Bunnings is my favourite store. Got what i went in for . Then just wandered around for 1hr .

Beyond impressed! This past Saturday I came in after discovering a leak from my washing machine which was horrifying! I had no clue where to begin with resolving this issue so I came in to your store in a bit of a tizz! Joe from your plumbing department went above and beyond with helping to not only calm me down, but also steer me in the right direction of a solution. Spectacular customer service and a happy resolution all around! Will definitely be coming back 😊

Bunnings by the airport has a good supply of outdoor cushion storage containers. Went to several other places and could not find what I wanted. I have always used Mitre 10 for many years, but might just check at Bunnings, before making further purchases. 😀 Updated 20 March 2022 Have just purchased the last 2 weeks, pavers and lots of plant pots, for my new easy care garden, the landscaper finished on Friday. I have to say Bunnings seem to have a greater variety of products, compared to Mitre 10, where I have shopped for many years. 👍

Great for a verity of needs. However very inconsistent with any staff support. Especially the drive through purchasing products, no service, or service with lack of knowledge of products, no support either, with & when, loading. Often difficult to find any staff support available, in aisles. This comment is based on 2 years experiences, purchasing products from the Tower Junction warehouse.

Bunnings at riccarton has improved so much! I no longer dread going into bunnings to ask a question to a staff member, because most employees are now women! Back when it was mostly men working here, they never took me seriously as a woman and talked to me as if I knew nothing. Whereas now the workers are friendly, kind, and never put you down for asking something.

I was in a panic rush as I had an inspection the next day and ran out of paint, I had Joseph serve me and help get a colour match. 11/10 customer service he was polite, talkative and extremely helpful making sure we got the right colour. This man deserves a raise 👏

Big place has everything you need or want. Great prices. They have a little indoor cafe that is nice. My only down on this place is they have staff everywhere but no one wants to help. I got a outdoor burner they were on the second shelf so ask a staff member for help. He took it of shelf and left it on floor and just walked away.

A great place to shop. Lots of parking same with a drive in pickup area for large items. Has a coffee shop inside the store with good selection of non alcoholic drinks. Staff are always very helpful and knowledgeable about the product they sell. They have a wide variety of products with good warranty plus the the 15% off if you find the same item anywhere else so always getting the best deals

In need of a few light globes I'd already tried another store, fortunately Bunnings had the halogen units that I prefer to use. At the check out the self service consoles were roped off and only one staff member was scanning at a register. The delay was considerable due to constant "chit chat, and vivid conversations" I made comment that it was inappropriate and was given the option to pay at the service desk. This proved to be far more faster.

Always a pleasure to enter. ALL staff very professional and nothing a problem for them. We had one young staff member who came back to us to show us where to get our timber for a bathroom cabinet as we were looking in the wrong place. We required plywood to fix a bathroom cabinet. No complaints ever frm us. That young man gave me his name but I've sadly forgotten !!

Great store, everything you need and friendly staff, the only thing I struggle with is the set up they've for Covid, they have you coming in one side and going out the other but to get out you have to walk across the path of people coming in, if they swapped the in and out doors around you wouldn't have too. It kind of defeats the separate door idea. But that's just my paranoia, if you need anything DIY related, I think they've more than got you covered!

I went to buy some plants from their garden centre and spent about an hour casually walking around choosing plants and flowers and I didn't see any staff there during that time to ask for assistance and guidance, nor was I approached by any staff to see if I needed any assistance. Some of the plants were bone dry and were in need of watering which didn't look great. There were lots of big trolleys and things in the way of some of the isles and I couldn't get the trolley around to the terracotta pots as the access was obstructed. On the positive side, the cafe is nice with cheaply priced coffees and lots of gluten free cake options!

My Bunnings trip today was delightful, the staff were friendly however there were no sausage sizzles outside. This was obviously tragic as picking up a cheeky snag or two has always been the highlight of my day whenever I needed to head down to Bunnings.

Very lovely Bunnings store - the best in all of Christchurch for sure. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and will gladly assist you with anything you need without being too pushy. I have never seen a single staff member unhappy at this place, and it makes for a fantastic atmosphere. Even when on break or doing something else, they always seem to be having a great time, it definitely seems like a fantastic work environment! The baristas at the indoor Cafe make outstanding coffee, and it is completely unbeatable for price and quality. I have never been disappointed coming to this Bunnings inside Cafe, and usually opt for it instead of other standalone cafes. Outside, there are sausage sizzles, fundraisers, raffles and learning activities on most days, which shows that the store cares about it's community and not just about the money and the profit it is making. Personally, I find this to be a great feature of the store. Thank you guys for being outstanding and having such a clean store with amazing service. And a shout-out for Dave who helped my partner and I to get the best possible lawnmower for our tiny-yard and keeping us informed about safety and maintenance! :-)

Cheap and cheerful with a great range of goods. Quality of much of the product range has improved over the years and this should be recognized. On a negative note - I do not like the self pay only approach as I still value checkout service in a store. I also really dislike the security staff at the main store entrance chr king and observing as people enter and leave. Fully accept that this is so sadly necessary in NZ today - but it slightly make me feel uncomfortable as an honest customer. Other than that - I enjoy my visits here.

