We used Terrace Kitchen to cater our wedding and we were so impressed with their service. The food was amazing, served nicely and quickly for such a big wedding. Their staff were all very efficient and proactive with serving drinks and clearing things. The whole venue was kept very tidy throughout the day. Claudia was who we worked with to organise everything and her communication was great, so made everything very easy and nothing was a problem for her to change or organise. Thanks for helping up pull off a perfect day!

Great services and atmosphere, both indoor and outdoor. Both chicken salad and vegan skillets had great flavours. The fried chicken tasted crispy and fresh, wasn't greasy at all; the beans in the vegan skillets added extra texture to the dish. Definitely coming back another time!

The moment we walked through the door we were greeted warmly and treated with outstanding customer service from then on. Our coffees were hot and delicious and our food, served on warmed plates, presented beautifully, definitely tasted as good as it looked. It was an absolute pleasure having breakfast there. Oh, the whipped butter was a welcome treat :)

Stopped here by chance - it is fantastic. Great food and coffee and a beautiful environment with an amazing children’s play area tucked off to one side with plenty of quiet spots for adults. Good to see local art on the walls. Friendly helpful staff. A must if you are looking for a great breakfast/lunch in Rotorua. Noticed it is a bar in the evening - wish we had known yesterday.

Absolutely loved the vibe at this cafe/restaurant. Clean, sophisticated, beautiful outdoor area... the staff were friendly and attentive. The food DELICIOUS! A good mix of vegetarian options and great brunch lineup. This was my second visit and I was just as satisfied as the first. Highly recommend this if you have a day or two in Rotorua 😊 The mushroom bruschetta (with GF bread) and Eggs Benni were $22 each just to give you an idea of price. 🤑

I had brunch here and it was excellent. The interior design, food, atmosphere, staffs..everything is very satisfying. The weather wasn't great but I will definitely be here for sunny day again. The portion of the food was just right maybe a bit a lot for me. It would be better if you eat them when it's served. Waffle was great but I ate it a bit late so it was a bit cooler. Still I like the sauce and dressing. Good place for brunch =)

Delightful service. Great food, especially “the greens” (cauliflower, gluten-free) however be aware that the crispy fried chicken did not for fill as a meal as it was moderate to small and was nothing but chicken!

The food was good and tasty. Coffee was nice but maybe a little small. The decor is very pleasant and creates a relaxing feel even when the place is busy. Even little details like ensuring there is enough water on the table is appreciated. I went on a rainy day but it looked like there is a good outdoor eating area when the weather permits.

The chicken here is AMAZING! Super quick and easy service, stunning venue, tasty foos, strong coffee and good prices. There is pretty much nothing negative to say about this place. Go eat there, you won't regret it.

Great place for drinks and food. Very well done with excellent furnishings and decor. Very friendly and helpful staff. With a wide range of options for both starters and mains. The deserts are also a must try they have a very scrumptious chocolate sandwich. With an extensive cocktail menu you are bound to find one that you like. And for you coffee lovers you must try the Espresso Martini. Note: surcharge applies for public holidays.

Went to a wedding reception here in early 2020 and had a really wonderful time. The courtyard was super tidy and aesthetically pleasing. The staff were fantastic too, even making me my own dish as I'm a super fussy eater and there was nothing on the set menu I could eat. Wish I'd taken more photos of the actual place because the vibe was super chill. They make good cocktails too!

Certainly recommended. Also will access here in the future for out catering. Top quality food including presentation along with service. Thankypu for your hospitality.

I had a delish coffee made with oat milk. Good selection of plant based milk alternatives. Didn’t have breakfast this time, but had a look at the menu would love to see a few more vegan options on there. Love this place, such a good vibe and setting. Staff were very friendly. Will be back :)

Fresh new place in Rotorua. I have only been here once while in town, and I was impressed how they have really made the building look good (being an ex Pizza Hut). The decor is modern, and the service top notch. I really appreciated the kids play area on the grass as an effective way to prevent bored children running around the restaurant. Ordered the Eggs Bene when I visited, have to say that I have had better. The hash was very flavorless and dry but the eggs were cook well. Overall, nice place by the Rotorua waterfront with great service. This is a good place to catch up with friends over brunch.

