approach to treatment. I have been here twice so far, once seeing Dr. Swetha Thatiparthy, and once Dr. Beaverly Tam. Both provided excellent care, explaining what the problems were with my teeth, and what the choices i had were. While i wouldn't say visiting a dentist is fun, The environment and staff removed my fears and concerns, and have proven themselves to be honest in their dealings, so i will continue to visit here whenever i need a checkup or something done

Thank you Beverly Tan for fixing my swollen and bleeding gums. I had this problem for a while and it was so uncomfortable. After my appointment on Saturday I feel relaxed and happy now. No more pain, swollen gums gone I can eat normal as it was like before. I would recommend anyone if you need to check your teeth go to PT Chevalier Dentist. I know dentists a bit expensive but it's worth it.

Went to see Dr Raanjee, I was treated with kindness and respect. Dr Raanjee had to extract some teeth and I can honestly say except for the numbing I could barely tell someone was working in my mouth. After the surgery I recieved a follow up consult to find out how I was doing. My next check up was to see whether or not I was healing correctly. I am very pleased with the standard of service I personally have recieved.

A stubborn tooth which took longer than anticipated but Dr. Beverley & her team completed the job exceedingly well and with prior warning to expect pain after the surgery, I had the best sleep after 3 sleepless nights. This was my first time as a patient at Pt.Chev dentist,I had a filling break along with some tooth that was a very large cavity and quite difficult as it was right above the gum line and deep up into the root,it was over lockdown and my gum was sore and infected,the only way to save the tooth was a root canal.The receptionist was so polite,management helpful&accommodating to arrange safe appointment&payment structure.My dentist was Beverly Tam,she was absolutely excellent,she took her time over several appointments,to do op in stages to ensure my final result would last,each time checking for bacteria an infection,to make completely sure there would be no deterioration from lack of diligence,and her communication,manner&professionalism was very reassuring.I could tell she was skilled and an absolute perfectionist,insisting if I had the slightest discomfort or concern between treatments ,to come straight in to be checked.I felt compelled to write in to recommend her &let her employers know that I was very impressed,I will be keeping her as my dentist from now..I had 2or3 root canals a few years ago in a dentist in onehunga,they did them in only one appointment,I wasn't aware of what was the norm,it was very expensive and they all failed and broke within months which really made me disappointed at the waste of $$ &the teeth had to be pulled,now I realize they were probably done too fast,not carefully enough,and there was probably some kind of residual decay or bacteria that helped from the quick in and out procedure,I feel much more confident with the amount of effort &diligence put in by Beverly Tam,over the 3or4 appointments for the comparable price in fact it may have been less for much more&I feel that if I have issues or complications that she would put them right if not caused by my own lack of care,as it seems she takes pride in her work,thanks Beverly,you had a great manner,cheers Jonathan Bell-Booth.resident of Pt.Chevalier

Currently having fast braces on my teeth. Can't believe 3 months can make such an amazing difference. Pain free, not much time in the chair. Feel fully confident in my treatment. Would highly recommend if you want amazing results without the massive price tag.

UPDATE: Went to the clinic the other day for 2 tooth filling, was charged $500 - I was told it was due to pandemic, after reading on some articles, standard price range of tooth filling was only $98-$125.. you can even get a $235 on grab one for a package deal, 2-tooth filling and xrays with polish..but due to pandemic the deals on grab one was very limited.. The service is good but the over price is bad...so I would say don't go to dentist unless emergency during pandemic, wait till after pandemic.. =============================================== If you're wondering where to go and you're reading this, then you're done, you've found it! you'll never regret going here to Pt. Chevalier Family Dentist! I would say, this is the only dental clinic in the world I give 11/10 score! Great staff and service! very accommodating and helpful and very INFORMATIVE..that's what everyone needs.. thanks guys!

Went to see the team at Pt Chev Family Dentist for a scale and polish. The place is very modern and clean, lots of free parking available. The staff all practice good hygiene. I was quite lucky to get an appointment with Dr Emma. She is very professional and patient to check the x-ray and figure out what was causing my pain. She found a mistake in the deep filling I had had done in another clinic and that I had moderate gum desease which were both causing pain. Dr Emma is very gental and patient when she did root cleaning and redid my filling. She also gave me a lot of helpful advice. It was a great dental experience and I will definitely recommend to my friends and family.

