I have stayed here twice in the past 6 months and enjoyed both stays in the renovated rooms. The rooms are very clean, and nicely set out, love the big spa baths which is the main reason I really enjoy it here. However the first time I stayed I showed up a little earlier then check in time to see if I was able to check in, the guy was really nice and let me know that the room won’t be available due to a lot of check outs that day due to a event the day before. He then went to check when with cleaning staff to see how long until my room would be ready which I really appreciated I told me to come back at a certain time and it would definitely be ready. I then came back at the time he told me and was met with a lady on the desk I went in and she looked at me like I didn’t belong there, stared at me for at least 5-10 seconds after I said hello and gave her my information and started to act like I was dumb and couldn’t understand her…. And I said that the guy I had just seen there told me to come back at this time and she then started acting rude to me. Front desk really need to up their customer service.

Very lovely resort. Not quite international resort level service but staff are friendly nonetheless. A couple of maintenance issues in the new luxury spa studio we stayed in which could not be fixed during our stay. That was a bit disappointing. We got complimentary late checkout though which was nice. The room itself was quite incredible. Gorgeous mahogany furniture; good kitchenette; amazing bathroom with a giant spa bath! The pool is warm and lovely. The mini golf is a nice activity. Lots of cool facilities. Would definitely come back.

Hi everyone. We stayed there for 3 days. The room was amazing, new, tidy, and just 10/10(especially the bathroom) Freshly built complex and you can see it. That was only positive for us. I don't know what happened with your stuff guys but all of them look soo tired and don't really care about customer service. Don't get me wrong they were helpful at some stage but mostly if you come to reception you feel like you disturbing there break. 1. Noone told us about the cleaning process(3 days no cleaning at all, apparently because of level 2. However, no one said anything, and when we came and ask for it duty manager wasn't even saying sorry. It took 2 times to walk down to reception to get a bedsheet so we can replace it by ourselves. 2. Everything is locked (sauna, gym etc.) You need to go to reception and ask for the key and return it. 3. The sauna is awful...(5 stars hotel). If you use water and put it on stones it is hot for about 3 mins and later on you can feel the wind going thru and the sauna is cold!! The worst sauna experience ever. 4. They have a nice Samsung 55" tv but if you want to use smart TV you need to go to reception AGAIN to get a remote..(remind you 5-star hotel). So I would say if you expecting a 5-star hotel experience don't go to the Regal Hotel, however, if you more about good rooms but not the service or facilities go for it.

Plenty of things to do. Tennis, mini-golf and swimming. The rooms are nice and big.

My family's first official holiday and this accommodation is perfect. The room we booked had full kitchen and a separate lounge. We (esp Master 3) loved the outdoor heated (at 33 degrees C!) swimming pool. The pool is divided into adults and kids (0.6m depth) - really perfect. Then there's the playground and mini golf area that are next to the bbq area, what more can you ask for? Service is great, check in and check out were a breeze. It is next to a rose garden, which even non-gardeners would appreciate - great for a picnic setting. This is also short distance to the town centre and Skyline Gondola/Luge. Highly recommended especially to those with kids :)

We were totally flawed by the amazing new renovations completed. We wanted for nothing! Rooms have been done to such a high standard and all the little extras really made it so much better! Spa bath is incredible, pool was lovely, kids enjoyed every minute we didn’t want to leave! Had the best restaurant service we have ever had from Finesse at Matai, he went above and beyond and we were so impressed by him, he is such an asset! Many thanks team, can’t wait to come back!!

We stayed in 2 bedroom suite family of 5. Room was clean and spacious. Wow factor for me was the massive hot tub Oooolalala. Kids spent most of their time in the heated pool. Morning swim was the best as soon as covers was lifted kids were in there. As family we played mini golf, bike riding around the area. There was nothing to fault with this place. To Paul & Carole and the whole of Regal Palm team thank you all for making our family getaway such a enjoyable stay. We will be back for sure.

Great place to stay with families. Tennis court, swimming pool, mini golf and table tennis to keep everyone entertained. The apartment we stayed in was clean and modern with a huge spa bath in the bathroom. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Meals at the Matai restaurant were superb as we were celebrating a special occassion. We would definitely be staying again next time we are in Rotorua.

Great room for the family with a giant hot tub. Good size and quality furnishings, but the bed was on the very firm side. Kids loved the hot pool, mini golf and table tennis. We’d definitely stay again.

Loved our stay at Regal Palms. Check in was super easy, staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and overall the resort is so well thought out. We spent most of our day out and about so it was awesome to come back to a freshly made bed, hot tub and heatpump 😁 there also seemed to be a few great activities for kids I saw such as the mini golf and table tennis.

