Nice fish and chips. A low rating because the fish is always very thin and a bit greasy. Tried the blue cod which was double the price yet it was the same size as the usual fish and a bit greasy as well not worth the money so i wont ever buy the blue cod again.

The staff were friendly and helpful. I had not been there before so was asking about some of the items for sale. They had sold out of blue cod so got Tarakihi (yum) and elephant fish. Chose gourmet burger patty and battered sausage for the second person. They give a guide on how many chips to order which was useful. They said they are going to open on Mondays soon so check the hours.

Stopped here for a bite on our way back south. Chips where perfect. Fish was lovely a nice light and crispy batter. Not greasy and great price. will definitely be coming back here

Best fish burger ever crunchy batter fresh bun perfectly cooked served with a friendly smile and quick service. Our order also included an Hawaiian burger fish and curry rolls all were cooked to perfection. A takeaway I shall certainly revisit when passing thru Tinwald. Good parking for towing vehicles and trucks thanks for the excellent feed.

Normal fish and chips hubby enjoyed!! I had gluten free Blue Cod which I don't think was!! I always buy gf Blue Cod when I have f&c but was disappointed, I am quite an expert!! It wasn't nice white flacky fish!! It was thick and dark!! However I will try again one day!!

I absolutely believe this is the best fish and chip shop in Ashburton/Tinwald Very crispy chips and fish has nice batter. They are a bit pricey compared to others in the same area but hey with prices rising everywhere you need to expect it and I’d rather pay a bit more to be able to enjoy good tasting fish and chips. Love how they do the free goody pack as well. 👌🏻👌🏻

Excellent place for fish & chips! We love this place as it's our local. Great value for money and the fish is always well battered and cooked and the chips are crunchy and yummy. Really friendly staff with free parking outside and a good choice of other food such as hotdogs and cheeseburgers

Stopped here while traveling from Nelson to Timaru,. Got a hotdog, fish & half a scoop & to me they are the fish n chips you eat with no sauce because they are that good, sauce hides bad tasting food,.. almost worth a trip from Nelson just to come here 👍🏻

Really yummy fish and chips and consistently good. Staff are very friendly and we always feel like we have value for money. There is a loyalty programme available as well. Easy to access and they are children friendly.

This is my favourite fish and chip shop in Ashburton I love how the chips are cooked with a hard crisp outside and a soft fluffy inside they always have my favourite fish everything is fresh and taste beautiful especially loves getting fresh raw fish for the smoker or Roe the burgers are delicious and very filling the customer service is great and always willing to help and have a bit of a joke a good place to just stop for a quick meal or to get dinner for a few people highly recommend this fish and chip shop
