By far the BEST chicken sandwich in wellington. Me and my friends eat here 2 or 3 times at week. I'm from the States and I thought Chick-fil-A was great until I tried lucky's👌🏻😌, definitely my to go place every time. In the picture -my favorite- the Jackpot with gravy fries, if you like cheese this one is for you.

The poppers is good ..love the sauce and coating on the chicken. Will try the chicken burger next time.

Had many times as we were staying in the hotel nearby. Delicious each time. The spices in the coating of the chicken was very unique and separates itself from other fired chicken places. The special sauce is so good, I prefer getting it on the side of the poppers so you can dip it after every bite. The bomber burger is pretty much perfect with fluffy brioche buns. My only gripe is perhaps the gravy. It's not meat gravy and is a little strange when comparing it to a real gravy. As a sauce though it's quite delicious and sticks to the crinkle cut fries really well.

Took away an early lunch from here today and although we’ve been following these guys on Instagram for ages, this is the first time we’ve tried it and it definitely exceeded expectations! Best fries we’ve had in ages! And delicious popcorn chicken and chicken burger!!!

Delicious and delightful. They focus on a few things and do them well. Their chicken burger is soft and almost moreish, and their fried halloumi burger is a real delight worth trying - the hot honey and special sauce really lift things up a notch!

Good quality food however compared to the other fried chicken options in wellington cbd it's a little limiting in choice, especially if you are after any sort of spiciness look elsewhere. Also a heads up regarding vaccine pass - It was required to get served here which is surprising as it's fully takeaway / has no dine-in options so come prepared

Not a fan of fried chicken but decided to try it as it was recommended by so many people. Got single Bomber for $11 and loved it. The chicken was not greasy, crispy, and very tasty. Five stars from a ‘non-fried-chicken person’ ;). Plus, Vegetarians welcome, as they offer halloumi burger (I think they cook in separate oil).

Wow.. Can you believe it is only 11 dollars ? Chicken was so nicely crispy and quit huge portion. I love it this place! But not recomanded about chips, In the very first time actually I heard that chips was a famous thing in here. So i tried only chips and disappointed for a while and then after I tried one more time (so this time) to buy burger, and it make me regret to I should have tried more earlier in the place.! Try grap a burger!

Amazing, juicy chicken burgers. i love how i get a thigh piece every time. i usually order through Delivereasy but walk-in orders are also great - quick and easy service. just the smell wafting in the air tempts me when im walking down Courtenay Place haha!

Best chicken in Wellington. They've never disappointed! A small menu of perfectly executed food. Can get busy around 5/6pm, and Friday/Saturday nights are always busy, but well worth the wait.

The burgers at Lucky are delicious. Maybe the best in Wellington. My Lord they're good. I'll be going back there soon. I rate the burgers 10 Goldblums out of a possible 10 Goldblums.

quiet nice burger in courtneyplace The chicken likes KFC chicken, but better than that. I am such a huge fan of deep fried chicken, This is truely my favorite chicken burger in Wellington. My order is duble bomber burger, the kowl with lucky secret sauce combination is so goooood. The service is very fast, I will try this for my quick lunch next time. 다음은 팝콘 치킨이다........ 맛있셔........

Best vegetarian burger in a long time. I’m not vegetarian but I choose it over the chicken often times. They need to be a little consistent with the saltiness of the chips since a few of the employees seems to be a little trigger happy but still delicious.

Pretty good chicken!!! Glazed over the menu and didn't realise there was honey in the burger with chicken & halloumi. Not a fan of the sweetness but that's just my personal preference. I will definitely come back and just get the chicken burg!

You might be mistaken in thinking this is the kind of spot people only order from after drinking... But the queues throughout the day should be an indication that Lucky is to burgers what Tommy's is to pizza - which is to say one of Wellington's best in class. Get here now, grab a burger and fries, and don't even think about telling me I'm wrong!

Burger, fries with gravy, poppers = super yum lunch. Worth more visits definitely. If I had one gripe, it would be a tad too much sauce in the burger and popper's. Won't stop me going again.

