Absolutely best dentist practice I've ever been to! Professional, kind, caring, and fast, the whole team is just superb! I can not recommend these guys enough. Always been super anxious about dentist visit, but not anymore. Best treatment I have ever received.

No disrespect to past clinics visited. However, subsequent to receiving treatment at Sunnynook Dentist, Forrest Hill, North Shore, Auckland, I have great pleasure in rating this the best Clinic. My initial phone-call to make an appointment was received in a friendly manner and obvious to me that Dr Lakshay Kumar has intentions for his Clinic to be a Happy Place. Completion of the administrative documents are clear & concise and the simple explanation of the diagnosis, applicable to the X-ray imaging was impressive. There is a thorough & methodical approach taken by all staff and the Interaction management skills displayed ensures a calmness continues for you feeling in a relaxed state throughout. So gentle was the tooth being extracted I had to be told by Dr Kumar the Tooth was no longer there. Above all, as soon as you enter this Clinic you sense a friendly environment. Fantastic service; Dr Lucky and the team made my visit very comfortable and smooth. Super easy location and tonnes of parking available. The practice itself is super clean and tidy, and I even enjoyed an episode of Mr Bean while I had my teeth looked at!

I've been avoiding my wisdom teeth extraction (all four!) for many years until I met Dr.Lucky at this clinic. He made the whole process sound so easy and quick, and he wasn't lying- really did finish in 30 minutes. After a month now they are healed perfectly. No unnecessary pain, no long-time procedure, no rip-off. The receptionist Abby is super friendly, and very professional in explaining the procedure to patients. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a life-time dentist in North Shore.

By far the best dental practice ever! The receptionist Abby is an awesome super friendly person, thank you for keeping me calm :) The nurses are kind & gentle. The best dentist ever! I had a few bad experiences with dentists over the years, more bad than good really, but after my second visit here I'm still excited to go back and finally get on top of things after years of neglect due to fear. Everyone is just so lovely and understanding taking the time to listen to any concerns, offer feedback and different options for treatments without pushing anything. Pricing is really affordable and better service than I could have imagined. 11/10 do recommend will go again.

I have always been paranoid when it comes to dental treatments but this was indeed a great experience. I was given genuine advise , explained the problematic areas in detail with utmost transparency. No up selling like the other places.Would specially like to mention about the very warm and welcoming team. Dr Lucky is the best Dentist i have come across in New Zealand, he made sure i am comfortable during the procedure, was given heaps of breaks and time to rest my jaws. Great experience from start to finish. Receptionist is lovely and helpful when booking appointments. Dr.Lucky is very helpful and explains the process to you step by step so you understand what is happening. The dental assistants are very lovey as well. I had to have a denture made after having teeth knocked out and was very efficient only took a short time to get this fitted. Very happy with outcome am able to smile again . Would highly recommend this dental practice.

Dr. Leah did an amazing job extracting my wisdom tooth. She was also very honest to tell me that she accidentally hit my gum but I felt nothing really. I was a bit nervous when I went there especially that my last tooth extraction was when I was less than 12 yrs old! The dental assistant told me I am in good hands and truly I am! Thank you so much Dr. Leah and the rest of the team. This is the second time I went to the clinic. It is so silent, no other people everytime I visited the place (bec I always go there on weekdays😅) and all of them are very welcoming. Awesome experience and amazing people! Abby is one of the nicest reception ladies I've met of all the dentists I've been to. She is understanding and she calms me down when she saw that I was nervous about seeing the doctor. Dr. Lucky is the best dentist I have seen! He is very knowledgeable and always checking to make sure I'm not in pain. As I've had very bad experiences with previous dentist. Dr. Lucky always tells me what is going on and what is next, this makes me feel so much more relaxed.

I just had my first visit to the clinic since the change of ownership and I have to say I'm delighted. The Dentist and his very professional nurse are really friendly and interested in the patient. My husband visited Sunnynook Dentists on Saturday 12 October. He is usually absolutely petrified of needles and pretty much all things medical. The team was absolutely incredible, making him feel at ease every step of the way and even involving our 3 year old, by letting her press the button to take the x-rays! WOW, like all of us, I hate the dentist! But, seriously the staff and Dr Lucky at Sunnynook Dentist made me feel so welcomed, so comfortable (even in the bad state my teeth are in), had a root canal procedure (one of), and the treatment was amazing. I didnt feel any pain, even with the injection! I would certainly recommend that if anyone needs a great team to get into your mouth and sort you out!

I saw Dr. Lakshay Kumar at Sunnynook Dentist for my wisdom tooth extraction today and I have to say it was the most pleasant Dentist experience for me. I was so scared and anxious about this, but they explained and talked me through the procedure. I was quoted twice the amount at another dentist and Sunnynook Dentist were so reasonably priced. He was very gentle and accommodating. Gave breaks in between. I never felt a thing and my wisdom teeth was out in 45 mins. I had no pain the next day and he even called to check how I was doing. So impressed by Sunnynook Dentist and happy to recommend them. Thank you so much and I will surely come back for all my dental needs. Glad I found them.

I am 39 years old, I have been to the dentist about 6 times in my life and 2 of those were Saturday and tonight. Previous dentists just like to hurt you and take your money, and that's not really my thing. I went in for a check up and a deep clean. I was so nervous and maybe a lot scared but Dr Lucky and Amy are amazing, they calmed me down, stopped when I needed to take a breather and made the experience a million times better than I expected it to be and for that I thank them. My teeth look and feel so much better and I'm never going anywhere else. If you need a dentist on the shore then you need to come here. Thanks team for making it not as bad as I thought.

I have dreaded going to the dentist ever since I had an unpleasant and painful experience with a school dentist in England. (And that was a lot of years ago.) So I definitely wasn’t looking forward to having the preparatory work done for a crown. UPDATE The new owner reached out to me and sought a chance to rectify my experience with the clinic. Whilst I'm yet to have the chance to go back for a check up and cleaning. I'm happy with the owner's great customer service initiative, so I'm going to revise to 5 stars for this. **** I had an appointment with Dr. Sinan Najar for a cleaning and general check up, and my experience was not a positive one. The procedure was surprisingly brief (about 5 minutes) and my teeth were not properly cleaned. It was just a few scaling, that's all. He did, however, carried out quite a proper check and had two X-Rays done. This is not the first time I've been to a dentist for cleaning and check up before. So I understand how a proper cleaning was like. I'm not that type of person who wanted to challenge a professional, so I just paid my consultation and left. However, I do want to alert other potential patients of my negative experience and please ask a few questions prior to the consultation to ensure that your money is well spent.

New Owner Dr Lakshay Kumar is best in the business and is a big believer that there is always a story to be heard. So he just wouldn't look after your dental needs but would be willing to know more about you , your routine, your habits so he can devise the best possible solution. I think receptionist does make a big difference. The reception lady Abby is very friendly. Dr. Lakhsay is also very nice, he made sure I was comfortable and not in pain. Not sure about pricing as I have not been to many dentists around.

Wow, what can I say? Dr Lakshay has been my dentist for 3 years now since I moved back to Auckland from Hamilton (I had been to quite a few previously) and you could not find a more caring, genuine, honest, compassionate, non judgemental, kind, qualified, and not to mention highly capable dentist in the whole of Auckland, or indeed, perhaps the whole of New Zealand. It may sound like an exaggeration, but don't take my word for it, go and see him for yourself, and you will find a man in whom there is no deceit, and that has a heart of gold.
