B.Roding Valley dam located at the end of Aniseed Valley Road. There is a 15 minutes walk from entrance to reach the dam site. Parking area with a toilet available at entry point of walkway. After Slippery river crossing and 15 minutes trekking will take to to dam site with amazing views. This dam supplies water to nelson from 1941. All the history and trekking routes mentioned on the entrance. Roding Valley dam supplies one third of Nelson city’s annual water needs. Some of the larger items from old copper extraction plant making interesting features for curious walkers.
