D. S.Thank you to the team at Distinction Coachman for a wonderful stay and experience! This is the second time we have been back and this hotel never disappoints! The staff were very accommodating and we had an awesome time! The breakfast buffet was also great and we will definitely be back the next time we are in Palmy!
L. H.Nice hotel easy 5 min walk into Palmerston North. Friendly helpful staff. The rooms are dated and could do with being redecorated and freshening up. The buffet breakfast is good quality and plentiful.
a. p.Staff were well trained, polite and friendly ..however the standard of the room was a bit of a let-down .The room felt dated with maintenance being needed in the bathroom with mould on the walls and ceiling, grout in tiles cracked and missing and no extractor fan evident. Also plug point was not working . Would have also expected a teatowel to be available to wash and dry stuff plus also would have expected sky to be an option instead of just standard TV. My personal feeling for an establishment of this reputation the standards were lacking.
R. G.Decor is very dated. Staff just lovely. Food nice, although i was in the last table to go to the buffet & the roast beef was blue. Dessert was disappointing as it was all bought in items. Very happy occasion though, & service was excellent by young staff.

R. L.Five star service, friendly staff and really good food is served for both breakfast and dinner. The rooms are a nice size but just a bit dated. I really enjoyed the spa bath in our executive suite and and bath robes behind the door. Nice touch!
It's Very quiet here, so if you need to rest your weary head in peace, this is the hotel for you. My husband especially loved the fireplace in the lounge area. Keep up the awesomeness Coachmans, we will be back.
j. o.We arrived tired and worried at 1am, but the staff were excellent and booked us a reasonably priced room. It was warm and extremely comfortable, plus they let us stay a bit longer due to our very late check in time to catch up on sleep.
We would easily spend more time in this fabulous and aesthetically pleasing looking hotel if we are ever back in Palmerston North.

M.Absolutely exceptional my room the service just impeccable I also dined in at la patio the Restaurant located in the hotel. I ordered a Duck burger consisting of Master stock pulled duck with a slaw,egg and a onion marmalade poutine and That was simply Outstanding plus the seafood chowder soup with sourdough the Angus burger and a chocolate marquise I was even able to order a takeaway dish of fish and chips to eat tomorrow morning. Sensational service with a smile.
J. T.My stay has been lovely so far. Great hospitality, great rooming, great comfort. The hotel design is beautiful, reminiscent of a cottage. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are spacious and can comfortably room two people.

Nice quaint room for myself, 5yr old granddaughter and her mum.
Nice walk to the square.
Close to pak n save and countdown.
Close to eateries, if not wanting to dine in at the hotel.
Would of been handy to have a microwave in the room.
And somewhere to wash dishes. Had to use same ones over and over, unless you wanted to wash them in the bathroom handbasin, where the toilet is as well.
But otherwise was a short but a pleasant stay.

M. B.A posh afternoon tea. A smart hotel in the old style, with a degree of elegance. Top of the pops was the ladies facilities, automated everything without being difficult, it did what it said on the box.
Sadly the food was a bit ordinary, most NZ ladies can produce better in their own kitchen. Note to hotel, A damp tea towel over sandwiches works a treat to stop the bread from drying out. The serving staff were excellent, and having a second pot of tea, no problem. All in all a lovely experience, to make it perfect would have been able to step outside into the garden. Amazingly the door was locked!

A. K.Fantastic staff, Rhonel the waitress keep everything in the restaurant under wonderful control. Management, clone this girl. The hotel was so clean, beds so comfortable and the ladies and gents toilets the most elegant I've ever seen. Really enjoyed our stay.

Very Impressed and happy with our stay overall and would highly recommend you guys to friends and family.
There was only one thing I found uncomfortable and that was the bed mattresses were too soft. But that's manageable.
Other than that everything was fantastic. Your facilities were top standard. I was even surprised by the quality of your shampoo and conditioner.
I look forward to my next stay.

A. R.Didn't enjoy it as much as my last stay there. This time around there was none of the nice artisan breads for breakfast, and the WiFi (even though I was in the same room as last time) kept cutting out all the time. Other than that I still enjoyed the facilites and the cooked breakfast very much (excellent mushrooms, nice scrambled eggs) and the staff are still friendly and switched on.
P. T.Stay for work conference, room 209 is facing the main road but is surprisingly quiet (it is Palmerston North afterall), the bed was too soft for me but the room is clean. Facilities in the room were dated but perfectly functional. Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. There is a lovely garden at the back of the hotel, perfect spot to spend a quiet sunny afternoon there.

J. H.Came in to stay for the night. We had a refreshing dip in the pool and sat in the spa for a few minutes. The staff were so professional and friendly. We didn't have to venture very far to find good hospitality. The food we had at the restaurant in the evening was beautiful and tasty. The lamb and the chicken dishes were devine. The waitress did a lovely job taking care of everybody.
a. j.Loved the place will so go back again the ladies at the front desk were so helpful and the head house worker was very lovely and made us feel welcome was awesome. Only one thing that could be better is the housekeepers didn't make up our room so wasn't happy about that but the lovely head housekeeper took care of us and done it straight away so that was awesome and there was hair from previous guests in the sink and a bit of rubbish under the bedside table other then that Everything was awesome. Will totally be back 👍😁

S.Hotel is absolutely beautiful!! Plenty of space for parking, on site pool / gym / private/public spa / hairdressers and restaurant. Team was very welcoming and room was spotless. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND
T. N.Went for a workshop, was provided with the standard morning teas and coffees and scones but they could've left the coffee out for longer I came out after lunch and there was nothing. But good service and friendly unassuming staff, used to people coming in and out. Plenty of parking, well appointed room, good service.
J.Everything was perfect, Except for the bed in room 215! Will go down in history as the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept on! Did notify reception who did not seem interested at all, did not even write down our room number in order to lodge the complaint.

There was a wedding on at the time we arrived so there were no parks (mostly due to incompetent or ignorant parking) and the only input reception had to that was 'park out front and move it later" which could have been an option if there were parks out front (so we just made our own park). The stay was lovely anyway, and would recommend (especially if there are no other functions on at the time)
