We love this place. Great waves every 20minutes or so, big slide and also a small playground with slides for little ones that bigger kids can enjoy also. Dedicated small pools for babies and toddlers and swimmers and a big wave pool. When the waves are not on they put inflatables to use just for fun free of charge. Clean and tidy and they have a centrifuge for your wet stuff. They have a sauna and steam also a hot pool only for adults - that is an additional $5 as I remember. Great place with kids or without them.

Great facility & they make it so easy to run competitions at. Wish there was more pool side space for our larger competitions but we make it work. Discovered that they have a swimwear dryer on the way into the change rooms. Very cool concept.

Had a fantastic time with inlaws and their family. Lockers cost $2.00 if you need to get stuff it cost another $2.00 to close it up. Seems ok to leave stuff on the chairs. It is a risk.

We went there for a kids birthday party. It was really good. We had the pirate ship and the kids got to walk the plank and there was 2 young girls looking after the kids in the water too.

I go to Baywave for a swimming lesson and stay for an aqua exercise class every Tuesday. This gives me the chance to enjoy their other facilities such as spa pool, sauna and steam room. They keep the bathrooms clean which is much appreciated so a very good deal all round

Had so much fun at Baywave with our 6 year old grandson. 5 hours of entertainment in the pool and on the slide, various pools to choose from all fill off very happy children. The 2 days spent here never saw one upset child or parent bliss! There’s a massive spa too. Food available at the cafe - meat, salad paninis, savouries, cakes and drinks. Definitely going back here!

Baywave is great fun for old and young, from sporty to only recreational users. The 25m pool is one of the fastest pools in the country and is great to train for fitness and sport events. The wave pool is great for kids of all ages. The pirate themed play tower is awesome fun for kids of all ages.

Awesome after school and weekend activity for Families. Facilities are clean and plenty of life guards means everyone is well looked after. Private spa, Wave pool, lane pools, Toddler pool with fountain, Hydroslide and splash zone provide something for everyone of all ages.

Baywave Pools and gym centre is a great place to go to. There is a variety of sizes of pools that suit all sizes. The warm water is inviting. The gym great and the cafe has good food and service. There is plenty of parking and easy to get around it.

Baywave has been renovated since we last had swimming lessons there. The water play park is awesome, a great way to occupy the older children while they are waiting in between lessons. The instructors are also amazing- they are patient and encouraging. The class sizes are small so kids can get the attention they need. The changing rooms have also been adapted (screens added where there used to be just bench seats) for better privacy, which also means they are safer for parents to mind restless children! I was very impressed, and my kids didn't want to leave.

Has a pool complex that suits everyone. Affordable prices. Excellent parking. Awesome cafe. Has pools with various water temp to suit everyone. Has a gym. Classes to suit all needs. Has a physio room. All sorts of swimming like lean to swim for children and adults. Hydroslide for fun for all ages. An awesome water play area where children can play and parents can either watch or join in. A deep pool for the keen lane swimmers.

In overall its a nice place. the only problem is that it does get over crowded. Due to the water polo activities you can not swim because the only two lanes available will not support the many people trying to do laps at different speed. Also the Steam room and Sauna has reached the full capacity for a while, more than often you have to be waiting outside to someone leave so you can enter. I will not go into the merits off the competitions that also take place in the pool not allowing people to use it. It is high time that they either stop taking new enrolments or make some reforms to expand the capacity of the place.

Awesome indoor pools to take your kids to swim! It's on the pricey side however, costed me $8 to take my 1 yr old swimming. The water in the showers can run really cold which isn't ideal if you need to give babies, young ones or elderly a wash after swimming.. We still loved it though!

Our kids have been learning how to swim here for a while, great instructors. They love the wave pool. Could be crowded on weekends and holidays. Pray that a kid doesn’t have an accident (nature call) while swimming.

Was great to be back with my 2 and 5 year old. Waves did not come on until 11am due to swim class in main pool, so had to wait a bit. New play station is cool, reminds me of a small version of the Debretts one in Taupo. Was unfortunately much too cold there for both kids although the little one was in a wet suit. Was easy enough to spend an hour there though. Do try the amazing food at the cafe! Very generous portions. Rice salad was to die for!

Can get busy at times, but you can book to remove confusion..We go to Baywave every week for my daughter's preschool swimming lesson. The Swim School there is great, but the best part is I can go in another pool while she is swimming and do some laps myself,

Kids love this place . The only thing I didn't like was the service in the cafe.only one person serving and cooking , making coffee etc . She did an awesome job but had trouble keeping up with a busy cafe . 2-3 people are needed for the cafe

Lovely massage, very relaxing, beautiful rooms. My only moan is when kids are whinging and crying it is a bit disruptive. If you could close the doors in the entrance way as well as the rooms it would be lovely and peaceful.