We just had a wonderful meal there. We had a nice outdoor seating. The pan fried skate wing was outdtanding. Also excellent was the beet salad garnished with local wildlife flowers. The strawberry Brulee was delicious. The service was good. Food did not take long to come to our table. The outdoor seating was by a backyard where children can play, adding a real feeling of family or community.

Went here for a 21st and had a great time. The food was fantastic, 10/10 but later in the evening alot of bugs were drawn inside by the bright lights and got rather overwhelming. I would suggest leaving outside doors shut.

Arguably the best restaurant in Rotorua. Creative dishes at reasonable prices. If you’re looking for a big steak and potatoes, this is not for you. High quality and reasonable but not excessive portions. Go here if you are more interested in quality than quantity.

Great place to chill, grab a bite or a proper meal, I’ve had a great time. The vibe is great, service attentive and very friendly and the food is tasty and at a reasonable price. Cafe has an elegant, spacious and modern interior design, making it the perfect place for casual catchup or romantic brunch. With lots of healthy clean eating options and interesting cocktails/mocktails /smoothies on offer, you'll surely find something that takes your fancy.

We had a great time and the meal was terrific. Also the mixed drinks and specialty beverages were done perfectly. We ordered the lamb shoulder item on the menu and pre oedered the day before. It takes 40 minutes to complete when you order in the restaurant but pre-ordering can cut that. Service was nice and friendly and they even started the process on the lamd behemoth, take a look at this delicious monster in my pics!!!!

Such a beautiful spot on a Wednesday morning for breakfast. The staff were very attentive and we were looked after well. Coffee was spot on and the bircher muesli was one of the most creative and delicious I have encountered. I'm looking forward to a repeat experience soon!

Something different and delicious in Rotorua! I couldn't believe it when I realised it was the old Pizza Hut. Great cappuccino, attentive service, and loved the look of the menu. Would definitely come back or recommend it to others coming through.

The Terrace Kitchen offers a wide array of food choices. We went there at night, their interiors are nice, warm and dimly lit space. Personally, morning is the best time to go and there and have freshly made coffee. The photo below shows their bone marrow and house cut fries. The drinks are kombucha (really good, well made!), mojito, and a apple cinnamon mock cocktail. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They also have a beer paddle which offers their house brewed beers, 4 150ml cups of different beers for $18. Overall: good ambience, good food, friendly staff, med-high price range. Worthy of a 4-star google rating.

Terrace Kitchen catered our wedding at the Black Barn in March for 100 guests. They also did our bar service and on-the-day coordination. The food was out of this world - seriously some of freshest, most delicious food you will ever eat. We loved working with Claudia and the team to create the wedding of our dreams. They really went above and beyond!

We had dinner at the Terrace Kitchen last weekend. service was wonderful - place was full. We had booked (glad we did). The menu hd changed since our last visit (also a very good one). The side dish of vegetables is highly recommended.

Food was generally good. Fried eggs & toast spot on. However we asked for no relish or garnish on the two egg dishes (allergies) but they came with anyway. The kids enjoyed the waffles - kids size was more than enough. Coffee was excellent.

The best place to visit for brunch/lunch or a coffee. I haven't been for dinner so can't speak to this but their service and atmosphere is great. Not to mention the excellent menu which has exciting flavours and ingredient. Food is delicious and as described on the menu. It def beats Capers which is tired and worn.

Very good food. We pre-booked the lamb shoulder and also tried the fish of the day, the pork, fries and vegetables. All good. Desserts were lovely but a bit big. Plenty of gluten free options too which is great.

Had a birthday here and we accidentally got the whole tonic bar to our selves was awesome! Really yummy food, I had everything that was vegan and it was all flavourful and delicious. Plus they made a vegan chocolate cake for us!! Definitely recommend

Excellent in every way. Last summer we were on holiday and booked for a table for 5. Unexpectedly we got caught in the most awful storm and arrived late just as the kitchen was about to close. However the kitchen was kept open for us. Exhausted and stressed from a long and arduous trip we were relieved and grateful to be greeted by the most delightful staff. The meal was delicious, the atmosphere welcoming and the staff accommodating and cheerful. What a wonderful experience.

