Again today this store continues to provide great service. I would say it's the best Mitre 10 in Christchurch. Great store, great range and great service. I prefer to come here for my DIY/renovation products over my local mitre 10 as they are so much more friendly, helpful and cheerful. They have a great plant range to.

It is well known. So nothing to describe what they do. They have a drive through too. You might probably get confused of the exit if you are not familiar.

Visited the shop today and received the usual excellent service which keeps me coming back - well done team. Only disappointment was the amount of commercial Christmas music playing over the sound system which you can hear on the radio any old time. Would be great to hear some more traditional Christmas music which really brings the spirit of Christmas to life.

We often come here as its the closest hardware store. So it's convenient for us, staff are very helpful and available when needed. Prosuct range is amazing and we always leave satisfied with our purchases. They have free wifi onsite aswell and great AC :)

Paul's service in the Paints Department is always second to none and his product knowledge is amazing. It's almost disappointing when he is on days off and I need to know something or some help with some work we are doing. There is the woman in the Cleaning Department (Sharon?) that made us try Bar Keeper's Friend and a 3 sachet cleaner for our Dishwasher. BKF has made us move away from Chemico and the Dishwasher came out sparkling. Thank you both for great service!!

Easy car parking. Clean tidy entrance to the store with the most impressive dog parking spots I've ever seen. Easy to navigate around the store with friendly staff to put you in the right direction. In the gardening section a veryu knowledgeable staff member helped me with my queries around white fly and gave me the best solution to take home and try. She then pointed me to my next spot. Coffee shop there and lots of product. Very clean store. The check out was easy and staff again very polite.

Hi the bald head man (looks like me) gave me the good oil on toilet replacement seats. I was impressed. Pat him on the back and forevermore look after the baldies. In the electrical street the young lady is a wizard who immediately takes you to the correct item. Don't pat her she may take offence. Just give her a big smile. Now Caleb 1 of the 3 there, is always polite and is happy to oblige/ what a wonderful workforce M10 has.

One of my favourite stores, love going to look at the plants and having a coffee at the Columbus cafe. Staff is really friendly and helpful a few times they haven’t had what we wanted but have looked it up if it is stoked at another miter 10. Can be very busy on the weekends but it‘s big enough you only notice this on entering and when you are waiting in the cue.

I purchased a 425litre rain water tank, so I can water my vege garden come summer. My Dad helped me with it. We needed help as we couldn't find all the bits we needed so I got help and it was brilliant and the two men who helped were good for a giggle. And were able to answer all our questions. A 5 star for this store for sure. The manager is really on top of it and if you have any problems he will make sure it gets sorted. There is also plenty parking, it does get full but this also shows that they are well prepared and popular. I have found that the store is well stocked and mostly friendly staff members. I recommend this store instead of some others that I have been to.

Quite possibly the best Mitre 10 Mega in New Zealand? All the staff are super friendly. Rob was happy to cut a piece of plywood to size for a painting. It’s worth the trip from the other side of town :-) They even have charging stations for electric cars!

Fast and efficient service with friendly staff except for one clown who decided to be a comedian and not help a female staff member struggling to find exactly what was needed. She apologized for being unable to get an exact match but actually she was spot on. I needed silicone sealant and the annoying thing for tradies is having to put a screw in the dispenser that comes with silicone to stop it hardening in the tube. Thanks to her for around $10 each I got 2 of 300 ml tubes of electrical silicone that have screw on red plastic caps. One of my best buys and thanks again to the young woman down by the trades counter

Every Thursday I collect my grandchildren from kindy and school. The first thing they ask me is can we go to Mitre 10! We have afternoon tea in the lovely clean cafe and the staff really look after the kiddies. Then they have a play in the playground. I love to look in the garden centre and the store, and I have got to know a few of the staff around the place. I've never come across a more helpful, friendly, obliging group of people. It's a real pleasure going there, and at the same time it's making lovely memories for my grandchildren. Thank you!

Paul from the bathroom section was a top bloke and fantastic to deal with, nothing was an issue even when the shower I purchased needed a different shower tray. He was more than helpful in the whole interaction and went out of his way to make sure the receipt had a note explaining the return procedure for the unneeded tray. We had not been to this branch of Mitre 10 before and were very surprised by the service. Right from the interaction from the man standing as greeter at the shop entry. He was very positive toward all who past him. I waited for several minutes beside him while my wife came in and saw first hand this interaction. He directed us correctly to the isle we needed. There we were helped by another person in selecting all the irrigation equipment we needed and gave us a good hint in finding the next item. Another person helped us select the fertiliser and bug spray. Our next item was quickly picked for us in the shelving isle and then shown where to find the superglue I required. To top it off the young girl at the checkout helped us as though she knew us from old. All round a fantastic experience, one we wish to repeat again Papanui. High five to them, thanks

