We run a small to medium sized, busy tourism business and after I went to a couple of Miriam's free morning seminars (fabulous, by the way), we decided to change accountants and use Futureproof Concepts last year. It was the best move ever! Miriam taught me how to use Xero and now I feel like I actually know where all our money goes and comes from and it is saving us quite a bit of money as well. It has left me feeling empowered and whenever I have a question, Miriam is only a text or phone call away, she always takes the time and nothing is a problem!

Just wanted to share about my new relationship with Miriam and Future Concepts ltd who was recommended to me by a work colleague in 2019. Miriam was very easy to talk to and felt like she really could see my vision regarding starting a new business. Building relationships is key for me and by the end of 2019 I was ready to quit my 9 to 5 mahi and create a business for me and my whanau. Miriam is amazing accountant , who take care of her client quite amazing. She has been my accountant over year and half , she will try guide you suggest the best advice for your business. I have had other accountant before and I was new in business I needed their assistant but they would never answer the email or pick up calls then I switched to her .. I was quite surprised one day when I called her and she was overseas , she simply messaged me back ask her to send her email and replied the email with in 4 hours . And mind you she just does simply charge you for calling her or asking simple question like others . I would highly recommend anyone ...

I want to thank Futureproof Concepts for getting my husband and I on the right track for our new small business. I always feel welcomed and at home whenever I attend a workshop at the Futureproof Concepts office. First of all I attended the 4-week Business Planning Course. I got to meet other small business owners and learnt off them as well. I learnt to put a business vision in place and to write goals down so I can achieve my vision, amongst other business strategies. I have also attended the free Xero accounting software workshop. Thank you so much, Miriam, for your workshop today. I heard about this course through the library and because it was my school holidays, I had time to attend - My curiosity was piqued because I am a terrible procrastinator, and anything that would help that is something I need. The fact it was free was an incentive to come as some courses can be expensive and miss the mark. You spoke quite a bit about brain research that informs current understanding of why we behave as we do and gave strategies to reshape our habits in order to be more productive. This matched my own findings on brain work so enabled me to have confidence in the rest of the information you shared. This was also helpful for me as I get mind-locked and immobilised by anxiety with fear of failure and perfectionism. The powerpoint provided a good roadmap, supplemented by your anecdotes and advice and this made the workshop more personal and accessible. Perhaps you could be a little more succinct about these. You touched on the importance of communicating, (types of praise) and I think that you could add a piece on choosing specific vocabulary in order to communicate to others - it can be a minefield and is worth taking care with in order to foster the future of relationships. Thank you for generously sharing your template and powerpoint - they were treasures to take away and help with memory retention and reminders: I will be able to use it as part of evidence of professional development when submitting this requirement to my principal. The exercise the group did I found easy to do after that was easy to do in a good time frame, and it empowered me to to tackle my biggest task that has been looming, so I left the workshop feeling really good. All the best with your future endeavours - I hope to encourage someone with your ideas - he is fully capable of running his own business and just needs a gentle push in that direction.
