C.We come in this place everytime our kids wants to have a climb and a good sweat. My kids are now 7 and 9 years old. It's great for building confidence and to know their limits. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I just hope there's more parking space.

G.A very good team of instructors, Simon is great! Completely underestimated my expectations, the kids had a blast. My 8 year old told me he’d like to be a rock climbing instructor when he grows up, that’s how much the experience meant.

A.Well worth the extra drive out to Lower Hutt as it is a huge step up from Fergs in town. It has a great variety of walls for all levels of climbers and each wall has harder and easier routes. There are also two self belay walls (good if you're on your own), a kids bouldering room, and a 13+ bouldering room. The staff are very friendly, they know what they're taking about, and they give you a very clear, thorough belaying tutorial which ensures complete safety. This is a great activity.
H.Hangdog continually update the bouldering climbs. The upstairs gym has been upgraded with flooring and equipment. The main room was freshly painted in Feb. Awesome place to climb.

L.Great place to climb indoors. 2 self belay walls quite handy if you’re on your own. Lots of skill levels catered for.
Can get a bit crowded on some evenings but it’s a nice chilled atmosphere. Staff are fab of course!

Z.Favorite climbing gym in Wellington. Always a bunch of new routes and it is extremely well maintained. Don't go late at night, that my gym time stay out. Kidding the more the merrier!

S.If you have little ones and you wanted to introduce them to rock climbing- you have found the spot. We went with our 4y old and 7y old and this was their 1st time trying this out. Brook was just amazing with the kids - teaching them patiently and explained how to get started. All we really took was a bottle of water and wore comfortable cloths - everything else can be hired. It’s a fantastic thing to do if you are visiting Wellington like us with kids/ without. For residents of Wellington - I am envious that you have such an amazing spot. They do loads of programs for kids and adults of all ages. Both my kids were climbing in no time with my 7y old finishing half way up the wall. Thank you for a fantastic time.
7.Great place, people are incredibly friendly with a fantastic facility. As tourists just showing up with no prior experience they showed no displeasure in ‘showing us the ropes’. We had small kids with us who were readily welcomed, given climbing gear and show what to do. Really a place worth visiting.

M.Wonderful atmosphere to climb in. Have a decent selection of things to do so you won't really get bored. Just set a bunch of new climbs. Has a decent training area next to the bouldering room. Had a wonderful experience dealing with the staff. Frank went above and beyond to make us feel safe and taken care of whilst learning to lead climb.
L.Biggest bouldering gym in Wellington as far as I know, affordable and very friendly staff. Good sets of boulder with lots old school crimpy problems, slabs and they are starting to add some modern style boulders. Lots of differents difficulty for beginners to more adepts. Had to stay in Wellington for a few months and was happy to find this place.
A.Went there for a school trip and really enjoyed it! There was heaps to do, with there being the standard ropes, auto belay and no rope walls. Place had a good levels of difficultly ranging from first time to pro. Would definitely recommend!
D.The best climbing wall in Wellington. Plenty of wall space. Lead, top rope and bouldering. Constantly changing routes keep the place interesting. All abilities welcome. Fun. Competitions. Fun. Slack line. Fun. I've been to better climbing walls around the world and this would have been a 4 star review but....
The staff here are knowledgeable, passionate and all round excellent human beings. Friendly, safe and fun.

F.They've dedicated a weirdly large amount of the bouldering space to slab. Route setting is good, nothing too exciting though. Holds are mediocre but I'm used to the European/American standard. All round very good for new Zealand

C.This place is amazing! 4 different bouldering areas, a clip and climb section, and top rope plus lead climbing (plus other stuff! E.g. slack line). The staff here are super nice as well!
M.My experience with this place is great. I go at the off-peak times if I can and avoid the weekends are there is hardly anyone around. Lots of boulder problems which they refresh every few months so you don't get a chance to get bored with the routes.
O.Great variety of climbs, a small bouldering area for beginners, a big bouldering area for more experienced climbers and some Auto belays. Also have a great area upstairs for working out/ climbing training.

R.Best bouldering in Wellington. Friendly, helpful staff. Well organised National Competition over the weekend. Good selection of boulders from easy to hard. Bring kids. And if you like climbing, bring a belayer and some friends. Good place to hang out.
C.I go off-peak bouldering at least twice a week. The staff are friendly, the holds are kept clean and the routes are well maintained and changed regularly. There are 2 large main bouldering areas and a three caves, and the largest of the bouldering areas is kept child-free most of the time.
There is plenty of seated and heated space to rest between climbs and study the problems, and the atmosphere there is extremely friendly and open.
The hire shoes are almost all La Sportiva Tarantulas, which are a top-quality comfortable beginner shoe, and they offer good discounts for members when you come to buy your own from their small, but well-stocked shop.
If I was forced to find any fault, it would be that the climbs are only rated by local difficulty (coloured tape) and not by any internationally recognised grading system.
Best climbing in the Wellington area by a mile.
K.This is a heaps fun thing to do/give a go. Went with 2 kids and 3 adults, would be good to have an extra adult or 2 so 1 can watch the kids and 2 can climb togetger/belei together. They have good specials, and half price vouchers on GrabOne frequently. Some of the staff are excellent and other just polite, highly recommend!

A.Great for real climbers too! Staff very friendly and accomodating, willing to suggest climbs of a suitable level that you might enjoy. Interesting and varied routes which appear to be changed on a regular basis. Children are also well provided for with a range of exciting activities including rope climbing. The wall space is cleverly used so whilst this isn't a really huge gym, it certainly uses its space cunningly. Initial belay supervision was calm, friendly and safe. The very best thing was the gym's obvious commitment to stocking a huge range of climbing shoe sizes. This means that you can try as many pairs and sizes until you buy the perfect pair! LEGEND.
P.Took 8 year old grandson wow I had no idea how skilled he was in ruck climbing and free swinging ladders up he went. Brought home a monkey. Excellent workout for him and a fantastic confidence building sport. And it's indoors for winter.

I.I go to a few of their clubs, and they are awesome! It's a super cool place to climb, and it hosts birthday parties and other things too. Overall, it's great!
N.Very different to Fergs. Both good for different reasons. Less reachy climbing. Good for shorties like me but not so many naturals. 2 auto belays & fantastic bouldering areas. Nice vibe & feel. Climbing is all they do :)