After my poor experience in Cromwell, Vin from Papanui restored my hope in Mitre 10! His store was among one I called to find if the price promise was a 15km radius as the lady there had said..... He assured me this wasn't the case and was so apologetic for my experience there and told me if he had any stock he would give me that price in a heartbeat as 'a customer is worth more than losing a bit of money on the product if they spent the time researching pricing' (in his words). After the whole experience and the Cromwell store mucking me around I called Vin up again as he was the nicest and helpful of all stores (saying that, I have never had an issue price promising with any mitre 10 until Cromwell) Vin apologized again and again and even again. He didint want one Mitre 10 leaving a sour experience and stopping me shopping at them all, which honestly it did until I spoke to Vin. He offered to order me in the Weber for price I had found cheaper online and agreed I would also get the 15% off as promised by Mitre 10 as an apology for my experience with Cromwell. Great work Vin 👌 Also to all Christchurch stores for setting the standard just by phoning I can tell the customer service standard is on a whole different level but Vin was just the cut above the rest. 😁

I shop regularly here and the indoor staff are extremely helpful and service is very good. On three occasions i have used the outdoor building supply department and the service has been poor. Staff do not acknowledge you and when you seek help they push you from staff member to member. Acknowledging the customer, and saying you will attend to them in a time frame, does not seem too much. This also alleviates being bumped down the service order. Update 20/6/19. I have been back to the building centre several times and service has been consistently improved, knowledgeable and friendly. I have amended the score

As far as these types of stores go, it's fine. My only problem is that the main walkways get a bit crowded with special displays, which can make it hard to manoeuvre sometimes. I think most stores do that, but I'm also annoyed with most stores for doing this.

This hardware store is just fantastic. They have everything you could possibly need from home DIY supplies, tools, hardware, garden supplies, an extensive array of building materials. They can also order in what they don't have in stock. There is a cafe inside and a great kids playground. On Saturday and Sunday they have activities for kids. The staff here are also knowledgeable and very helpful. An incredible store.

I had to return an item that had developed a fault after a couple of weeks use. I have to say that the return process was the easiest and most pleasant I've had with any retailer. I dealt with two different people on the service desk and Jay in furniture. Consistent, unhurried, empathetic and overall very professional. A credit to your company.

Young lady took my order and said it would be ready in about 3 months, when the new cafe with a kitchen will be built Go to the cafe every week day. Been going there for nearly 2 years. The cafe staff a very friendly and have become just like family. All of Mitre 10 staff are very friendly,helpful and seem very happy, they are always joking with each other.

I always find the staff here to be extremely helpful, great garden centre with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Drive-thru area for building supplies. Cafe. I had to return a faulty sprinkler, stuff were helpful and understanding no issues with getting a full refund.

It's a nice store but.... I wanted to make a purchase via afterpay however the items I wanted arent available via the website.. I was told 70% of their stock arent available online.. then why offer afterpay since it can't be used in store but the products arent available to purchase online? Its very misleading and disappointing.

Opening day. It was great. Children had loads of free fun. Only a small thing. Some seats by the playground for us oldies would be good while we are waiting for the children to finish playing.

The staff are fantastic here. It's always easy to find someone to help you and the staff are friendly and knowledgable. A great range of stock too. I drive an extra 10 minutes to get here because Mitre 10 is so much better than Bunnings

Mitre 10 Papanui is the best. I particularly like the Garden Centre which has great quality product and friendly service. If you value quality and service and reasonable pricing this is the place to go!

With in walking distance from my house and it has everything you need in regards to the hardware department n d.i.y. My only complaint is ,I needed assistance with a tool to fix my dining table with and I was sent in the direction of the hardware department to A man that specialised in that area , i new what I was looking for but this assistant told me the total opposite and then said there was no such tool????🧐🤐😬 I refused to take that answer because I was going for the cost sufficient route , soooo to cut a long story short Google search maybe before asking for the help of someone that doesn't know what hes doing.

It has all the basics, the garden area is a bit tight and doesn't have enough variety of indoor plants. Everything else seems fine. Pricing at the shelves is not the same charged at the check outs. It hasn't happened at other Mitre10; the operator didn't bother fixing the error so I left unhappy. At the same driving distance from M10 Hornby, I still have a good option.

By far the biggest mitre 10 I have been in and appears to have a much larger range than others (for example at least 10 different types of sprinkler) also has an area where they will pot your seedings for you.

Much better that the store in Ferrymead. This store has friendly staff and a much nicer layout. Main reason for not being 5 stars is the lack of selection in Lawnmowers. I will end up going elsewhere as they simply did not have the feature I want.
