Customer service post sale was very poor gaving us just enough info so we would go away. We were about to cancel but Assistant Mgr Vik turned the experience around with decent customer service. We bought a couch in July 2021 - buying NZ made as this was 6-8 weeks delivery instead of 2022. When signing the paperwork the date was 8-10 weeks. Come delivery time we called for update to be told that due to COVID it would be the end of the following month. Followed up again to be told the same thing - when prompted further for a better explanation they said the boat for international shipments was held up - when I explained that the product was NZ made they didn't have an answer and said they'd call back - which they didn't. When I called back at the beginning of Dec - delivery was now going to be end of January, so I said we wanted to cancel the order. That is when Vik came onto the scene. He actually provided service, explaining exactly where the product was and what the steps were needed to get it to us. He phoned with the updates and emailed confirmation and made sure we had it delivered before Christmas. Thankyou Vik - he is an asset to the Sylvia park team and without him you would have lost the $7k+ sale.

Go to the Sylvia park store if you're looking for curtains, 2 lovely ladies gave us lots of help and 1 of them is very knowledgeable with curtains and she also knows what sort of new stocks are coming in.

Love Freedom furniture the best furniture shop in NZ. Good range of furniture and good quality too. Thanks Tom for your excellent service provide, Friendly and professional. Enjoying my new furniture now. Good high quality solid wood furniture at very reasonable price. Freedom Sylvia Park would be my first choice for future furniture shopping for sure. Highly recommended for my friends

Gotta love this shop. Lots of great quality Furniture couches beds etc etc. I particularly liked the couches and only interchangeable parts, legs and options I give you from material to style to softness. I find the equality is a bit better than most other places. They also have a good range of homeware products

Great range of furniture and well priced. They have a lovely selection of homewares as well. Love going for a walk through their store for inspiration! Staff are super friendly, helpful and nothing is too much problem, the ladies all feel like friends when you go in there. I would highly recommend Freedom Furniture Sylvia Park if you're looking to upgrade your furnishings or just looking for inspiration. 5 stars from me.

Really lovely furniture here. Staff are friendly and v v helpful. Can be a bit pushy. However, I purchased a mirror and ended up needing a bigger one. Went to take back and exchange was a breeze. Thank you staff at Mt Wellington store!!!

I would like to recommend this store to you. My experience at Freedom Furniture has been EXCEPTIONAL. Over the past few days, I have been choosing curtains and have had some practical advice from Jenny, who has extensive knowledge of the products she sells. Initially, she suggested I take a curtain home to see how the colour was at home. I did not do so and regretted my decision. When I requested an exchange of curtains due to colour choice, Jenny arranged this option efficiently and without fuss. I am very grateful to Jenny and I value Freedom Furnitures exchange policy. Excellent customer service. I had a very good shopping experience with them on Boxing Day 2019. The store was packed (as expected for a sale day) and I recieved first class service from one of their friendly staff members. All my items were packed nicely and I even had help to take everything out to my car! I was very impressed.

Judy Hunt is amazing. She has great design flair and is always so helpful and positive. She has helped me create two fantastic rooms now and has the wow factor. I can't recommend her highly enough.

I love freedom but sadly their delivery service and lack of stock often means months of waiting for your purchase. They also wanted to charge us $95 to deliver a coffee table literally 10mins away

Purchased a bed frame which came in a wrong dimension but they had admitted the mistake in which the information had wrongly given to us at the first place. The Store Manager Matthieu Levrat served us super well by minimized the hassle when solving the problem. Matt was genuinely helpful, informative and really went out of his way for us. Exceptional service and communication by Matt!!! He is a superstar and his knowledge is very valuable! Sad that Freedom doesn't supply King size bed furniture but with this service I'll definitely choose Freedom Sylvia Park for my future purchase!

Staff can be a little in your face here - you walk around the store and it seems like every staff member asks if you need any help - I understand that they are doing their job but you don't need to be asked the question 10 times..
