Looks much tidier than the last time we were there. Restaurant has also changed names so hopefully a different chief . The young lady in the bar so nice. We took a risk after last visit it paid off such a beautiful view etc.

It's an excellent venue but don't swim in the lake as you might get a rash. On a more serious note, the food is amazing and the staff are super helpful. The rooms you can book there are definitely worth it and the views from the beds are fantastic, I would definitely recommend the breakfasts every morning.

Great food & service. We sat for 2hrs enjoying our lunch & felt totally relaxed.

A quiet and secluded place to unwind and relax. However, there are a few things to note. The shower does not drain very well as tiles are not sloped to the drain causing puddles and resulting in a damp floor for majority of the stay. But this was also due to the fan in the bathroom not working/not being able to be turned on. After housekeeping came the bed was not remade and glasses in our cupboard were dirty. A good thing to note is that in a king suite you still get some sort of a lake view even if small. Would recommend telling your guest a 50 dollar deposit is required per person for the entirety of your stay and it is not returned straight away. Paint was also peeling on the bathroom door and wall. I’ve stayed in Airbnb’s with better quality. We were also told a private parking spot would be outside the room but cars were already there.

You can't really say a bad thing about the place. It was designed to be elegant and functional, and it's elegant and functional. Great golf course, beautiful lakeside real estate and very well organised function centre. I dined 4 times for luncheon at the restaurant with others, so I believe I saw the full menu. It was very good food, excellent service and hasn't failed in its delivery of that in the past decade. ats off to the resort a N d hats off to Peppers

Really enjoyed my stay for my 40th with hubby & friends. Staff were amazing and friendly! Loved the fresh clean sheets daily 😍 bubble bath was a dream! Morning view from our bedroom was stunning! Thank you for an amazing weekend!

Loved our stay at this resort, so beautiful setting and tranquil surrounding. Our room was inmaculate and loved the smell of freshly baked loaf upon our arrival. Quick and efficient checkin at reception, very friendly staff and attention to details. Duty Manager Harprit was most helpful in answering our questions, nothing was a trouble and attended to our request for a delivery to the resort. He asserted professionism and I really appreciated his assistance. Thank you Harprit for the excellent service. Will visit again soon. Kind Regards Vivien

Fantastic spot, room is amazing, great view, peaceful, very happy. Food at the restaurant was delicious and catered for being vegan. Really good value, slightly out of town but that's the point and still not far from everything.

Great place for a seminar along with good catering.

My sister and new brother-in-law had their wedding reception here. They put their trust in myself, my little sisters and my husband to set up the centrepieces and anything else they needed prior to the reception. My sisters point of contact Amanda (who I understand was fantastic) was not available until later in the day. So we had Ginson in the morning to help us and answer any and all of our questions. He was beyond helpful and definitely helped relieve our stress. What a fantastic venue. We appreciated the service we received and it is absolutely stunning being right on the lake like that.

A wonderful resort set upon a lush golf course. The view from the rooms on the lake was a bit cloudy on our visit, but you could see the mountains in the distance when they cleared. Breakfast was served in the main building and was fresh and plentiful. Staff were very pleasant and helpful with any requests we had.

I loved this place so much. If your going to Christchurch I highly recommend booking a room at the resort. My fiance booked it for a work meeting and I absolutely loved the apartments. Very high end, private, and very luxurious. And beautiful views. So worth your money if your are looking for a beautiful place to stay 😍😍😍

Beautiful setting, meticulously maintained grounds and extremely quiet. It restores your soul with the surrounding scenery. Decor in the units is a little tired but everything is super comfortable. I enjoyed staying there and would stay there again. The staff are super efficient and friendly!

Great little resort, though the grounds are quite big. The staff is very kind and accommodating, rooms are quiet and clean, and the property is gorgeous. The food is tasty, decent selection of beer at the Sprig too, which is on the lake with a view of the course. Pretty trails, plenty of walking or running, tennis courts, etc. Great place for a small vacation.

The service and the food was amazing. I’ve been there twice and both times the food has been amazing. If you are staying the night, the accommodation is not very modern and needs a bit of maintenance but In general you’ll have an amazing time. The people from reception will come to pick you up in a van to go to the restaurant but in fact will be faster and probably a bit cheaper if they come with a golf cart. If you upgrade your regular room , they have a bread maker and as soon as you open the door to check in the amazing smell of fresh bake bread comes to you. Love it Overall, amazing weekend

Beautiful accommodation, lovely staff. Rooms were immaculate, spacious and modern, we stayed 2 nights and loved it. Unfortunately the restaurant was fully booked so we couldn't go for dinner but did have a few drinks in the bar, which were reasonably priced, the view looks out over the golf course. King size bed was comfortable, shower pressure was really good there were cooking facilities for us to use. It's a long way out of town, 25 minutes by Uber which cost $30 each way so be prepared and allow time if you need to be somewhere. Otherwise you could just stay at the resort and chill, walk around the lakes and enjoy the area. Undercover parking provided. Balcony to sit out and enjoy the lake view from your room and room service is also available. No shops nearby, so good idea to grab any essentials you need before you get there, they do supply tea coffee etc and a there is a minibar bar.

