R.Fresh vegetables and fruit straight from the farmers. It's fun seeing quirky vegetable shapes among the numerous tables and boxes of produce. There are bread and cheese stalls as well as a fishtruck. One must try the goods served at the coffee truck. It is worth to check out the crafts stalls in the hall as well.
G.It's great to have the market back in action. There's a subtle redesign to help manage space and flow which seems to work. It comes at a bit of a cost for capacity, but it's mostly back to normal.
K.Fresh vegetables at cheaper prices. Food stoles. Bread, fresh juice and much more at very reasonable prices. Most retailers take efptos and some take debit cards too.
I.This Market happen every Saturday and open from 07.00am till 02.00pm, The prices is very Good, Good place to buy your weekly Vegetables and Fruits, Noodle, Tofu. Highly Recommended.
S.Our Saturday morning Routine... going to the market and buy veggies and fruits. Very affordable and very good quality!!! Coriander for $1-$1.50 instead of $4 in the Supermarket. Apples between 1.29 - 2.50 kilo, Potatoes 1.99 kilo... etc of course depending on the season but always cheaper then anywhere else!
K.Get ready for the hustle and bustle. Lots of people, lots of beautiful fresh fruit and veggies. Easiest with cash but a few vendors are taking money cards. Decent size market, huge variety, best quality.
P.Great local fruit and veg market, heaps of parking, great prices and awesome selection, a must if your on a budget.
C.Better produce than the Sunday Waterfront market but is lacking in the abundance of greasy food trucks.
J.This is such a treat for us, as we live in Taranaki and have nothing like this. So we try and time our trips to Wellington to catch a market. The variety is amazing, the produce is excellent, the vendors serve everyone quickly and efficiently. The system works! I wish I could shop here every week, like my daughter does. It has a great vibe.

P.Love this market, way cheaper to buy your fruit and veggies here. And a great choice of Asian vegetables. The food stalls have a good variety of ethnic foods... always good to try something new.
L.Cheapest vege markets in Wellington in my experience. 4-5 regular vendors means there's competition and the prices are good. Recommend a walk around and comparison of prices and quality before buying from any. Also recommend the fresh squeezed tropical juice - big cup for only 5 bucks!

M.Going here is part of our Saturday morning routine. Excellent variety of veg & fruit. Quality and prices differ between stalls so we sometimes do the rounds before we buy. We get here around 7.30am & it's not crowded. The later in the morning you leave it the more crowded it becomes and the longer it takes to get your perishable shopping done. You can also purchase fresh fish, free range eggs, fresh tofu, fresh meat & cheese and buy brunch foods.
R.I live close by so it's easy to get here. The fruit and veg you get here is the same as the supermarket stuff but much cheaper. Come early 0800 for good choice and less crowds. Good cheese, meat and fish at the back of the market. Also great Ethiopian food. Recommended.
J.Wonderful Saturday only fruit and vegetable market. The prices vary wildly but compared to supermarkets is always significantly cheaper. >10 vendors give you wide range of choice, quality and prices. Friendly, genuine merchants.
Get there at least 1 hour before closing as they start packing up early.

Love getting my fresh veges each week so much fresher broccoli than from a supermarket.

S.Wide variety of high quality fruit and vegetables, at very affordable prices. Can't beat the market! I never buy produce from supermarkets anymore.

G.This was my favourite couple of months ago but recently things have changed. Even if I go early in the morning sometimes it's hard to find fresh produce. And the prices aren't cheap. You can find better produce in supermarkets nearby for the same price or sometimes even less.
M.Every Saturday rain or shine. A great place local to me to get me veges and fruit and eggs etc. And a great coffee stand. Sam is the man who is there every week. Go and see him for a fine hot beverage and pick me up.
L.Great place to get seasonal fruits and vegetables. It's quite good even when it's raining, as it doesn't get too windy as other markets in town during the weekends. Some stalls have EFTPOS for payment, which is very convenient.
N.Large variety of fruits and vegetables and much cheaper than most of supermarkets. I visit here every Saturday morning to get fresh fruits, veggies and eggs. There are lot of vendors here and some of them allows payment with debit/ credit cards.
B.You can find cheap fruit, veg, eggs, noodles, tofu. There's also freshly squeezed juice and lots of hot food to eat. Great for a weekend activity and it's always nice to buy locally produced goods.

K.It was a lot better before Newtown School did it's rebuild, the market is a lot more smaller now and doesn't feel as good as it used to be. Be the rebuild I would have given 5 star rating
A.Best market in Wellington with a range of local product like artisan bread, cakes, and amazing French cheese, etc. A bit small for the amount of people that attend weekly, but that doesn't take away from its charm.
