Great place to pick up fresh produce that last alot longer than supermarket produce lovely to see the talent of Timaru and around coming out to give the market a great atmosphere to relax in.

A relaxed, casual way to browse and shop for fresh veg, free range eggs, gift / craft lines, homemade produce, food, among other things, and all to the background music of a live band, who I might add, are very good in my opinion. They play the music I like to hear anyway. Worth a look.

Adds a really good vibe to the town. A good variety of stalls. The market is continually evolving, and always interesting.
K.
Huge variety of market stalls selling lots of crafts, plants, jewellery, candles. Limited food options for the health conscious & some fresh produce but limited as not much organic or sprayfree at the moment. Check it out if your in Timaru Saturday mornings.

Visited this market for the first time. One can find the green leafy vegetables inexpensive and fresh. There were not many stalls so the options were less. Market opens at 9 in the morning and closed by noon. Public toilets and ample parking is available in front of the market.

Nice variety of stalls, (although only a few stalls) the stall holders are friendly and have quality produce and hand made products. There is hot and cold food, fruit and vege, hydroponic lettuce, honey, and handmade soaps. There is a large selection of preserves. The stall holders can change from week to week, sometimes there are buskers and performers. The highlight for me was a stall holder had gluten free and vegetarian options.
G.
Very poor selection of what is sold however the locals no doubt can buy at a reasonable price their vegetables for the week. I guess the quantity and stock available is dictated by the seasons .... friendly stall holders
