Prompt, professional and knowledgeable. I wanted a 1996 cassette tape of a limited release digitised and Briar reviewed the recording, advised on the best means of capturing the digitised content, and delivered a better result than I thought possible! Briar is skilled and quick to process, she also is very kind with her time to help facilitate the transfer of photos.

Briar is very skilled and creative. She took great care to create digital copies of a number of my very old mini-tapes, edit out all of the blue sky and shoe scenes and was a great communicator throughout the process. I now have fantastic memories of my children and key events at my fingertips! I've already recommended Words and Designs to a number of my friends.

Briar did an amazing job of reproducing a very special photo of my grandmother. My mum found the original recently and it was scratched and damaged in parts. Briar explained what her process would be and how long it would take. She made changes that I suggested and the end result was incredible. I can't wait to give it to my mum for a surprise Christmas present. Very happy. :-)

This was my first foray into self-publishing, and as such came to it with the uncertainties of a tyro with respect to process and outcome. To name a few, what was involved, how would the working relationship pan out, how would things be coordinated with the editor/designer and printer, and how would the shipping process be best handled, since the order had to be shipped to the US from New Zealand? The entire experience with Briar has been superlative and I am delighted with the result. Her experience, skill, efficiency, and constructive suggestions are much appreciated, as are her observations related to many little, yet important, details like lettering, choice of color, presenting large genealogical charts and handling the somewhat challenging cover content. And last but not least, her promptness in responding to my emails and delivering the finished product deserves appropriate plaudits. I would unhesitatingly call on Briar when it comes time for my next book.

Briar gave me wonderful support & encouragement while I was writing my first book. She helped me enormously with the editing process by patiently guiding me but not overriding me. She was excellent at helping me eliminate unnecessary words. She has an excellent eye for a great look & together we produced a great looking book. When I decided I also wanted to sell my book as a kindle version on Amazon, Briar had the book formatted and loaded in a couple of days. Vinyl to CD (with art): It is clear that Briar is not only good at what she does, but that she takes pride in meeting the wishes of the client with good quality results. She took very good care of an old and rare LP that I provided her, and in a short time created digital copies of very high quality that had no discernible ‘hiss’ at all. She even gave me suggestions on which audio settings would be best to bring out the best quality during playback.

I started a new business over a year ago called "Greenleaf Studio". I took a few hand-drawn logo design ideas to Briar and from my sketches she created a beautiful full-colour logo for my business. Briar knew exactly what I wanted and she helped me choose colours that had a NZ feel. Briar supplied me with different formats so I could use my logo for printing and on-line. This was made available to me on a t-stick and also via email. I have had so many positive comments about my logo. Thanks so much Briar! I highly recommend this lovely lady.

Book: Briar oversaw the publishing of an artistically-designed family history book of 327 pages with end notes, a bibliography and an index. This included full book design, chapter motifs, and detailed maps and complex genealogy charts which she redrew from rough sketches. Interspersed throughout the text were about 200 photos, some of which were very old and needed enhancing. A superb, colourful cover, designed from composite photos, completed the book. We were all very happy with the finished product. Briar consulted us at every stage of the production and we were glad to take her helpful advice from her years of experience. Photo restoration Briar beautifully restored 45-year-old portrait photos of each of my siblings. I have just picked up a photograph of some 80 years old. It was damaged and Briar has done an amazing job in restoring it. The colours are like original. Poetry book design: Briar's skills and creativity, warmth and humour have served me well for three publications. the taste of nashi is a much-admired work not only for the haiku but also for its original and tasteful layout. Book | Website | videos: The English language website Briar created to showcase my late husband's academic career is wonderful. She also edited and did all layout and design of his English book Earthquakes and Animals, and I was amazed at the uniqueness of the cover design. After my husband's death, it would have been impossible to create the online English version of his children's picture book without her. She also taught me how to create many small web-ready movies from his collection of Japanese research videos, while she produced the English versions. Produced a great cover for a book I wrote Designed and produced a layout for printing. The end result was fantastic. The price was very good, particularly as there was some too-ing and frow-ing over various issues. Turn round time was efficient. Website: I wanted a website created for a project called God in DNA. It presented awkward problems because there was substantial use of Hebrew characters mixed with English. The Hebrew characters are written right to left unlike English, and having them in close proximity was about ten times as difficult as normal. In addition individual Hebrew letters had to be coded for different colours inside long streams of Hebrew characters. Very messy. Briar achieved this and improved greatly the clarity and setting out of the website in other ways as well. Exceptional value for money. Satisfied Client

Briar put together a beautiful videoof my husband, for his funeral, in December last year, it was exceptional, she spent her precious time doing this for me, I had no idea of how achieve the result she came up with, it was seamless, everyone, at the funeral was so impressed with her work, she is a consummate professional, and a charming woman.Wendy Willett
