What an amazing golf course set on three different levels each with 6 holes. Nice wide fairways and two really elevated tees 7th and 13th then at the end a cable car ride about 100mtrs straight up back to the clubhouse

Not often I post a 5/5 for a rural golf club but this was truly a great surprise. Interesting cause with options off the tee's to make you think and a great ride home on the lift. All this well kept by members and staff. 2yrs later. Played it again today. I still think it's great! See you again, sooner hopefully than the last time. 👍

This has to be NZs greatest hidden secret. Fantastic course and superb hospitality. Everyone including myself says I must try that golf course some day as they drive by going north or south( if you are a golfer that is). I finally took the time and what a great experience it was.

Joined the Rangatira crew at midday for the haggle on a windy Saturday. Was teamed up with the tail enders who turned out to be a bunch of really good characters and proceeded to have a thoroughly entertaining afternoon. Volcanic terraces are common in most of the large rivers in the central north island and this course is spread across three of these terraces. The lower two terraces provide a decent bit of shelter from wind. Worth a visit just for the scenery. In such a great setting, there are some really standout holes, the 13th is probably the standout for me. Beers in the club room afterwards was very convivial and engaging. Great views from the three tiers the golf course is laid out on. I have been quite a few times and thoroughly enjoyed each visit. Only been once when the bar was open and it was a very friendly atmosphere. Take some extra balls for the 13th tee where you turn away from the golf course and try and drive it over the river.

This is an amazing golf course to play,would recommend to any golfers around the world. We really enjoyed it and scenery was amazing. Definitely coming in the winter to play again.

(Translated) A pretty 18-hole country (which we only played the first 9) which becomes more and more technical over the course, all at a more than reasonable price. Warning certain off limits where the bullets are irretrievably lost: better to be short and straight as long and OB. Possibility to rent a set of clubs. The equipment is a bit worn but still does the trick. Most bags even contain balls, tees, towels or bottle Desperado intact! The lady who greeted us was very friendly and we thank her for her warm welcome. (Original) Un joli 18 trous champêtre (dont nous n'avons joué que les 9 premiers) qui devient de plus en plus technique au fil du parcours, le tout à un prix plus que raisonnable. Attention à certains hors limites où les balles se perdent irrémédiablement : mieux vaut être court et droit que long et OB. Possibilité de louer un jeu de clubs. Le matériel est un peu défraîchi mais fait néanmoins l'affaire. La plupart des sacs contient même balles, tees, serviettes, voire bouteille de Desperado intacte ! La dame qui nous a accueillis est très aimable et nous la remercions pour son accueil sympathique.
