Kids love the slide!! 🥰 But parents! Please note the closing time for kids pool itself not the general closing time as i have seen kids crying including ours as we didnt check the website properly and followed the google timing 😅🥺 Also would love if they had kids or shorter size toilet for younger ones that are toilet trained.

Awesome public pool, with heaps of toys and water games. Plenty of changing room for singles and families. For accompanying adults, it’s only $1 fee and kids enter free of charge. There is sauna e hot spa for adults. The huge climbing wall is the main attraction, you go up to 3 meters high and dive 3 meters deep! Great place to hide from the strong sun during these hot days.

Awesoem pool for great family fun. Free two hours parking by registering at the Pay machine INSIDE reception area. Clean and very friendly staff and life guards. Way more clean and tidy than Henderson Wave pool. Very warm water so no issues in winter time. Good size slides. Kids are can get Crowdy during busy hours. Spa and full size also available for adults. They also do kids birthday party room hire. Highly recommended.

Take Grandies to swim totally fun and so much to entertain them with the climbing wall the lily pads, slide and water features. Coffees good. I like that the change rooms are private cubicles but also very open and safe.

We take our son for swimming lessons at the Learn to Swim and then always to the play pool after. It is always clean and the lifeguards are very attentive. Great for a fun outing with the kids!

Friendly staff, easy to join up and great selection of swimming areas. I love having a swim and 'water walk' plus there's a gym equipped with good quality, modern equipment. If you fancy a hot drink or something to eat, there's a well stocked little cafe. Great to have everything under one roof 👍

Awsome Pools they cater to everyone young and old. Staff are great, prices are fair, hours are flexible and they also have a gym. They have a separate pool just for those wanting to just do lap swimming, which is what k. Interested in a great workout for the body. Then there is also the big spa pool and sauna. Highly recommend these pools only downside is the parking outside is all metred so adds extra cost, apart from that the place is clean, has lifeguards, variety for kids and adults alike 😀

Very good best sour daugh source in West Akl they go the extra mile. Have been closing reopened for me sold me a bread. Just lovely staff which means owners treat them well. Good to see.

One of my kids go to swimming class once a week, and he just says that he loved swimming around in the water. So one day I decided to walk in! The water was clean and relaxing, plus it was at the right temperature! A good place to go to have a little swim in the mornings.

Many pools... Spa pool is great but can't sit for Long. Very hot inside no air flow here so only can stay in. The pools for a short while Cafe makes great coffee and items to eat.. Great family rooms to get changed even for disabled.

Great pool and great facilities for the kids. The only downfall is how slippery the tiles are. My kid fell backwards and hit his head on the ground. Saw two more kids do the same within the space of 30 minutes. Some non slip Matting all around would help

Great place. My child goes to swim school here and I go to the gym. Great family atmosphere, helpful staff. They have a great selection of weights and machines upstairs. The coffee shop downstairs makes pretty damn food coffee as well ☕

Choice play pool & leisure pool. Always closed though lately although that can’t be avoided I suppose. Lifeguards could lighten up a bit especially around the kids pools, and smile now & again do not to scare everyone. Otherwise if you turn up & it’s open, your going to have a good time, they’ve done a great job of the kids area, thanks.

Great set of pools with so much to do. My small kids love the slides and splash pad, but there are plenty of options for adults too. Good facilities: showers, changing areas, nice little cafe too. Well worth a visit!

Such a great place for kids. Playground with slide in the middle of the pool. If your child is under 4 the entry fee is just $1 for the adult, the child is free! Love this place, my only criticism would be that the kids pool could be 2 degrees warmer. You get cold after 29 mins in the water.

The best public pool experience I've had so far. The facilities were clean and tidy, wheelchair accessible and the staff were friendly too! The spa and sauna is highly recommended. I walked away feeling refreshed and relaxed. 4 stars just due to the fact no drinking directly from the water fountain and no paper cups provided. Also with no signage at the front to let people know this so they could make arrangements (i.e bring a bottle or cup).

Great pool to take the kids to. Has a big shallow pool for the little ones with water sprinklers and a big slide. Everything is very clean and tidy. Nice non slip floors for the kids. Very good large pool also. Clean changing rooms and bathrooms. There is sometimes a line to get in, but it is only to ensure the place is not overcrowded, so in my opinion it's a good thing.

I haven't liked going here in the past because of the staff, however there seems to have been a big shift. It's a lot more relaxed, yes you need to be watching your children if under 11yrs old. It's warm for the winter and there are warm open communal showers, not private. We are going almost everyday due to the fact the kids are free and I'm a $1 spectator.

Clean, easy parking. Pools not that warm for winter. Over charged yesterday & no apology just made it my problem when information given clearly upon request & then to her answers. Some reception Staff could do with customer service training as our overseas visitor was also appalled. Not the first time in receiving a rude reply unfortunately. Coffee shop convenient & also clean & tidy with Grace making the best coffee. Nice small selection for all the family for swim equiptment & apparell if you need an upgrade or forget something.