Lots of fun for the kids. Pools are just the right temperature...cafe for the parents, a hydroslide and pirate ship for the kids...lots of sports activities here. Clean facilities, and friendly staff. You have to pay $2 each time you open your locker though...so be sure when you do open it that you wont be doing that again

A nice venue complete with pools, gym, cafe and plenty of room. The staff are available and helpful. My only complaint would be limited swimming space during swim lessons, (the children are given all the swimming lanes of the main pool, leaving other swimmers to either stand in shallow water or swim in very deep water)

Took the kids for a swim yesterday. It was cold outside and this is an indoor arena with heated pools. It can be quite warm for spectators so come prepared with lots of water and layered clothing. Kids loved it we planned for three hours but they were done in 2. Wish we had taken the skateboards and scooters because they have a park right outside for after. They all went on the hydroslide so that was worth the extra 4.90 per child. The wave pool got the thumbs up too 👍. Kids were between 8 to 12 yrs.

There is a seperate cost if you want to do the water slides aswell as the main pools but overall it's a pretty good day at the pools. The life guards are on the ball and very astute s to why everyone is doing. The only downside today was paid lockers were out of action. Plenty of parking, family locker rooms and disable change rooms .

Great place to take the kids for a swim regardless of the weather. Fully enclosed pools including toddlers pool, spa, wave pool, lane pool and hydroslides. Reasonably priced at $5 for a childs general entry, an extra $5 will get a hydroslide pass as well. Birthday party options and decent seating around the pool. A small cafe is also on site with a selection of food and beverages as no outside food is allowed on the premises.

Great indoor pool facility, great for today whole family. The kids love the wave pool and hydroslide, the large pool is good for laps, and they have learn to swim lessons for all ages. If you are a trustpower customer you get a discount with your TECT card. There is a small cafe and shop for swimwear. And a fitness center upstairs.

My little girl loves this pool! She's only 3 years old but she is always asking to come back. Once we do come back it's hard to make her leave. There's a hot spa, sauna, steam room and a hydra slide I believe. They offer aqua fitness classes and there's even a gym upstairs which is pretty cool too. There's a cafe and a pool side ice cream place too!

I really like this centre. People are so nice, the facilities are clean and there is fun for every one. like 4 different pools, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room. I've been a member for more than a year and I'm happy to continue for a while as is so much to enjoy.

No allowance for own food to be brought in for a party. Area for under 5. Safety 1st when it comes to the waves with an alarm sounding and pre warning very clear speaker system. Great staff on the desk very competant friendly and helpful. Life guards always on form watching intently. Love taking my children there.

We visited with a 5 and 7 year old and the complex seemed well-suited to their needs. Being an indoor swimming complex it is quite a noisy environment for spectators but seems like a great place to go with kids if you’re wanting a few hours out of the sun.

Its a public swimming pool with a rough wave pool that goes at certain times and a slide being upgraded. All indoors. Place for toddlers. I prefer AC Baths in Taupo over this pool or the pool over the road from AC Baths at the holiday camp! They are attractive...and I am not from Taupo.

It’s a really good place, but there is one annoying thing that ALWAYS happens: the showers are cold!!! Take ages to heat up if they do. Waste of water too :/

Large, well maintained and active life guard pool in TGA. One of the best swimming pool in TGA area. For Babies, they have learner pool, and for all ages wave pool is available. Lap pool is also available with clean maintenance. Hydro slide, sauna and stream are awesome with a separate fee. Swimming lessons are available check with reception for the prices. Trustpower customers can utilize 20% discount by presenting TECT card. Plenty of parking spaces with nice cafe.

Best indoor swimming place in tauranga. There is a nice variety of pools and it is definitely a good way to keep the kids entertained as they have a hydroslide, diving platform and sometimes they inflate a little obstacle course, also for the adults they have a spa pool. Along with a lap pool, a learners pool and a baby pool they also have a main pool that has a function to create reular waves. As well as having these pools there is also a daycare, a gym and a cafe.

I have recently joined the gym at baywave club fit and have found the gym equipment modern with ample staff ready to help if you need. There are also many clubfit and les mills classes that you can attend. The gym has two memberships silver which includes main gym and group fit classes or gold membership which includes entry to baywave pool, spa, sauna and steam room. The pool facilities are clean and tidy and fun for families. I would highly recommend.