Overall great fried chicken and burgers. Just felt staff were just going through the motions of being at work so felt food lacked love. Chips were cooked well but would be awesome if you could do a better chip or even something hand cut take it to the next level. Maybe it was just this night so will be back for more good chicken.

If you’re craving fried chicken, forget KFC you need Lucky! The fried chicken burger is to die for. Perfectly crunchy fried chicken patty yet moist and succulent in the middle. The special mayo they use makes me drool just thinking about it.

Doesn't get much better than this, I enjoyed a fried chicken burger made fresh. Honestly one of the rare food joints that are consistent with the food they make. Nice simple menu that is straight to the point, they're also very quick in preparing food without compromising quality. Every burger on that menu is top notch so do try

Fried chicken with magical sauce and gherkins 😍 the single poppers and fries is my go to. Recently however, I discovered the lucky burger. My word. Now THAT ladies and gentlemen, is a burger. Hot dang. It can get quite busy at night so make sure that you go before starvation hits.

Beautiful! This is my go to quick eats place in Wellington. The menu only has about 5 or 6 options but everything on it is so good. My go to are the chicken poppers and fried and gravy, but I also highly recommend the Lucky burger.

Bar none, tastiest chicken burger and possibly any meat burger I've ever had. Hit up the "Breakfast for Dinner" burger with cheese, pickles, bacon and waffle with a side of fries and gravy. Wife had the Bomber and she loved it. Spices and careful crafting of the burgers made it hit the spot with little to no grease. Fried Chicken in all its glory!

Burgers are more than really nice. My boyfriend likes to talk about it with passion, even told me he'll miss Lucky burgers more than me when he's away. He doesn't like the slaw and always requests for them to take it out. I think to savour the goodness of the burger, you have to have everything in it. So I hope the staff forgets to remove the slaw and he can say with even more passion, "Lucky burgers are awesome with veggies in it"

Having taken one bite of my Bomber burger, I knew Lucky was going to be my go-to joint for a delectable & quick feed. The flavour and texture were out the gate; price and speed of service set the bar very high. The name isn't in vain - these guys aren't serving burgers and fries, they're dropping bombs.

Got really excited to find out there's a new burger venue opening across the street. And even more so when everybody started to talk about it. Lucky burger makes a decent chicken burger, but the hype is vastly overrated. We were told to wait 8 minutes, but waited 20+ minutes and $16 for two chicken strips, a bun, a bit of sauce and veggies is simply overpriced, given the venue is just a street kiosk.

Some of Wellingtons best burgers. Fast service if you go at the right time. Otherwise about a 10 minute wait. Recommend getting lucky sauce on chips too, rather than gravy

Got the popcorn chicken and the Bomber Burger. Best chicken I've had in Wellis hands down! Cooked fresh with a light and crispy batter, and the homemade sauce was off the chain. Highly recommended

Busybodies beware, if you are not prepared to wait outside for half an hour to grab some of the best chicken sandwiches in Wellington you're missing out! Admittedly the times I have come here seem to be during peak hours, but I imagine with food this good almost all hours they are open must be peak!

I love the place and the popcorn chicken (~$10) is excellent. Just don't think the loud logo work well next to Tommy millions or gentleman's coffee that are going for a rustic homey kitchen feel. Their branding directions are also more elegant so placing them side by side, Lucky really sticks out like a sore thumb. Thats just my opinion. Still, the chicken is great value for money, super yummy and the menu is specialised on few good items and not a catalogue of confusing dishes so I'm pretty impressed.

Someone recommended this to us so we were blownnnn away with how delish everything on the menu was. Honestly mouthwatering. Didn’t want it to end. Please go national and come to the South Island!!!!!

The chicken poppers are so good and filling it is very hard not to stop everytime I walk past. The combo of pickle and chilli sauce gives the perfect amount of tang to go with the crisp on the chicken.

OMG, the chips and gravy are exactly what the body craves for after a night out on the town. The chicken Poppers are ok but I always ask for half the amount of sauce as they drown them in it. But seriously, the chips and gravy, it's what need, right now.
