The food was very nice as far as fish&chips go. The only reason I'm giving the three stars is cost vs what you get. We brought 3 scoops of chips, looked like 2 maybe 2.5. The chicken breast fillet was not worth the $3.70.

To top it off some of our order was missing once we got back home, after a quick phone call all was resolved with the man himself offering to hand deliver the remainder. Had meal at Reg’s last week. Best fish and chips we have had in years. Batter light and tasty, fish delicious. Chips also spot on. Staff very friendly. Would certainly recommend it for a great fish and chip experience!!!

Awesome fish and chips. Generous amounts Fish is very fish and beautifully cooked. I don't normally like prefrozen, but Reg's cook their's to perfection - they are wonderfully crisp. Reg:s cook their F&C's in very hot oil which is always the best - non greasy results.

Locals suggested this Fish n Chip shop a few years ago and we've been going there ever since when we stay in Foxton. It's an alternative to Mr Grumpys. Regs has plenty to pick from on their board, they're well drained so not greasy and you get to chose which flavor salt you'd like.

We went there as they offer gluten free. Unfortunately the batter on the gluten free fish was so hard thick and dry it was inedible. On a positive note the fish that wasn't gluten free was lovely. Batter was perfect. So I'm giving Regs 3 stars.

Regs is our place to go in the weekends, their fish & chips are well cooked with crispy chips & a variety of options for topping eg chicken salt, vinegar, cheesy, loaded to name a only a few. Regs also make fantastic burgers.....gourmet burgers without the inflated pricing. Again a variety of options to please anyone. Reminds me of the old-school kiwi burger flavours...... We will definitely be back......keep up the great food. 😊

Just had fish and chips dropped off to me as staying at the racecourse for a horse show. Great service and even better fish and chips.The fish was really fresh and the chips awesome. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is staying or passing through Foxton.

First time visiting Foxton Beach and first time getting kai from Reg's. Tino pai! Awesome food, fa'afetai tele lava for a beautiful dinner! Based on the (very reasonable) prices we over ordered because we underestimated the portion sizes. I LOVED your chicken and bacon salad - chicken so moist and tasty, great dressing, lotsa salad veggies and overall YUM! My crumbed fish was devine. Hubby's fish and egg burger was bigger than we expected and he says it was VERY NICE! The chips were crispy and plenty. The seafood gourmet fritter was delish too. Great service too! Kia ora and thanks from a happy couple who are very nicely full! :)

Been a year since I reviewed Reg's Takeaways for the Chicken Burger. Went in there today for lunch to see if the burger had changed to my delight there was now a gourmet range of burgers. I happened to order the Gourmet Chicken burger when Reg himself was working on a new Burger for his menu so I opted to give this a try as well. The prototype Burger doesnt have a name as of yet its primary ingredient is a home made wagu beef pattie. This burger gets a 10/10 for presentation as at first sight it has alot of colour varients from the super salad greens red and purples is very pleasing on the eyes. This burger gets a 10/10 for taste as well the bun has been toasted perfectly really nice and crispy. Theres a really good balance of flavour comming through this burger there is a tomato chuckney used instead of a normal tamoato sauce which complements the mayo and super salad. The really nice part about this burger is the Wagu Pattie its creamy smoky flavor breaks through everything and leaves an incredible after taste. Best none commercial burger I have had in the manawatu/horewhenua area this is something you expect to be served in a restaurants. Tried 7 Different Chicken Burgers for lunch over a 7 day period to see who I thought had the best Chicken Burger going in Foxton both for value and quality. This Burger finished #3/7. The Chicken Fillet was a dark brown which I thought was cooked in older oil which I thought would taint the taste at first sight. To my Surprise the Chicken Fillet was cooked perfectly and didn't have a slightly burnt taste through it. The Burger Bun was toasted perfectly a nice little crisp to it. The Salad to Chicken Ratio was perfect. Great Burger would diffidently pay for another one of these.

Yummy food. Especially the fish pie - just how Mum used to make. Where else can one get broccoli and cauliflower with cheese sauce, mashed carrots, roast pumpkin, roast kumara, roast potatoes AND peas & corn - with roast meat and gravy - well, you can at 'Beach Family Takeaways'. Roast nights are Thursdays and Sundays - delicious. Another favourite is the gourmet chicken burger and chips. Thanks Leonie and staff.

Under different owners and no longer Seabreeze Takeaways. Now called Beach Family Takeaways and serves outstanding fish and chips, burgers, meal packs, heat and eat meals and roast night twice a week. Highly recommend eating here should you be in the area.