I can't recommend this place enough, the staff were amazing and catered to our every request without any hesitation, the view from our room was beautiful, food at the restaurant was outstanding. I will definitely be back.

So happy with our stay here. Great views, bathtub over looks the lake and golf club. Fresh loaf of bread had been made in the bread cooker so it was still warm. Loved seeing the ducks and eels when we went out the back which was the lake. So nice here.

Kia ora, the service at the front desk was fantastic. We were taken care of very well. The room was a little tired but great view, peaceful and everything you need.

Had the best Ceasars Salad ever.

Booked a night here to escape the construction site next to our apartment. It looked so beautiful driving in through the trees and as we came up to our "lakeview room" we saw a huge construction site with banging hammers RIGHT NEXTDOOR to where we had to stay! No warning of this on the website. Went back to the reception and they changed us over to another room which had a veiw of the other houses and not as private. :( Bed was uncomfortable and itchy there were little biting bugs in it so we barely slept. LOTS of spider webs which I found odd. Why not spray or waterblast? Sliding door was also busted. Positive things were the complimentary lotions/coffee caps and the food was decent from room service. Staff was friendly. Would not stay again though it's more long term accomodation for snooty golf millionaires wanting a gated community than a resort for a luxury stay.

Very nice serene n a place that will give you a well rested holiday. Nearby walking trials are available. Rooms r spacious. Be sure to ask for e newer rooms if booking. It's a distance away from the shops though. This is a place to just relax n get away from the bustle noise.

Incredible accommodation overlooking a massive lake on a New Zealand golf course. Each villa typically shares 2-4 seperate rooms. During our stay we had all sorts of people come in and out making a hell of a lot of noise in all hours of the night. It’s beautiful if you have the right neighbours but based on our experience we wouldn’t stay here again.

Lovely quiet location. Feeding the ducks from our balcony was a great way to start the morning. We stepped into the house and our jaws dropped at the view and the spacious rooms. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a bit of luxury, and a quiet relaxing spot.

We had a problem with our booking upon arrival after having driven for 6 hrs from Picton ferry. Turned out we had booked wrong dates; the booking agent wasn’t available on the phone. Though it was a 3rd party company, the hotel staff helped us to contact them, changed the dates, so we didn’t end up paying twice as much for the same room AND having two rooms booked. We’re frequent hotel stayers, we like to choose not just random hotels, but places with a character. Weirdly I hardly remember more than two hotels we stayed in. Indeed it is the staff’s attitude and approach that makes your stay special. I’m sure we will remember Peppers Clearwater for the feeing of safety their staff gave us. No need to mention exceptionally clean and cosy rooms, fully equipped with all appliances a couple with a baby might need, all plug ins where you need them, all lights are soft and switches where you need them; delicious dinner by the fire and hearty breakfast with a frosty lake view.

Rooms were very nice and well appointed. Staff seemed a little unorganised in reception, restaurant and bar area. Felt the 22c credit card fee on an $11 drink was far too high and they were far too slow in refunding the $50 bond they put on my credit card when registering on arrival. Would stay again though purely for the rooms.

Good venue and good, great service.

Friendly staff provided great service. Very nice suite overlooking the lake. Bread was baking in the bread maker when we entered, which was a pleasant surprise. Delicious 😋

Well appointed comfortable room. Not many undercover areas when moving from room to restaurant if raining. Food good although a bit pricey. Service first class.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Very clean and tidy with carparking out the front of the room. We are local to the area but enjoy staying away from home and this is a nice alternative to being in the city. We would definitely recommend the resort to friends and will hopefully visit again in the near future.

Being golfers this seemed like a great place to stay - and it certainly was. We are really pleased that we got are rental car first, as it is a bit of a hike to the resort - and they don't provide a free shuttle. However on arrival the lovely Alex couldn't have been more accomodating. She helped us out immensley and was absolute gold mine of useful information. In a room overlooking a lake (or small enough to be a pond?) we enjoyed the water views. The highlight though was, of course the golf course - over three days we played 63 holes of golf on the sweet course that's there. While this wouldn't be my first choice for the person that likes to go out and walk the local attractions - it is perfect if you want tranquility and gold and already have a rental car arranged

This is a real gem. Fab room and so spacious. Very friendly staff. If requested, they will pick you up from your apartment and take you to the lobby and vice versa. Beautiful surroundings. Bit out of the way from the city but very relaxing.

