J.Would highly recommend for a relaxing break. Great location for short day trips to numerous walking tracks, cycle ways, and scenic drives. Staff super friendly and helpful. The wine is outstanding and once you taste their wines you will want to join their wine club 😎😎😎

A.What an amazing, welcoming place. Amazing showcase of wines, with 5 wineries on offer. Out wine host Neil Kapadia was an incredible and very enthusiastic person to host a wine tasting, a real change from other wineries we visited today.
I would recommend staring and finishing at this wineries as the food is amazing, the service is on point and the friendliness is infectious. A real model of kiwi hospitality
Nb: the cheese platter and the Wild Irishman pinot went too quickly....

G.Me and my partner we enjoyed one night stayed with their great deal for $195 for 1 night in their beautiful, super Cosy and comfortable cabins, it included a grea wine tasting with a experienced sommelier, usage of a hot tub, which I personally recommend do it on the latest time available so you can enjoy a stargazing night. Amazing.
Next day we woke up with the sounds of birds and beautiful sunrise, we enjoyed a great a la carte breakfast (included in the package). Overall the experience at Kinross is a must. You can also have the possibility of rent a bike or Ebike and stroll around the different wineries around.
K.My first visit to Kinross… Fabulous Rosè, nice ambiance, great service 👍🏻 and the food… with no reservation the Parmesan Truffle Fries are the BEST fries I have EVER had, delicious and so was the vege pizza 🍕… and the great news for us is we’ve just moved into the Gibbston… 5 minutes away ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

K.We had an exceptional stay at Kinross. Every detail of our stay was carefully considered, and we especially liked the communication from the team. On the lead up to our stay they helped us organize tickets to an event, a dip in the hot tub, and upon arrival we were greeted with a personalized welcome letter. What a lovely touch!
By the second day we were already familiar with most of the small team, and they were genuinely interested in how we were doing, and if everything was satisfactory. It really felt like we were being welcomed to their home.
J.Gosh - this was the best experience. Florian was so knowledgeable about the wines and created an intimate wine tasting. We tried 5 wines and ended up buying a couple of bottles.
Loved the boutique style approach. Better than other wineries we tried in Queenstown.
p.Amazing stay here at Kinross! Would definitely recommend. The place itself is gorgeous and has very helpful staff. We stayed in one of the cottages and had dinner at the bistro. Kate arranged for us a restful stay in one of the superb cottages located among vineyard and garden.
The Bistro chef cooked us the best breakfast of all our stay in Queenstown.
Oh and Ancy the evening waitress was delightful.
I would highly recommend visiting Kinross to stay in one of the cottages or a least go there for meal, wine and relaxed ambience.
S.We got recommended Kinross by some friends so we decided to stay a night during our trip and all we could keep saying was “wow this place is amazing”! The room was fantastic - clean, cosy and fantastic views. Wine tasting was a lot of fun and got introduced to some really nice new drops that I’ll be ordering! Dinner and breakfast in the bistro was delicious - outstanding food. Great service from all staff during our stay. We couldn’t recommend Kinross highly enough - we will most definitely be coming back.
N.We’ve stayed here twice now, and no doubt will many more times. A big shout out to the Kinross team for outstanding service. Both times they’ve really gone above and beyond, and everyone is has been so friendly. Of course, the wine is outstanding too, as is the food at the bistro.
Cottages are well appointed and beds are very comfortable. Nice to see the bathrooms were redone since our last visit too! Only thing that might be nice would be a bit more soundproofing between the two rooms in each cottage.
No doubt will be our go-to accomodation choice for Central from here on out! Such a great spot!

P.We went here on Monday the 7th Sept. We had a lovely time and spent many hours here (more than planned). Wine tasting was awesome with lots of different varieties of boutique wines from around the region. We decided to stay for food. Food was so tasty. Staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Loved the open fire and ambience. Thank you for the nice experience.
A.Amazing. Incredible. Stunning. Words are missing to describe this vineyard. Food is absolutely incredible (we ate here 3 times), the lodges are super comfy, with amazing view on the vineyard. The last word will be for Ancy, who made absolutely everything to make our stay and food perfect.