Suite 49 Wow people this room in this hotel is just amazing. Clean tidy and huge . Outdoor private seating Californian king bed and loads of amenities. Stunning bathroom and OMG you have to see the size of the spa bath . This room has everything you can possibly need infact the only thing this room dosnt have is a dishwasher lol. There is swimming pool a gym tennis courts and even mini golf ! The over all quality is perfection. Incredibly friendly welcome ! And you are givin loads of information upon arrival . Parking spots are huge and it has proper air conditioning. I can't wait to try the restaurant. I wish I could give this a 6 star rating ! Absolutely stunning ! If you are looking for a first impression place then this is the place to be. Top quality service amazing facilitys and there apartments are amazing me and my family will deffinately be back. Its like a home away from home. They have everything for you and your family. Pools are so nice and warm you can have a dip in the cold or warm so amazing. Also so many things to do that the hotel offers. Amazing things to do with your children so they are not bored. Free bike rides, tennis, table tennis and golf. Love love love. Stayed one night here. Didn't try out all the facilities such as the pool and mini golf etc but they look good. Spa bath in own unit which was a treat. There is a restaurant attached to the resort but I didn't dine there. Everything was fine and would love to return again.

Very friendly and helpful hosts. The place had a weird but great holiday park vibe with the pool and mini putt but was still quiet at night. The room was spacious with a huge modern bathroom and the bed was by far the most comfortable I've ever had in any hotel. Terrific place, would definitely stay again.

I didn't want to give you a single star. I meant to give 5!! I thought we hit each star to the fifth!! So very sorry. I don't usually write reviews but had been so impressed-then blew it! I have no issues with Regal Palms and actually can't say enough how wonderful the staff were, especially management,- as our car broke down and they went above and beyond with helpful advice and actions. This is a lovely resort, excellent cleanliness, friendly staff and well located. The beds, facilities, pools etc were excellent. I'd hoped my original review hadn't gone through but seeing it I felt the need to respond as we appreciated so much what you did to get us (finally) on our way home. Thank you again. A definite 5 star.

Purely mediocre type of hotel. The staff was nice when checking in, and the rooms were big. Heated floors in the bathroom, and a huge jet pool whirl tub may be the highlight, as well as private backyard patio area. It is close to downtown Rotorua, within 10 minute drive. I'd stay at another hotel closer to the downtown of Rotorua, but this certainly isn't a bad hotel. It's got a good location and the rooms were well kept/nice. This would be a fun hotel with a family of children, as they offer a pool and mini golf.

Central pool & spa discreetly screened alongside mini golf within motel compound, as well as a tennis court, gym, bicycles for guests to use, quintessential movie selections to cater to little people and laundry. Rooms eco-friendly, clean and airy. Large spa bath and large shower. Good quality beds. Ground levels have their own private courtyard. Well thought out space that keeps guests' privacy intact as much or as little as desired. Feels safe. Makes a great work base. Staff discreet, friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

These guys have thought of everything and cater for everyone. Excellent, clean suite with all the extras. Includes lovely spa pool in big bathroom with bifold window onto private courtyard, underfloor heating in bathroom, heatpump and wall heater, towelling robes, very well-equipped kitchenette, large comfy bed and the list goes on. Late check-out available. Top class Matai restaurant and bar on site offering fine dining for lunch, dinner and buffet breakfast (room service available). Mini golf course, table tennis and outdoor heated swimming pool on site as well as spa treatment studio. All at reasonable prices. Look no further. This is our new go-to place in Rotorua which we highly recommend to all. Support our local economy.

Upon arrival staff were friendly and helpful. The room was well kept and had everything we needed. The mini bar was even reasonably priced. The only let down was the breakfast. I ordered the continental breakfast and it was below satisfactory. The pancake stack came with bacon (weird) which made the pancakes taste like bacon. The bacon itself was rubbery and tasteless. The amenities were great, the gym had everything you needed, however didn't have aircon- only a fan. A minor gripe in the scheme of things. The spa bath in the room was a great touch and it was lovely to sit in the bath and relax with a glass of bubbly. The beds were super comfortable and spacious. despite the few minor flaws (namely the breakfast) I would stay here again, however would likely eat out in town.

We were only here for one night, but it was a great stay. We felt like kids again playing mini-golf, going to the tennis court, borrowing a DVD, having a hot tub in the room! Incredibly comfy bed and amenities to take care of every need. Staff were friendly and helpful.

All the staff we dealt with were lovely. The hotel is in a very convenient location and we were able to walk to our Maori experience and the geysers easily. The room we had was large with standard furnishings. We would highly recommend this motel to any travellers looking for that something a bit special.

The room was nice, comfortable bed, large bathroom with a giant tub. There were some nice amenities like the mini golf course and a bunch of movies you could take for the evening for free. This part of the city seemed to have a stronger rotten egg smell than the rest of the city. We also did a spa treatment that was ok, but not great.

The location is excellent and the palms has excellent additional facilities. We were given our key in a nice basket ***** with cartons of milk and biscuits. Hubby had pancakes and I had fruit and a bagel which was so appealing hubby was jealous. Great service and would highly recommend for anyone travelling with children.

5Oct18 Regal Palms is easily found on the main road southern approach into Rotorua. Very safe accommodation with, if necessary, adjoining rooms connected internally by a lockable, secure, door. Superbly comfortable mattresses and beds. Very good showers and toilets. Good hot water pool and BBQ area. Well worth booking.

