R.Customer is not always right, but when you have a sign up like this it raises alarm bells. Been in a few times and I get bad vibe wrt service, not to mention the regular times not even open. Most small takeaway store in small town NZ are open until 9pm on Fri Sat, 7:30pm means you are missing out on regulars. Consistent hours means people know your open and come back.
Hoki was ok, chips we're not great, our order # was not called out and so everything had gotten a little soggy.
I kinda avoid, unless I have a craving
3 stars is generous because it is not the worst but not fantastic, Service is lucky dip.
Btw no american hot dogs what!?
J.Hoki was crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside and tasted great! Portion sizes were extremely generous, and service was excellent despite the place being full-on. Curry roll was also great (and was noteworthy for not being too salty as is often the case at other places).
L.I made a large order (over 250$) over the phone and the order was ready within 10 minutes everything was slightly on the greasy side but nonetheless delicious. portion sizes were huge and who would complain about that.
P.First time there, staff awesome. Good prices and food was excellent.

R.There are a couple of spots here in Kerikeri that serve the good old fish an chips. I have tried all. Calypso has to be the best for me. The freshness of products. The batter is on point. Chips are crispy. Prices are affordable. Service is good, they have humour lol. So if it's fish an chips your after, you won't be disappointed

M.Pricey but we enjoyed it. Plain ol' fish n chips + a coupla hot dogs. Crispy batter, decent fish and not too much salt on the chips! Portion sizes weren't disappointing either.

A.We weren't so taken away by it. When we opened the package of fish and chips at home the grease literally dripped from the paper. Chips were OK, fish average but batter to greasy. Go and have some training at Manganui fish shop Calypso people! Proper fish & chips should be crisp and crackling. A bit to learn there!

P.This place is under new management so the earlier reviews don't apply. Went there twice, had fish and chips first time, fish very good, chips OK but need to precook them a bit longer. Second time got steakburgers and a worksburger, good and very good.
P.Tried fish & chips takeaway from Calypso for first time last week. The staff were cheerful and friendly. The fish (snapper) was very tasty and beautifully cooked in light batter. The chips were delicious. Will definitely try again.

Plenty of off street parking also available in parking lots nearby.

At first I wasn't sure if the ladies were going to be able to help me, but they completely surprised me by replacing the burger buns with lettuce...making up a burger that they've never made before!

S.Completely different experience since new ownership in 2017(?). Friendly welcoming customer service, with a side of english humour. Portion size is larger, food quality is greatly improved, would recommend.

A.I host Te Araroa trail walkers and just about every one of them want to eat fish and chips after eating trail food for days on end.
Last night we purchased fish and chips and ate them on the grass near the Stone Store in Kerikeri.
The food was very yummy and the portions generous. So much the seagulls had a feed too. 😊😊