Always a struggle getting help here. Staff run in opposite direction if they see you coming. Had to go back and get my key's modified 3 times as weren't cut properly. I was made to feel like an annoying pest but turns out they were cut on the wrong key by the staff member. No apologies or compensation for all the traveling back there and wasted time. Maybe more training needed by staff overall to satisfy the customer.

I was looking for A indoor plants on new year eve at Bunnings, i found one in a Christmas pot that is inappropriate for the time so I wanted swapping the pot to an ordinary pot ,i brought them with doubt to the information center by the entrance, i served by a lady around her 50's i guess ,she was kind and Listened to me patiently ,surprisingly, i got the plants with a very reasonable price lower than a marked price ,thank you Bunnings with great customer service

Very disappointed to find that the compost on special was still stacked on the upper shelving and none available on the floor as the staff were unable to use the forklift to get it down. Not very good forward thinking! We were able to get some at Mitre 10 at the same price. Sorry you missed on the sale. Not up to your usual customer service.

Went to bunnings riccarton on Saturday. I was served by a young man from kaikohe he came around the corner saw me and came straight over he was very helpful and friendly. Then I headed instore and was served by a young man luke at the tool counter again very friendly and told me it was his weekend job as he was still at school. My last interaction was another young man on the gate checking my load again friendly and happy. It was awesome to see the exuberance of the next generation getting started in their careers. Well done to all the young staff

Felt very claustrophobic in what is a massive building, way too many items squeezed into every aisle, many places felt like a 1 way bridge and you needed to back out of it if someone was coming the other way. I doubt I'll go there again.

She then told me no ones on plumbing today so I will have to find Dave. And then just stared at me.. yup.. that lady needs some customer service skills pronto. But off I went to find Dave between aisle 20 and 21.. and theres a man who knows customer skills! Even though he couldnt help me with the part.. even after helping me search through plumbing he apologised for being unable to help. Thanks Dave. I try my very best to find the good in a place, I am always suspicious of why people give a bad rating, ie they were having a bad day etc. So I find that I TOO found the service Woeful, the two young men on the checkout, just Didn't want to be there. While the Garden section was well laid out, plants plentiful, finding assistant was like looking for Hens teeth and putting sprinkles on randomly so people got wet, seemed counter productive to selling plants.The young woman who cheerfully greeted me, showed that she really didn't give a toss, when she re-greeted me as a new customer (had to go back out to the car for some measurements). I would like to give a big shout out to the Woman who DID Show some enthusiasm and took time to help me find the Polothene for lining my Fish pond. To be honest well stocked and the cafe food looked great. Assistance and Counter Service sadly NOT So Great. I would come back to give the place a second chance, but overall a disappointing experience this time.

Bunnings Riccarton feels like the biggest store in Christchurch. There’s always a sausage sizzle out front and there’s plenty of parking so I prefer to come here for my hardware and home maintenance needs.

"Best price" claim is a load of rubbish!! On Power Pass card, which is supposedly their trade discount, they don't discount 90x45 H1.2 timber its set at $6.84 per meter. Go down the road to a great store called 'Health Based Building' a local supplier and you can get 90x45 H1.2 LVL timber at $5.03 per meter (as a regular customer, no trade discount). LVL is meant to be way more than standard timber, and is a better product, always straight. Don't waste your time and money buying timber off these guys, better deals and better products avaliable elsewhere!!! If you are going to offer a "trade discount" card, actual make it a discount. I've even had some products go up by 10cents when buying with Power Pass card.

It has a large selection of outdoor furniture & BBQs, plus a large gardening area, with forna, pots & pond equipment. The staff are always so very polite, courteous & helpful. It also has a small indoor cafe with excellent coffee, pies, sandwiches & cakes/slices, all at very keen prices.

Bunnies Warehouse is a good place for shopping but the junior young man who is working for the kitchen department should be trained for the related knowledge to help customers. He has no idea about the kitchen sinks and gave me the wrong information what can be a major mistake.

My go to when I need something for the house. They have a massive selection and its a big store, so you sometimes will need to search for a staff member if you need help. But as long as you ask questions along their expertise they are very knowledgeable and most are passionate.

Bunnings is indeed a world of possibilities. You go in for a broom and come out with a barbeque, a rug, a lamp, a plant and a classic snag; perhaps even a pie if you're feeling extra peckish (they have a great little cafe). Bunnings truly have it all. If your partner is into DIY just make sure you keep them on a leash!