Amazing. At first, I thought we'd got the wrong place, this is so not what I'm used to, but we managed to fit in just fine. Can't think of anything it lacked. Our spabath was big enough to give the car a bath. Two TV's, well appointed kitchen with specialty coffees, super comfortable beds. A salubrious stay but not embarrassingly so.

Room family suite has everything you need for a long or short stay. Rooms are spacious each with its own spa bath to rest a weary travellers bones. Close enough to town. The room was quite nice. The breakfasts which were bought to the room were of a high standard.

Not in a scenic area. The room was quiet. Having said that, the hotel is at the more upmarket end of the street. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and let us keep our wedding cake in their fridge. It's hard to find service like that these days.

I agree with others that this is not a true 5 star resort but has a great pool, nice spa pool in the room and is clean and comfortable. In my view the prices are high but not unreasonable. Fenton Street is hotel alley and theives know about the opportunities there but the units are secure and there are signs warning visitors to be security conscious.

I love it here !! We stayed here on our honeymoon and my mother inlaw decorated our room in some kind of poupouri :/ anywho it was everywhere , the bathroom slightly stained from it and I left a note in the room to say I will be getting strong cleaning products to remove , I returned that after noon to a note back saying we've taken care of it , thanks heaps :/ I felt so bad but the staff was so lovely !!

I love this place!!! I've been coming here since it first opened ... way back in the early 2000s. It's the only place I'll stay in Rotorua. The staff are always so very helpful and friendly. The units are absolutely spotlessly clean warm and inviting; and there's heaps of things to do for families with children (barbeque area, warm swimming pool, mini-golf and tennis court on the grounds), or as a romantic getaway for couples I totally love it and would highly recommend it as a place to stay in Rotorua.

Lovely place to stay, especially with kids. Beautiful well cared for rooms and amenities, friendly staff, what more could you ask for! We would love to come back :)

The location lets it down, in my opinion. Traffic was next to nothing. A nice personal touch when you check-in is that you get a little basket containing milk and cookies with your room key. We were allowed a late checkout on sunday for no extra cost which was greatly appreciated.

Lovely place to stay if your going with family, especially with kids. There are a wide range of amenities available for free like swimming pool, gym, tennis, mini golf, two barbeque stations that you are free to use. They also have a huge collection of DVDs that you can borrow and watch in your room and bikes if you want to go for a ride. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. We stayed in the two room apartment, the kitchenette had all the essentials except for kitchen scissors. The bathroom had a gorgeous jacuzzi pool that could fit a dozen. :P however the location is next to a geyser because of which it always smells of sulphur (read rotten eggs) . Also the hotel is centrally located, so very easy to get around rotorua. :)

Room was clean, neat and tidy. The rooms seem to be well sound proofed and were set back off the road. The staff is very friendly and helpful at the same time. We've always found this place to be a great stress free and restful stay when in Rotorua.

I have stayed numerous times at Regal Palms and have decided that they are my favourite hotel in Rotorua and I have stayed at a few. Large spread out complex but very quiet. We had unit 18, a ground floor studio unit close to the road but there was no road noise in the room with the windows shut.

Regal Palms is a very pleasant place to stay. Whole place was clean. Great ***agement style provided by Glen, who gave us a great deal and hosted us in a personable yet unobtrusive ***ner. The hotel, like ***y in Rotorua, is a short drive from downtown ***** a strip of hotels/motels. What value for money.

We were very happy with our stay at the Regal Palms Did write a private email to thank our hosts. Not far to the city centre although far enough away to be quiet and Te Puia just down the road. Private garden courtyard off the master bedroom was an unexpected bonus.

OTHER —Free wifi. —So much to do on the property including spa services, miniature golf, swimming, tennis and more. —Walking/running in the area is safe and has many options.

The room selection suite here can also have an outdoor small yard where you can smoke. There is also an outdoor swimming pool in the center of the hotel. There are several golf driving ranges in the vicinity of the pool. You can take your kids for a while.

Because I had a lot of luggage in long-term trip, I thought that I booked a large room but I booked it, but only the bathroom was wasted and large, and the room was awkward in the place to spread the load. If you try to put the ingredients in the refrigerator with a kitchenette, there will be a lot of paid drinks and it will be hard for you to finish your own work. Although it was written that there was a dishwasher, it was not. It was written that it was outdoor hot pool year-round, so I thought that I could enjoy the pool even in May, but the pool is very narrow and I can not feel like entering at a water temperature of 33 °. (The other hot pool was 38 °) wifi can not be used too late because it can connect only one in the room. It is disappointing. 朝到着したので、荷物を預かってもらっていたのですが、チェックインの際はとても迅速で、部屋にすでに荷物が運んでありました。部屋は、とても綺麗で清潔でした。朝食が素晴らしいです。

朝食はよかったです。部屋の内装はまあまあでした。周囲はとても便利な所です。従業員の訓練が良くできているという印象でした。
