The store is well presented but could be cleaner. This place is usually open late nights which helps given the location and bars, clubs around. The burgers are good and reasonably priced in my opinion. Staff members are friendly and customer service is good. Wait time could improve.

My first Bacon Barbeque Roadster for ages. It was almost a religious experience. Fantastic burger, friendly staff and the birthday special was the cherry on top.

Made an effort to visit the Ponsonby store, set in the middle of one of Auckland's busiest and most energetic strips traversing Ponsonby. The burgers were fantastic. The patties were wholesome, gleaming with flavour from the very first bite til the last. The aioli sauce is just heavenly, as always. Tried the Burger Fuel special - thickshake, which wasn't too shabby at all. However felt the service was rather indifferent and aloof. Ordered online for pickup, and despite having to wait an extra 10 minutes for the food to be ready, there didn't seem like any sincere acknowledgement to me as a basic customer, much less the late delivery of the food. Overall Burger Fuel is one of those higher-end burger establishments that's very much "Kiwi". You can tell its founded and run by a bunch of born-and-bred New Zealanders, which definitely is a big plus to me, as you know it's not some migrant labour being exploited to gain residency or some sort. The burgers are definitely worth the premium you pay for, however I've found the service to be sketchy and inconsistent across the many stores I've been to throughout Auckland. I'd probably visit again when I have the chance, just based on the fact you feel a sense of grassroots Kiwi culture associated with the business. However don't have your hopes up for any kind of personal service, unless you belong in their desired demographic.

Burger fuel is awesome. Chunky burgers, kumara fries. Not a fan of the new doofer, I prefer the OG.

Late online order, 15min before closing. Burger Fuel were real busy @ 11.45 on Thursday night but my order was ready on time. All 3 eaters remarked on how good the food was. The Soy Gingerbread Shake was exceptional, put that on the full-time menu please!

Good food served fast My only concern wasn't my meal but the person who ordered ahead of me. Their chicken /fish (couldn't tell by looking) was raw in the middle. They were promptly replaced with a new one for free. Double check what you bite into :)

Really good burger options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. The burgers are huge but they also have "mini" burger options which really aren't that small. Fries and shakes were amazing too. $15-20 for a meal. It took my food 20 Minutes to come out but they gave me free French fries to make up for it- much appreciated!

Much to my dismay, Burger Fuel has gone downhill over the years. I really want to like Burger Fuel, because I used to absolutely love their burgers, but the continuous decline of their ingredient quality and preparation standards keeps me from being as happy as I once was. I keep going back, hoping to have that experience that I did years ago, but it just keeps getting worse. The avocado is a funny "avo-like" sauce now, the patties have gotten thinner, and the standards seem to have dropped. What used to be a constantly busy place with a cult following is now just another somewhat successful burger place. Shame... I really do want to love it. Bring back the burger fuel of 8 years ago and in there in a heartbeat. Otherwise it's hardly different from any of the other mediocre burger joints in Auckland.

I waited over 20 minutes to get one burger. Which when it finally came was cold?😲 not only that but several customers came after me and left with their meals before me. The person serving me was very polite and friendly though. So the fours stars are for him.

Burger Fuel vege burgers are so tasty that I order them even though I am not a vegetarian. Combustion Tofu is silky and crisp, with an addictive peanutty sauce. V8 Vegan has this delicious grated beetroot thing going on. Service is great too. Visit this place almost every second week, great service and atmosphere. My favourite is the Bacon Backfire chicken burger. As burger joints go, this place is not to be missed.

Every time I'm near this store I have to stop in for a burger. They make the best damn burgers I've had. The service is one of my favorite parts too, the staff are genuinely cool people. and that makes a big difference for me. A+++!!

Love Burger Fuel any time of the day but I wouldn't come to this place on a weekend evening/night. The place is overflowing with drunks and as a result the place gets trashed and effectively becomes a pig sty. However, I can imagine the restaurant seeing better days during the rest of the week and is most probably a welcome reprieve for the staff who continued working non-chalantly despite the mayhem and debauchery surrounding them. And for the guy barking out order numbers, surely management can invest in a loudspeaker or a megaphone to save the poor guy's vocal cords.

Food was HOT . They did however forget to put onion in the bbq roadster.but when asked about whether or not onion was ment to be in they immediately took the burger back and remade and came out fresh and hot . Will be going back again

These burgers are never not good! Just a little irritating that they replaced the V-Dub Vege burger with a vegan-only option... Not every vegetarian prefers vegan stuff!