After staying here recently I would highly recommend this place. View was stunning out of the room, check in/ out staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic close to the airport and the greatest thing about Christchurch is that everything is pretty much within a 30 min drive, so why stay in a cramped room with a boring view when you can stay here. The bread in our room baking was definitely a first and very yummy wish there were some spreads to put on it. Overall location was fantastic and would definitely stay here again! Didn’t get a chance to try the food as the kitchen was closed so I would recommend bringing some snacks/ food with you when you stay as the kitchen/ room service closes quite early. Parking was really good here it’s first in but parking on the ‘road’ so all good. Only recommendation to the hotel is put a bell at reception in case someone is out back and no one is at the desk, secondly please make some instructions on how to work the heating Christchurch is cold so would be good to know how to make the room a tad warmer.

Spent 3 nights here in one of the suites. Stunning views. Staff were helpful and super friendly. Breakfast was nice. Highly recommend.

I did not stay here, but my cousin in law does regularly, as she flies with Singapore Air. The lake side apartments look really nice and are well equipped. Unfortunately like a lot of apartments I have stayed at that have AC or heatpumps, the filters are never cleaned. It is beyond me why they never clean them as they lose up to 30% efficiency, and are really disgusting, I knew it was dirty, just by the sound it makes, and when I took them out, they had years of dirt on them! Please anyone that stays they get the filters checked or do it yourself!

As always, staff were amazing in their support of our NASA crew during our stay. Upon entering we were greeted with the scent of freshly baked bread and found fresh bread in the bread machine ready for feasting. I will be more than happy to recommend to anyone, a.

Excellent resort, amazing view and facilities. Stayed in the lakefront view with the family. Not sure how this is only rated at 4.5 stars, felt like it was 5 stars. Good value for money for a 5 star feeling.

We have been several times in the last couple of weeks because we love the meals as they are so delicious and the staff are so friendly and make you feel very welcome. It is a must to visit.

Like the environment of the resort but cleanliness has to be improved. Close proximity to the airport, so if thats what ure looking for then its great. The restaurant offers pretty decent food too.

New Zealand itself is so beautiful that every motel, hotel and resort seem to be so amazing purely due to the landscape it fits in. Staff cheerfully carried the bags up and down for us which was appreciated tremendously. Lake view villas offer exceptional views and are quiet and comfortable.

Staff are very friendly, the setting and view are outstanding and every time we come, which is often, the food has been excellent.

It is a golf resort. A single restaurant and pub. No convenience store around. The nearest mall is 15 min drive away. Nice and relaxing if you want to do nothing or golf. Other than that, clear water pond and lush greenery.

Very nice resort, with a big golf xourse. Rooms are clean and tidy. Some rooms come with kitchen and a living hall. Bed room is located on the 2nd floor. However, lots of the furnitures in the room are getting old. Resort located away from main road. There were no shops or shopping mall nearby. Resort will provide transport to the nearest mall about 10 minutes drive away.

Make sure you ask about majour earth works going on. Drilling rigs right next to our lakeside Villa. 7am-5pm. They could have and should have been honest.

Very nice, good food ,and atmosphere

Went here for high tea using a GrabOne. The nibbles were quite good and the bubbles (which were included) were nice. It took a long time to be seated despite having a booking, they were apologetic about it.

My experience here was wonderful, the lake view houses where i stayed, super recommend. Big, organized. thankful!

Absolutely divine stunning views beautiful friendly staff spectacularly clean and the restaurant food was amazing and the rooms heavenly .The chef was super amazing we had a Spanish buffet however as we spent most of the day photographing the gorgeous views we didnt go to dinner until 8.15 PM but we were not rushed out the door we were extremely well looked after and the chef boxed up two delish treats for us .I cant reccomend this place high enough I will absolutely be back

I recently stayed at Peppers Clearwater....its undoubtedly the best resort i have been to... the Lakeview suite was such a delight...the staff is very helpful and friendly... i personally can just spend a week there without a need to even step out of the resort :-) Excellent experience indeed....

One of the best kept secrets in th south. Greens and Fairways well maintained reasonably priced and some days you can have the whole course to yourself.

Only stopped for coffee with the cycle group (16 strong) but made very welcome and great coffee (as were) the muffins!

(Translated) A very nice facility - but far from downtown Christchurch. Anyone on a golf vacation is in good hands here. Maybe it makes sense to stay far from the center of Christchurch? After the devastating earthquake, the city center is still not fully functional. However, the rooms on the first floor cannot be reached by people who carry heavy suitcases without the help of a suitcase boy. The food in the restaurant was great! (Original) Eine sehr schöne Anlage - allerdings weit entfernt von der Innenstadt Christchurchs. Wer einen Golf-Urlaub macht, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Vielleicht ist es sinnvoll, weit vom Zentrum Christchurchs zu übernachten? Nach dem verheerenden Erdbeben ist die Innenstadt ja noch immer nicht voll funktionsfähig. Die Räume im ersten Stock sind allerdings für Personen, die schwere Koffer mit sich führen, ohne die Hilfe eines Kofferboys nicht erreichbar. Das Essen im Restaurant war spitze!