The composite bonding (from a different dentist) broke on my front tooth early on a Saturday afternoon. My usual dentist was closed so I was delighted to find Pt Chevalier Family Dentist was open on the weekend. Within 40 minutes of calling, I was already in the clinic getting my tooth fixed. Matthew did such a great job that I will be making PCFD my regular dentist moving forward. He is an excellent practitioner who takes the time to explain everything clearly and the staff were all so friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

I have been there for few times now after searching for reliable and trustworthy dentist for a while. I found this place coincidently to get my teeth problem sorted and I am very satisfied both with doctor and the clinic. They don't charge outrageous amount of cost for the treatment and the more good thing is the doctor explains what is happening with my tooth, how it is going to be treated and mention how much charge he will cost me before starting the treatment. I felt I have treated fairly and happy with their service :) I will revisit if I have another problem with teeth. Definitely recommend it!

First I have not been asked to leave a review as a lot of people have been accused of that for this practice. Have you heard the expression you get what you pay for? Well that's the perfect expression for this dentist practice. I booked with 3 hours notice after purchasing a group one voucher which was very happy about. 2 they were on time. 3. The dentist felt listened to me and my concerns. 4. When I asked cosmetic treatment I was advised not too, so did not feel pushed for extra services. The only negative was the cleaning was a bit rough but come on people, it's 70 dollars for an exam ex rays and a cleaning. All in all well worth it. If you want boutique dental work don't expect it for 70 dollars. I do like my normal dentist but would have no problems coming here again.

I went to Point Chevalier and was treated by Dr. Swetha Thatiparthy. She is honestly one of the best dentists I’ve been to in Auckland. Very professional but most importantly friendly and warm. I was nervous getting my wisdom tooth extracted but she was super reassuring and did such a great job of extracting the tooth, I didn’t feel much pain afterwards. She did a fabulous job patiently explaining the treatments I would be receiving. A lovely place to have your fillings done properly and fantastic scaling of the teeth. She has a steady hand, confident and a lot of expertise. A real people person and an excellent dentist who knows teeth inside out. You can see she is passionate about her job from the get go. My experience of Point Chevalier Family Dentists has been a positive one - definitely a '5-star' experience. They fitted me in at short notice when I called complaining of tooth pain. The practice is modern and well fitted out, with a comfortable waiting area inside. The dentist I saw was friendly and professional. She carried out an examination and presented me with her recommendations and associated costs of treatment options. I appreciated that these costs were clearly communicated before work was undertaken. The treatment was pain-free, and the dentist requested I signal if I did experience any discomfort. I plan to return to Point Chevalier Family Dentists for further dental check-ups and treatment, if needed. The service I received was friendly and polite, communication was clear and professional and I feel the treatment charge was reasonable. I was seeking new dentist as previously visited one was far after I've moved house. Pt Chevalier Family Dentist was the one I found the voucher from GrabOne, so I thought I better try this since it's close to my house and accessible. First impressions when I call the dentist to make an appointment was great, not only the receptionist was friendly but also somehow she knew that I'm Japanese (probably from my name) and told me that a Japanese dentist's availability. I didn't know if there was a Japanese dentist so it was extra bonus to me. Service wise, I'd say it's brilliant and the dentist was very friendly and informative. She asked me what my concerns are first, then explained each time. Also she teaches me the brushing and flossing techniques to keep my teeth clean, healthy and painless. I'd back there again for next checkup and cleaning, so hope the dentist will be there next time also.

My partner and I bought one voucher each for dental exam, 2 x-ray + scaling and polish on GrabOne for $79 and we were quite disappointed. We feel the service we received was quicker and less thorough than other dentist we've been to in the past. For example, the dentist asked me how much my voucher was for and then only polished my front teeth whereas other dentists or hygienists I've been to in the past polished all the tooth. I also had brown stains on some of my teeth and she didn't even try to remove them whereas, again, other professionals I've been to have used tools to scrape those off. I did have a cavity to fill and made an appointment with them a few days later. This service was good, although I didn't receive much information about what she was doing on my teeth. The conclusion is, if you're paying full price, it's alright, but the quality is definitely lower if you go there with a voucher.

I used Pt Chev dentist, I’m from the Uk travelling here when my dental implant came loose, they saw me a very short notice and agreed a reasonable price to fix it. Month later when I planned to go home my flight cancelled due to the pandemic & stuck in level 4 lock down my front crown also fell out leaving me in some Difficulty to talk, eat, I phoned around to local dentists, nobody really wanted to help without charging a lot of money! I had a groupon deal and was very nervous about the whole thing as I know that groupon's customers usually don't get as good service as other customers. Anyway, the lady was really professional and went out of her way for me even not charging for a surcharge I should have paid.