Love this pool. Price for adults is awesome as you have pool, spa and sauna. The rules seem to change each week though. So kinda gets unpleasant when one week kids are told they can do bombs then next week or another staff member seems you cant

Not just a good place to swim, it's a great place to have kids party! The function room has full kitchen facilities including microwave and a mini fridge. The venue hiring fee is very reasonable (2 hours per session) which can invite up to 25 guests (kids and adults). Kids can spend hours in the leisure pool for water play under adults supervision. Highly recommend.

This is a great pool for younger kids, my not tall 3yr old can touch the bottom in two of the pools. There is a wide slide. For older kids there is a climbing wall (costs extra) and a stepping stone balance bridge across water (with a net above to help balance). Cost is fantastic (free for kids). Beware that all parking is in a paid parking (first two hours free, if you enter number plate into machine).

Great facilities, the lanes pool is a bit shorter than other pools but the pool and water is clean. The adults only time from Mon-Fri 7pm to 9pm is the best option. Have been a frequent user since the pool was completed.

The pool is absolutely fantastic! The kids just love it! It's great for all ages and is very well taken care of. There are always life guards on duty and you are responsible for staying close to your kids. There isn't any ruff housing in the little kids section. There is a slide and play tower switch parents can help their children down. There is swimming lessons as well. The changing rooms are kept clean and very neat and they even provide soap for your hair and body after the swim. And all for a very cheap cost!

Kids and hubby loved it. An awesome place for a family outing. Great coffee. For me personally, for an entirely indoor environment, I felt I needed a lot more fresh air - really battled to breath and felt claustrophobic even though the place is massive.

Great pool! Have brought our now 2 year old here several times as he loves the water and this is the perfect place for him to keep gaining confidence. Plentt of variation in depth and the water slide and fountain structure really excites him. Would be good, considering it is aimed at families, to have more family change rooms. But overall, really impressive!

Love this place! My 4 years old girls favorite place at the mo. Children's play pool area is really cool she never had enough of this place. Its warm inside and their non slippery tiles give me peace of mine while my kids walking around in the play area. Good place to take kids on this rainy weather season!! We just absolutely love this place.

Love this pool complex, so fun for kids Hired birthday room , $150 for a 2 hour slot for 25 guests. We arrived at our allocated time to find other people still in the room from previous party. That was super stressful, a staff member was cleaning around me as I was setting up, trying to talk to me which I didn't need to be honest..I loved the environment but did not like how my guests were talked too in the safety brief or reminded to leave at end of party considering we were inconvenienced on arrival. My rating is based on that experience.

A really lovely facility. They have a really great kids water playground area, along with a rock climbing wall and Lily pads that they kids need to try and get across. The only problem is it is so popular in the holidays you need to get there early to avoid waiting in a very long queue.

There's a very good clean well lit sauna. The spa plenty of room and good strong jets. Pool is good for kids. But there's a child free time for lane swimmers after 5 pm. Changing rooms are private cubicles with lockable doors but I don't like the communal aspect

Fantastic facility. They have a climbing wall where you just drop off into the pool. Excellent little kids area. Just hope theres no code brown when you go as they have to close the whole pool. Each time we have been we have had to queue to get in. You need to check the climbing wall times if you are planning on using it

The best place to take kids for a water fun play. The place was clean. Clean and well maintained toilets and change rooms. Big kids had fun climbing the wall. There's lot of fun stuffs splash pads, water canons and Lily pads too. There's toddler pool with slides and splash pad. For adults there's spa and sauna. The best place for the entire family to visit this summer.

A 2 yr old facility, very new. Quite a lot of family changing rooms, lockers, etc. Monitoring by staff/lifeguards are quite good, especially concern about whether supervising parents are really supervising their kids rather reading or using their mobiles. Highly recommended for families.

One of the best public pools I have ever been to! I love their unisex change rooms and toilets, it makes it so much easier for parents with children. The staff (including the life savers) are friendly and most helpfull. We found the front staff to be very well organized and very professional... even though there was a long Q out the door, they made the time to come outside and explain the rules and regulations to us. We were very happy to wait. Thank you Albany Council - you have done an awesome job in providing us with such a great and long awaited facility. Five star all the way!

A nice variety of activities, including a climbing wall above the dive pool. There's also a splash pad and a great section for the little ones. The water canons are hit with the kids too.

Pretty nice layout, something for everyone from sauna, hot pools, kids play pools and lanes swimming pool. Only small downer is if you are a genuine swimmer it's a little small for lane swimming just 4 lanes 20m. Early or late is your best bet.

Had a great time at the Aqua Deep class. The pool is clean and the place well run. There needs to be many more 7pm sessions not just twice a week. People are getting turned away. The classes are full with 40 people so really needs more. Fun instructor and the spa at the end is welcome.

Very good place for family and friends.

Pools are great for little ones of all ages. Plenty of parking spaces, facility is new and clean. Sauna and spa is available alongside leisure pool where they hold classes and rock climbing. The downsides are that there’s no private shower (a little inconvenient as I prefer to wash the toddler at the pools and not worry about it at home), and when the outside temperature hits 28-30 degrees the leisure pool is closed due to ‘biohazard reasons’. This is why I‘m giving 3 stars instead of 5, Albany pool is supposed to be the newest pool in Auckland and why was it not properly designed for hot summer times? NZ summers been hitting 30 degrees for last couple of years at least and it is hard to believe ‘that the environment is too hot for the staff to work in’. I thought pools were the place-to-go during summer time???????