N.Excellent service and great tasting experience that was tailored to my palate and exploring new flavours at the same time. It was coupled with learning about the history and grapes of the region. The bistro offered excellent food and similarly great service. Strongly recommend to visit.
V.Amazing...the food was delicious, you could see the love that went into it from the way it was presented to you, and the suggestion wine complimented it well. The staff were fantastic, the live music from Neil was incredible amazing atmosphere....

P.One of my best experience during my 2-week trip in New Zealand! The vineyard is perfectly located in the middle of the valley, and gives the chance to spend a night in a private charming cottage overlooking the vines. There is also a restaurant, available for breakfast, lunch and dinner - offering fine food with local products. I had the best breakfast (scrambled eggs with bacon and spinach) in my entire stay ! This experience has especially exceeded my expectations with the wine tasting done by Florian, who carefully chose a few bottles from the area and gave us a passionate detailed story of the wine makers - which gave a unique experience to understand not only the wine flavours but the wine itself from the wine maker perspective. After the tasting, he also took some time to explain the different wines of the region and guide me to order local wines to be shipped to Singapore. I highly recommend the wine tasting, and would definitely come back in the future !

G.Absolutely lovely food in beautiful surrounds. A shared platter went down a treat. A good variety of both indoor and outdoor seating options.
R.This place was a gem. We stopped by the restaurant first for an appetizer and coffees - the fried cheese sticks were unbelievable. Then, the wine tasting was delicious. They have wines from several vineyards, which allows you to taste several growers that you might like. We ended up with several bottles and liked both of the gentlemen who did the tastings.
B.We did not stay at the accommodation, but did taste some wines and had lunch, seeking one wine, in particular following a local recommendation. This is not just one winery/label, but represents a number of labels, so is a good place to get a broad taste and representation.
The gentleman taking us through the testing was willing to stray a little from the tasting plan to suit what we were seeking. We have one in the cellar for a few years.
For lunch, along with a matching wine, we had some pizza and pasta. They say it is bistro-style, but that does not do it justice. The pasta and pizza were great, and a good size. The whole family enjoyed the meal. It was also out very quickly.
M.Very classy place we loved it here. Staff so friendly, they gave us that wonderful country hospitality. Such a nice touch too to put on some wine tasting for the guests before dinner. Room and bed were super comfortable. Vineyard perfect for great pics. And they have table and chairs from the actual lord of the rings set, how cool is that (and i haven't even seen the movie :-)). Oh and the ducks...there are four ducks (all boys) that followed us around the property, they were awesome too.
R.We recently spent 3 nights at Kinross Cottages and it was perfect! The cottages are lovely, spacious and well equipped. Breakfast each morning in the Bistro was really nice! It's an easy drive to Queenstown and surrounding towns. We enjoyed staying in the winery setting which is just beautiful.
H.What can you say, its a magical setting. The staff were very friendly and super helpful. Had access to explore the lovely gardens, vineyard and our son enjoyed feeding the ducks. The views are spectacular and the star gazing from the hot tub, which was amazing after a day skiing. The cottage was comfortably furnished and very cozy. The kitchen was very well equipped. The food, wine and coffee were amazing. We can't wait to go back next year and stay for a longer stay at this property again with our family.
G.This place was nothing less than amazing. Check in was easy, the staff were super warm and friendly and lets just say it was the perfect way to end our trip. The accommodation was gorgeous, clean and made you feel at home. The morning view was just as beautiful as the sun set during the night as we enjoyed some beautiful wines.
May I add the food... probably the best smoked salmon I have ever tasted. We can’t fault this place other than the fact we wish we stayed longer!
N.Kinross is a fantastic vineyard - great ambiance and wine selection. This review is primarily for James, a wine advisor at Kinross. If he helps you during your visit - consider yourself lucky - he is knowledgeable - in a non-pretentious way, helpful - takes the time to get to know you and your taste in wine, and friendly. He shared some of his favorite wines with us as part of our tasting and we walked away with 2 lovely bottles. Thanks for the outstanding service!
K.Gorgeous little corner of this beautiful region. The grounds are well kept, the cottages are clean, well appointed and comfortable (especially the bed!). Loved the residents-only wine tasting, friendly staff and the food was great too. Stay here and spend the day cycling from vineyard to vineyard. Absolute heaven!

