M.Good location with a good selection of produce, milk etc.
They have a nice variety of cold and warm snacks and also good pastries.
Why not 5 stars?
The seating is either close to the cashier or outside near the road.
Otherwise, a great place for fresh and local produce and to have a coffee and snack.
They also have great ice cream.
Y.Always good coffee.
The food is nice enough but not a selection of smaller pieces other than a sweet..like a club sandwich & perhaps smaller savouries..like nice filled bread cases. Often the pies are gone early..& there are no other heated savouries. Ah..blow.
I've taken a few out as I enjoy the area & but find most aren't so keen on the more fancy food offerred & end up choosing a sweet for the sake of having something.
Unfortunately I can't recommend the carrot cake..myself & another think the icing doesn't go(as at 3/4 months ago today.. 13/5/22)..lemon cream cheese would make it a hit.
But this is what it is & why I'm not in a hurry to recommend anymore. A neice & I may still go & if no pie we can enjoy the seed bar..half each with a coffee.
R.The best coffee we had in Whangarei! The Black Stump Cafe, located within Huanui Fresh Produce was a welcome find after an afternoon at the nearby Adventure Forest. We found the service to be fantastic, the food to be great, and the coffee to be amazing. Highly recommended if you’re in the area or passing through.

A.Homemade Ice-cream! Do yourself a favour, and get one of the Homemade ice creams at the coffee shop. Little pricey, but worth every sent. Unique flavours, excellent quality. I thoroughly loved it!

A.This morning, I had a gorgeous Date and Orange muffin with a large Mocha at The Black Stump Cafe in Huanui Fresh. This cafe is situated in the old Huanui Orchard Shop. Wonderfully present food and friendly staff with the option to buy local produce in the attached shop.