Well I enjoy the lap pool, when I have been there its not been to busy, the ladies on the desk are extremely helpful, the life guards from what I see do a great job, I would rather them be on there toes telling you not to do certain things than something awful happening , so good job! The spa is just lovely and the communal showers... well it doesn't bother me in the slightest, more than pleased that I can now nip down the road for a swim!

Nice to have a leisure pool on the shore. Aimed at families with young kids. If you have kids off about 8 and below the it will be a fun day out. Young teenagers are not well catered for. There is a climbing wall above the water for them to use but it is the first part closed if they are short of staff.

The pools are a good temperature and there's plenty of fun stuff to keep him entertained and tire him out 😉 my only criticisms would be that the changing rooms are freezing when you get out of the pool! This alone makes me hesitant to come here in winter. The other thing is that the rock wall never seems to be open which is a shame cause it's super awesome!

The spa pool is quite good and they have a huge sauna. The hours aren't very good, i think they shut at 7pm most work days. This swimming pool is geared more for children than adults. There is a climbing wall over part of the pool and a lot of things for kids to play with and climb on. The changing room is a bit different to normal, it's unisex where everyone goes inside a cubicle. There are some electronic lockers and some shelves by the pool. Monday to Friday you have to register your license plate number on the machine in the main foyer for free 2h parking or else risk getting towed.

I have been in the customer service industry for almost 30 years and I am delighted to say the team at Albany Stadium Pool are brilliant. All of the team are warm, welcoming, and professional. At times they have had a lot of pressure to deal with, huge line ups and grumpy, impatient clients - but always manage very well, with grace and a smile on their faces. Excellent team. Well done.

Fantastic setup for young kids (kindergarten and primary age). Lots of equipment to play on and the climbing wall (costs extra) is loads of fun to jump off into the deep pool. Water temperature is a little colder than I would like, but not as cold as some other public pools (Takapuna and Glenfield).

Really awesome pool for toddlers. Can be difficult to find a park sometimes and is popular on rainy days (to the point where they've had to limit entry to one in/one out on a rainy public holiday...) but well worth perservering or going on weekdays if you can.

Really cool place for kids to play. The shallow pools is awesome and spacious. The changing rooms are very weird and exposed to the street. There is very limited space to sit down if you are not swimming. The lockers are overpriced.

Great new complex has paddle pool n splash pool side rock climbing adventure for all. Lanes n spa n sauna/steam room not the biggest comple but perfect for what u need.. unisex change stalls n toilets.. a heap of l Paid lockers

Clean and good place to hang out with the kids. Giving it a 4 star though because of the cafe. Be wary of the cafe food. Make sure you get the food heated as we saw one of the Korean guys (a middle aged man) that works there use the toilet and come out without washing his hands. He then proceeded to handle the food. It was very disgusting to observe.

We go here all the time and enjoy it, however I am disappointed that the swim school takes over the lane pools in the afternoon, nothing for the public even though 2 lanes were not being used. Also going from the pool to the change area is freezing my child has caught a cold 2x from walking through here, it requires heating.

The pools are open again after the debacle with the wiring and they are just as good as ever. I bring my three year old here to play on the slides and the lillypads and I come in the morning to do laps. It's only a 20m pool but it's hardly ever busy first thing. I'm told a Cafe is coming soon.

Dropped in for a barre class, 9am on a Sunday morning & also had a bit of a look around. It's still very new. The group fitness studio we were in had an enormous window looking out from under the sign saying the Leisure Centre's name. Presumably people could also see in. The studio was carpeted and had a slightly odd layout, with a corner in one side so you could wind up unable to see the instructor depending on where you were placed. She was trying unsuccessfully to turn on the aircon and it was kind of like a sauna. Class was good though. The gym part of the leisure centre was smaller than I expected, and I wouldn't go out of my way to work out there when Glenfield has more equipment. Everything is super new and clean though. Pool looks beautiful, and very family friendly with all the built in gear for kids. I'm interested to go back and try out the pool.

Comparing to the other leisure centers, the Albany branch has a nice pool play area for kids and is popular with mothers and children during the day. The gym is basic, and lacks some of the details of the Glenfield branch. The sauna is big but no cold showers and the pools are all warm - big let down.

But otherwise it's just another average ordinary swimming pool/sauna/gym/kids pool/hot pools and an additional rock wall which is new and pretty fun, the place is very modern looking with all sorts of new gadgets and stuff ((Highly recomend)) (swimming pools)

Large and newest public swimming pool. There is an adult pool with swim lanes, toddler pool with water features, children's pool, common pool with a water bridge and a small sauna pool. Watch out for the shower area though - it's open style and shared between all genders. There's also a gym and aerobics area.

I personally didnt like it that much, it doesn't have women and mens bathroom, it doesn't have actuall shower that you can actually shower in, and it doesn't even have a family spa.
