What an awesome experience! I felt very comfortable and relaxed, Paul was super patient and explained everything well to an easy understanding. Was able to have a good laugh too which made everything easier and killed the nervousness! 👍

Did the 2 hour course + assessment with Paul and it was worth every cent and more. Paul is so patient and knowledgeable, and I took away so many good learning points that actually seemed helpful to my future riding. He is genuinely very caring and I highly recommend!

The Instructor, Paul, was very professional and friendly. He offered a lot of practical wisdom and techniques in a relevant and easy to understand way. I was a little nervous about the test but his friendly demeanour put my nerves to rest and made the whole experience enjoyable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Paul was A++++++++++ Highly recommend using him. He helped me pass my BHST after 1 hour of practice. He keeps calm throughout the test and practice, positively reinforces what you're doing well and most importantly trusts you when you might not trust yourself because of nerves. I even managed to pass the test in the rain. Everything he taught me during the training helped a lot during the test. The explanation of why bad habits are bad gives you a clearer understanding and guides you on what you need to work on post the test. Being a girl, I looked for an instructor who had female reviews and thankfully I did because the last thing you want is an instructor that's going to make you wind up in tears. Thank you Paul! I'll be back for my restricted.

A wonderful experience to complete the basic handling skills with Paul. I highly recommend Paul to anyone wanting to learn how to ride a motorcycle. He has very clear instructions and is open to any questions you may have. Paul is friendly and gives great feedback. This course is on a 1:1 basis. A friend suggested going to Paul for my basic handling and it was a great choice. Paul was accommodating with organising a time that fit my work schedule. He was very friendly, patient, informational and an overall kind person who communicated everything I needed to know and more general tips to help me in my future riding. I searched for reputable instructors online, which we all know is not easy sometimes, and I came across Paul Laugalis on the Absolute Motorcycle Trainings website. After reading the content on the website I was confident that it was the one that would work best for me. Met with Paul on the day and let me tell you it was an easy transaction you can pay online or on the day. He was patient as I had not been on a motorcycle for about 12 years so was unsure where I was at, but he gave me an informative refresher and time to practice. The BHST was also a pleasant experience. Felt comfortable and confident with the way the instructions were clearly given and how the course was set out. So if you're thinking about it and looking for a place to do your BHST look no further. Honestly, I take customer service and care very seriously and it was evident to me on the day that Paul does too. Hope this helps anyone else out there confused with who to choose👍 P.S He also follows up with information for after your test, like the 'where to from here' part.

After looking around for the best options to get my BHST completed, I stumbled upon Absolute Motorcycle Training that happened to be near me so I thought why not give it a shot. I can say that my shot in the dark was extremely well worth it. Prior to my actual test had tons of back and forth communication with Paul over which session length would be best for me, to which we agreed upon 1.5 Hours. To say the session was a breeze would be an understatement. Paul's teaching, encouragement, observation, attention to detail and then being able to manifest into words to help out was astonishing. I would highly recommend anyone going for their BHST out west to go with Paul.

I picked Paul based on all the 5 star reviews, and can now add my own one. I did the 2 hour Basic Handling Skills & Test with no experience riding a geared motorcycle. Paul makes things really easy to understand and I look forward to learning more from him over the years as I progress through the licence stages. I can not say enough thank you. I was a very difficult student because my poor English and lack of knowledge towards motorbikes, I am not young and I can get nervous very quickly,... but Paul was very patient and very encouraging towards me and was able clearly identify and help with my problems. Paul is absolutely one of the best motorcycle instructors. I did my basic handling, ride forever and all licensing with him. He is very patient and great at explaining things accordingly to my experience of riding along the way. Till now I do refreshing courses with him and I can always always learn a lot from him. I think because he has trained hundreds of people, he is very experienced in delivering different skills in a variety of ways to suit you the best. not only is Paul genuinely a gem of person but he is also an amazing instructor. He was super patient and when one way of teaching wasnt working you can bet he tried to teach me in a way that i would understand. I've never riden a bike before and Paul made me feel comfortable and confient in what i was doing and i wouldnt recommend anyone else. words cant describe how awesome Paul was and im sure i will be seeing him again to future lessons. Paul was great. I was riding motorbikes for years in my home-country, but even then he fixed few things about my riding style, provided more tips and that worked straight away. Kept me calm and provided all the gears for the test day. Just wanted to add - there are no good or bad riders just good or bad Instructors. Paul is no doubt one among the best.

Had never ridden a bike before, was a bit afraid and nervous at first as I truly believed it was not possible to understand my feelings by a person who didn't know me. :) But I was totally wrong, Paul literally just read my mind and step by step was explaining to me everything about how to ride the bike. One main rule was - to do not break with front break when turning, but I was not able to understand in theory why and I didn't even asked - Paul immediately demonstrated braking with front break while he was riding the bike, that was very-very helpful practical remembering and it's truly dangerous. Do not break with front break when turning, guys :) For me it was easier to remember the rule visually in practise, than just got told and Paul apparently just knows that very well. So couple hours later, I was able to take and pass basic handling practise test and I got my certificate. I highly recommend Paul, I will certainly come back with taking further steps in getting the full driving license.

100% recommend Paul as a training Instructor to teach basic handling skills around Motorcycles. I have experienced being one to learn from Paul for nearly over 15 years now and have learnt a great deal from him ie: Road Safety, Bike handling, maintenance just a few subjects and more that's enabled me to be the best rider I am today. Highly recommend Paul top notch teaching and very understanding. I lost my photo I.D. and i was booked in for my BHST, Paul just said to let him know when I recieve my replacement I.D. and he would slot me in again at no extra charge which was something he didnt have to do. Really cool guy and will be returning to complete the rest of my class 6 licence.

Went for a 2 hour class with Paul in order to pass the BHST. Paul made me feel very calm and walked me through all the steps at my pace. Once he was confident I would pass the test we tried some other things that wouldn't be on the test, all in order to make me a better rider moving forward.
