We recently got married with the help of Mountain Weddings and our experience with them couldn’t have been any better. Steph and Warren made the whole process straightforward and stress-free for us, from the advice they gave us in the months leading up, to their expertise on the day of. We felt comfortable with them from the start, and it was great to know we had full control over all the details of our special day, including bringing our best friend along to be our celebrant. Our scheduled wedding date turned out to be the first day that domestic travel resumed after the lockdown, and despite our much condensed timeline, they made sure we were well looked after. Bad weather on the day meant we couldn’t fly to the location we had originally picked, but Warren’s knowledge of the local weather patterns (which was truly impressive and helpful!) allowed us to outrun the incoming rain for as long as possible to make the most of our day. He took us to another location based on the view/aesthetic of our original choice, and it was just as beautiful. And as we couldn’t fly as far out as planned, he offered to take us to a second location for more photos which we were very grateful for. Not only was their planning and organisation fantastic, the photos Warren managed to capture despite the wild wind were just stunning. We thought for sure all our photos would come back with my hair whipping in all directions, but Warren managed to capture moments that had our family and friends commenting that the wind look like a masterfully applied effect. A true testament to his skill and years of experience as a photographer. The photos we received captured our day both perfectly and beautifully, and we’re so happy with how everything turned out. Absolutely recommend Mountain Weddings to anyone looking for a similar experience!

Steph and Warren are hands down the best! Not only as absolutely phenomenal people that just made the whole experience brighter, but consummate professionals. We found their Instagram feed (if you aren’t already following…it’s a must! @mountainweddings_nz) and were obsessed. We knew Warren had to be the photographer for our wedding. From the very first email, they were informative and had a warmth about them that you just knew that they love what they do. If you needed any recommendations, they knew exactly who to direct you to if they didn’t already coordinate it for you. We had to reschedule our original date due to COVID, but there was no stress involved because they handled it all. What could have felt like a nightmare, just breezed right over. Fast forward to the wedding day. Absolute perfection. Definitely better that the day was shifted, because we landed on an absolute stunner! When we look back at the photos, we are overwhelmed with emotion. They really did deliver us the fairytale wedding we couldn’t have even imagined was possible. Don’t look anywhere else, you would be silly. We wholeheartedly would recommend them to everyone…literally shout it from the mountain tops! Thank you Steph and Warren, we truly truly can’t thank you enough!!

Mountain Weddings are awesome! Warren and Steph will ensure your wedding is even more magical and far beyond what you could even dream of! We had the idea to do an adventure elopement wedding as we love the outdoors. Warren's photography skills really sealed the deal for us and WOW our photographs just take us right back to our special day and we have "only" seen the sneak peeks we can't imagine how excited we will be for the full set of pictures! We had so much fun throughout the day running, jumping enjoying all the idyllic mountain top locations, lakes, glaciers, beaches and sunset stops and had a load of fun whilst also getting some of the most amazing photos ever! Steph had all the organisation and schedules sorted and despite our original wedding date being affected by Covid and having to be rearranged, none of this phased Warren and Steph. The cake, florist, hairstylist, helicopter were all sorted and communication over video call just made us feel totally at ease! And we were so excited to meet up in person in a cafe once we were down in Queenstown. Wedding planning was just fun! All the vendors that Mountain Weddings coordinate with are literally top of their game and Warren and Steph at Mountain Weddings only want the absolute best for you and your day! The bouquet, cake, hair, makeup were just absolutely spot on! And the helicopter company they liaise with are reputable, safe and the pilot we had was really experienced. We literally had the most MAGICAL day from start to finish and want to re-live it all over again. You guys were so great and we are so glad you could both come along with us for the full epic adventure and we are so grateful we chose you guys to help plan our dream day! Alicia and Matt Hobbs

Our special day was PERFECT! The communication and planning were super easy and straight forward – our best decision was made when we decided to reach out to Steph & Warren. They made the entire process hassle-free and wasted no time preparing our itinerary, contacting, and organising our vendors. We honestly felt as if the only thing we needed to do was fly over to Queenstown – it was that easy! From Lake Erskine and to Big Geordie, our beautiful experience was matched by Warren’s expertise of capturing amazing shots that really highlighted his creativity. The photos are wonderful! We cannot express enough how much we recommend Mountain Weddings; Steph & Warren are truly the dream team, and any couple would be lucky to have them on their side for their special day. Thank you so much to Steph and Warren for making our wedding day/elopement the absolute best!! On a whim we decided that we wanted to elope and we came across their beautiful website, the photographs really stood out to us. We contacted them with a last minute booking hoping they would be able to fit us in and they promptly got back to us and were able to make it happen 😄 we did have to reschedule our original date due to covid and the country going into lockdown, however they were so flexible and easy to work with and we managed to make our second date work just a few weeks later. Everything ran seamlessly on the day, all of the vendors they organised were fantastic, they took all of the work out of it for us and we just got to enjoy our day. Warren took some amazing photos and made us feel very comfortable and we had alot of fun on the mountain! We had some family with us who all had an amazing time aswell. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to elope 😁 Thanks so much for a great experience and a day we will never forget.

Steph and Warren were sooo amazing on our wedding day, took care of everything! even shuffling the days to ensure we had the best weather possible for our day, our photos were unbelievable. Warren made us feel so comfortable even tho we were nervous to start with. Thank you guys so much i'm still amazed at the experience and couldn't recommend them highly enough!!!

Earlier this year we booked a Queenstown wedding photographer who changed the agreed price on checkout. We didn't really appreciate that, so we found another photographer. Then, this photographer politely apologised saying she has accepted another amazing opportunity elsewhere. She gave us two equally awesome photographers to choose from who would honour the agreed price and we chose Mountain Weddings (MW). As it was a couple of weeks out from the big day, Warren and Step reached out to us and they instantly made us feel comfortable. The money we had paid rolled over to MW and they gave us all the information required to prepare us for the day. Once we arrived in Queenstown, we met at a local cafe and discussed details and looked though their wedding albums for future purchase. As we talked, the weather was one of the big issues as the forecast was rain, rain and more rain! However, weather conditions are quite changeable, Step and Warren kept their cool and optimism and we kept with the original plan. The day came and the morning was still raining. I was getting my hair and makeup done and flowers delivered- which were amazing! By 3 pm, the clouds lifted and the blue sky was revealed!! Talk about a God moment! We had a beautiful ceremony by the lake and then took the heli up to Cecil Peak. We were in knee deep of fresh powder snow!! Honestly the setting was perfect! Warren worked hard to collect amazing pictures. He knew the area and told us where to stand and how to pose. He was very careful as there were cliffs on either side of us at one stage, so he was very conscious of our safety. It was -1 degree on top of the mountain, so by the end we were a bit cold! But you could not wipe the smile off our faces. The photos produced where out of this world! Jaw dropping, magazine quality photos that took our breath away! We are honestly so full of joy with the results and really glad things worked out the way they did! A huge thank you to Step and Warren and we are so grateful of the work you have done for us, for taking us at short notice and for honouring the price made for us prior. You are worth much more! If you are looking for a photographer, look no further. Step and Warren are wonderful humans, so kind and eager to please. We received our first wedding gift, locally sourced chocolates and a candle which are just divine. I cant stop singing your praises, thank you again! Linda and Meli x

Our experience with Mountain Weddings was nothing short of amazing. Steph and Warren are so passionate and brilliant at what they do. Their communication and attention to detail is excellent and they made us feel completely at ease throughout the process. They gave us a beautiful day that was completely stress free so that we could just focus on enjoying ourselves. Even when the weather didn’t play nice, they reorganised everything and made it work for us.