K.My spouse and I LOVED our first night at Kinross, so much so that after travelling around the south island for a few days, we decided to return to the cottages for our final three nights. We enjoyed mountain biking and rock climbing in Queenstown, trail running in Arrowtown, and hiking in Wanaka- and then getting to return to our favorite launching pad of the Kinross Vineyard. The complimentary breakfast is impressive, and the staff was super accommodating regarding vegan options. We loved being able to lounge on our porch overlooking the vineyards and foothills, play petanque with a glass of wine in hand, and watch the inquisitive ducks before going to bed each night. The wine tastings at 6 PM are informative but relaxed. The staff was so kind and friendly. The hot tub was having a bit of trouble during our stay, which was a bummer, but they had a gentlemen working on it for two days until it and it was fixed just before we departed, but future guests should be able to enjoy this amenity. We would absolutely recommend Kinross to anyone visiting the south island!
D.Was here for an amazing wedding and it was perfect. The rooms are awesome, clean, modern/rustic, open and bright. Very comfortable accommodations and beautiful grounds. Favorite wine was the Kinross liquid gold. Also loved the pack of resident ducks that always wanted to be a part of whatever activity was going on. Can’t recommend the place enough! Thanks to the Kinross folks.
M.Amazing spot! We planned our honeymoon on the go and decided to spend our first two nights in Queenstown here - great area if you're into wine and close to Remarks for a ski. The team at Kinross were so welcoming and made us feel at home - rooms very clean and homey with lots of character and the comfiest couches. Highly recommend this place!
H.I had the three courses with wine pairings - salmon sashimi, mushrooms, and a bread and butter pudding. After my first course I was absolutely blown away, both chef and sommelier had knocked it out of the park. Sadly after that the sommelier faltered, the chef however did not. My main and dessert were both absolutely outstanding, it has been a very long time since I have been blown away by my food but I could not find anything to falter in these dishes. I would recommend dining here to anyone visiting the area as a must-do. My only regret is coming here on my last night and not being able to eat here more than once.
S.Thank you so much to Katie and the team, we had an amazing time. As mentioned in other reviews the staff are amazing and make you feel very welcomed. Our son loved helping with the fire in the mornings and was made to feel very special especially on his Birthday that he had there. Grounds are beautiful, rooms are clean and well decorated. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and always waved to us when we saw them. All and all a nice experience and we were very pleased to have stayed the whole 10 days of our holiday.
J.This is a good find to spend a night here en route to Frank Josef after. it's our first time staying in a cottage / winery and it's an interesting experience embracing the gorgeous scenery right outside our doorstep. Will highly recommend giving this a good consideration if you want a different vibe compared to the airbnbs and hotels of the world.
Outside of that, the only negative is there are probably way too many trainees so experience in and out of Kinross has been kind of mixed and inconsistent, and you can't really wander out at night because of flies and insects 😁 since this is literally out in the open.
J.The best stay I had during my 2 weeks in nz. The cottage is stylish, spacious, comfortable and super clean. The vineyard is lovely and view is amazing , complimentary breakfast is very tasty (don’t miss ) and wine tasting is very good too. Staff are very helpful , friendly and very welcoming.Do need a car to stay there to get around as about 20 mins from QT . I will highly recommend this accommodation and will come back again! Office is not 24 hrs but do have late-check in pre-arrangment , just let them know ahead.

Thanks to them we tasted and learned more than we could have hoped to. Lovely outdoor patio area to relax in as well as a cosy inside space with an intimate tasting room and warm fireplace.

K.The staff were all so lovely, the food was a bit slow to arrive considering there was only 1 other group in there at the same time. The prawn fettuccine was very bland when we told the staff they went away and got some parmesan cheese to add flavour, the veggie stack was good and the prosciutto pizza was just ok, all the pizzas seemed very plain considering the price.

B.Lovely cottage-style accommodation in the Gibbston Valley area. They have a great selection of some truly amazing Otago wines available for tasting. I recommend the Coal Pit Tiwha! The owners, Lizzie and Adam, are very warm and welcoming to everyone. The kitchen also puts out some delicious food which has something to offer for everybody!
