J.I stayed here over the Waitangi Weekend 2021 at was the most enjoyable experience.
The pictures don't do justice on how beautiful this place is, it's tranquil and quiet and such a hidden gem.
So many hidden spots to just sneak off for a small picnic and wine, tea session, yoga session or snuggle up and read a book.
Perfect for a wedding or any function really and the wedding planner/owner was so lovely to deal with.
Prices are affordable too, while it doesn't offer room service in terms of food, the township is 7 mins away and easy to access.
A tranquil getaway for anyone looking for nature and quiet time.

J.We got married at Waterlily Gardens in November 2020. Rachel (the owner) and her husband (Evan) are just top class to deal with. Professional, friendly, and thoughtful. Rachal made planning a wedding in 4 months a breeze. They provided an exceptional setting for a small and intimate wedding and allowed the guests to explore and enjoy what was on offer. The food and drink was terrific. A truly magic night which we will never forget. We highly recommend Waterlily Garderns.
H.We got married at the Waterlily Gardens in March 2019. The venue was perfect! Rachael, Evan, and the rest of the team were absolutely amazing! Rachael was super helpful leading up the big day, she was quick to offer helpful suggestions and ease our worries. The wedding day ran like clockwork, we had nothing to do but enjoy our day! We chose the buffet dinner and the food was excellent. We were able to accommodate vegetarians, allergies and religious needs while having great, tasty food. Our guests loved the grazing table and garden games. Waterlily Gardens are so naturally beautiful we didn't need much extra decor or flowers, and we were able to take stunning photos on site. The cottages are awesome. We stayed two nights and we were able to have the hair and makeup artist get the bridal party ready on site which is super convenient.
Overall we had a fantastic day and a good part of that is thanks to the hard work of Rachael, Evan, and the team.
I would whole heartedly recommend the Waterlily Gardens as a venue for your wedding or event. The cottage accommodation is amazing, the gardens are stunning in all seasons and Waterlily Gardens are well worth a visit.
S.Little disappointed that they haven't got a drop off point for elderly guest's. It would be so easy to do.
A.Great venue with very helpful staff. The setting was lovely and a nice walk to the lily ponds for the service. Food was excellent. Nice to have it brought to your table family style to share.
S.We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Rachael and Evan. We had booked the Gardens for a wedding in June but of course everything was thrown upside down because of COVID-19. Rachael is an excellent communicator and they have gone above and beyond trying to accommodate us as much as possible for the wedding which ended up being April 28. While the reception couldn’t be at the gardens due to regulations, they allowed us to take some beautiful photos and the cottage is stunning. Cannot recommend Rachael and Evan and The Waterlily Gardens highly enough. Thank you so much for everything. Absolute 5 star rating.

s.What a lovely place to relax and enjoy the view. Great hosting and info on the area from the new owners Rachael and Evan. The cottage looks fabulous after the renovation you have done and we all felt super warm and cozy with the fire, on a rainy Saturday night. I have posted a photo our daughter took on the Sunday morning just so others can see the beautiful views, you lucky guys get to see everyday. We will be back. 💖
R.Rachel - sorry it has taken me so long to write this review. My wife and I stayed a few weeks ago in the Lily Pad Cottage and loved, loved, loved it. The wood burner fire is a great touch and the grounds of the lily garden are a perfect place to walk off our breakfast. Keep up the good work. S.Gorgeous wedding venue complete with beautiful waterlily ponds scattered around the grounds. Great quiet place to camp on site, front paddock was peaceful and serene.
E.I had the pleasure of staying in the Lotus Cottage - a beautifully thought out and very comfortable accommodation set within the stunning grounds of the Waterlily Gardens. New owners, Rachel and Evan are transforming this place and are very welcoming hosts who made my stay an absolute pleasure. With an onsite cafe serving delicious home cooked and baked foods and the serenity of the gardens, this is the perfect get away. I very much look forward to booking my next visit! Thank you.

S.Wow, what a place. Peaceful and flowery. Just what the doctor ordered. We stayed for a couple of nights in the cottages and would thoroughly recomend anyone else looking to escape the smog of Auckland to come and visit - thanks guys - you might just have made another baby......
S.We stayed here for 3 nights with two children aged 9 and 12. Its a beautiful setting to get away for it all but still close to some of the action that Waihi Beach offers. The hosts provided a great personal service, the cabin was clean and tidy and offered all the amenities that you would possibly need during your stay, plus, the price was good too - well worth the money. So, if you live in Auckland and want a quick pause, refresh and go - then this place should be a contender.......

C.Recently stayed in one of the cabins. Weather was terrible but we were so cosy with the fire going. It was a super relaxing weekend. Rachael and family were awesome hosts.

The lily pad cottage offers a tranquil getaway from life’s hustle and bustle, with an inviting cosy layout, lovely wood burner fire to ease those winter chills and the grounds of the lily garden are simply superb to explore. Can’t wait to visit during the summertime when all the lilies are in bloom.