This was the best restuarant we ate at whilst visiting the North Island and one of my favourites of all time. The ribs were so flavorful and tender, the fish of the day was cooked perfectly and the local vegetables were the best I have had. Can't rate this place high enough!

hands down the best cafe/restaurant in Rotorua, very annoyed it took us until the final day in town to discover it due to its somehow low ranking on both google and trip advisor???? Manager was an amazingly friendly italian, we came for breakfast in the morning and subsequently booked for dinner the same night due to the outstanding service, food and cleanliness. Good wines, great lamb, cocktails were amazing and the outdoor area is both very sunny and cozy. We dined at some of the most popular venues, including Urbano and Atticus Finch and Terrace Kitchen (only discovered by walking back to the car after a mediocre meal at another restaurant) was by far superior to anything else experienced in town. AMAZING!

Professional, courteous and very high standard of food and presentation - we really enjoyed our meal and despite being a large group the food all came out on time and was delicious. We were late for our booking but it was smiles all round. Well done to a really professional team at this eatery.

Have eaten here a few times when visiting Rotorua. Great selection of cocktails, and the IPA is amazing. The dinner menu is really enticing, and the service excellent. Lovely welcoming atmosphere, prompt service and timing on food. Dinner will set you back about $160. Child and family friendly. Pricing a bit on the Auckland side! Definitely one of the top places to eat dinner in Rotorua!

Stumbled upon this place today when visiting Rotorua for the first time. It's got a pleasant ambiance and delicious food. I got the chickpea entree and the bean/asparagus entree. Both were a good size--unlike the tiny sharing plates you get in the US--and both were flavorful and delicious, especially the chickpea one. I'd highly recommend this spot.

Great service, exceptional food and beautiful dacor - a real pleasure. We dined for breakfast with our kids who loved the place as they had plenty to do outside when finished. Again, the staff were great with us and our kids, we had a very good experience and will be back when visiting Rotorua in the future.

Highly recommend! Visited the Terrace last week and what a wonderful night! First off what a cool and refreshing restaurant venue. Our group dined in the rear outdoor terrace which was warm and inviting thanks to the under floor geothermal heating. Now to the main event! As a foodie I was excited to try out this new restaurant on the Rotorua scene. I was lucky enough to be with a group of people so we were able to take maximum advantage of the shared menu style dining. This meant getting to try half a dozen of the selection on offer and I can honestly say not a single dish disappointed. Everything was so fresh and delicious each plate its own little work of art. The Lamb Riblets and Fried Chicken dishes were mouth-wateringly good! Also the deserts are simply not to be missed. I will certainly be returning here as soon as possible.

Loads of tasty treats!...trump comes here for bone marrow which he finds hard to eat politely.. Mel on other hand enjoys a rare sirloin which she enjoys with a bowl a of curly fries and thousand island sauce (bit weird,) any leftovers are fed to the orphans.

Rotorua is known for its hospitality, and is slowly gaining respect amongst coffee drinkers too with that being said Terrace Kitchen is leading the charge with some exceptionally brewed coffee. Sadly, the one thing this place is lacking is solid food menu. It seems like they are trying too hard to be up market and different. A ‘deconstructed eggs bene’ that looks and tastes like a Sunday morning summer kiwi breakfast than a classic eggs bene. If you want a place for a client meeting for coffee, beer and wine... Terrace is awesome. ...but if you want a quality classic tidy flavoursome feed.. steer clear. #truthhurtsometimes

Great food but be ready for high prices. The staff and lovely and provide great service and the menu is good but the food ranges from $20-35 for a main item (possibly more than you might want to pay for a cafe breakfast).

We struggled to find a nice restaurant with decent pricing but these guys definitely ticked those boxes. Great selection of food all amazing ingredients used. The mussel fritter was the worst I have experienced.flour and water with a few pieces of over cooked mussel.Chef should sit down and eat one,side salad great.send chef to coromandel where they know how to make them.mussels are our cheapest seafood therefore their should be plenty in a fritter.
