The best paua fitter ever and the fish was great. Great service and fast considering the place was very busy. The only thing I would love if the chips were homemade but not many places do this anymore.

Got fish and chips from here as recommended by the host where we were staying. Onion sausages were nice and batter free. I got the Elephant fish which was cooked well with very thin crunchy batter. Good portions. We got our meal and went for a walk along the Kowhai Trail which is close by which takes you through bush and beside the water.

Chips ok, fish ok, chicken satay burger tasted very chemically so I didn’t finish it, chicken patty in it was poor quality too. I’d go again for fish and chips, but wouldn’t recommend burger.

Big portion of chips. But chips a let down. Fish also ok. Onion sausage was best thing. Good value though. All up only $40. Probably the second best place in town. Wished we’d gone to other place.

Great fish and chips from this down-to-earth chippie! Came all wrapped in newspapers just like the old days! Bring cash if you are not from NZ as the EFTPOS terminal will not accept foreign cards.

Great fush n chubs. It's a little dairy/general store, nothing fancy. But they've a fryer, and fresh local fish, good batter. Chips are krinkle cut, but fried perfect. Large servings. Enjoy.
