Good experience as usual. Friendly helpful staff. Even greet you as you walk past... which I do appreciate. Well laid out. Plenty of stock and variety. Great spot to sort the DIY projects. They have useful "how to" videos linked in from their website which are great and clear. Definitely a Mega Store! Huge.

They are very receptive to charities selling raffle tickets. I was there for two sessions with Coastguard Wellington. Nice kind people that they are, they even stored the boat on the premises over the long weekend. How kind. They even have a top notch eatery on the premises too. Just the place to top up one's protein requirements. I take my hat off to them 🎩

We had a lovely lunch at the cafe in Mitre 10 store. Then one of the group nearly brought an outdoor chair. After a few enquires with the two young men, she decided to bring her husband back later to view the chair. The helpful service she received was absolutely great. They were very knowledgeable about the product too. Awesome friendly customer service, thank you.

Very good for all types of tools, hardware, garden tools and garden centre. Plus they have a great variety of merchandise, too many to list. The layout of the stores are wide and easy to walk around. also, everything is labelled well.

Lol can't get out of this place without coming back out with alot more then I intended. Staff always super helpful & generally you can find Someone to help you (which helps alot to buy things) Gardening here I come!

Very friendly and helpful staff. They really try hard to meet your needs. The lady responsible for looking after the plants does a great job in keeping them well watered and healthy.

I like the old woman in the paint section. She is the epitome of true customer service. In my first encounter with her, she really guided me in the choice of paint with her poignant questions. When I told what else I need, she would take me to the item and explain the various options. The second encounter was when I was looking for a coloured sealant to match the floor boards I have. Not finding the right colour, she walked with me to the flooring section. It is not her station. Yet, she patiently assisted me in finding the closest possible colour. Eventually, I bought the coloured sealant. Then, she respectfully exited and went back to her station. What really caught my attention in my two encounters was her very respectful nature. She is much older than I am. Yet, she still addresses me with "Sir". That is a rarity one hears from store personnel. Very formal. Very humble. Kudos to that lady. 👍👍

Nice store, but things are way overpriced. This does not surprise me as it is supposed to provide only local goods. Overall, Bunnings is a better option.

Service here is top notch. Staff are easy to find in each department, knowledgeable helpful and friendly. My favourite place to shop....prefer it to clothes shopping any day. 😉

A lovely lady came up and asked if I needed help and made great recommendations on what I needed for my project. Even spent the time to give the dog a pat. Would highly recommend.

Massive selection of stuff, store is insanely big. Staff are a bit hit n miss but generally friendly, forgivable because the store is massive so hard to remember every SKU. Took me ages to find the item I wanted, the guy working in the main outdoor section was the hero and sorted me out.

The BEST Mitre 10 I've ever been to ... their range is impressive ... I use this store both for products around the home and work. The staff are extremely helpful and always friendly! I often find myself heading there for coffee and a bite to eat as well lol ... their cafe is outstanding! Ample parking onsite for all customers including Disabled and Parent parking and a cool little playground to entertain the kids while you enjoy a Cappuccino... I highly recommend.

Large store, great selection, ample parking, friendly staff. In an industrial park, so there are other specialist stores next door if you need to get a few things.

Staff are helpful and friendly. However, unlike bunnings, the don't have treats for the doggo..which is upsetting for him.

Got a bacho wrench set and the box was damaged on one side good place and the checkout staff were great

Customer service is top notch. I suspect they hire ex-tradies as whenever I’ve talked with them they seem to have many tricks of the trade as well as full knowledge of the products. Whatever you’re doing Mitre10, continue doing it as it’s great as a customer! Great range of products and they don’t seem to sell the real bottom of the range stuff like Bunnings do so from a longevity standpoint point that’s great to see.

Great place walked our dog and bought some great bargains. Got the stain I needed for my deck and outside furniture. To top if of they gave me a chilly bag for free

Great store with helpful staff. The added bonus is the Cafe which has a good selection of food. Another trip to the store and found staff very helpful, but checkout person no eye contact and looking around, just stood with an unfriendly manner waiting for the product to be loaded rather than just come and scan from trolley. No greeting or thank you.

After going to Bunnings for some wood, who had one staff member on and about a dozen customers trying to get service, I gave up and tried Mitre10. There were plenty of staff on, who couldn't have been more helpful.

We were looking for shelving on Tuesday and returned to buy them this weekend but to our woe it was sold out. The lovely guy and gal at the dept. took the extra effort to find out who had stock and made sure that 2 units were held for me in my name . Thank you guys you saved me from the dog box.

The staff in the trade area are always really lovely and willing to help though I find it difficult sometimes to wrangle someone near the powertools area. Generally a good place to shop though and the cafe is a bonus for my partner who, unfortunately, does not share the same passion about shopping for building supplies as me.

Went to mitre 10 just over 1 week ago and received exceptional customer service from a someone called Robert (I think that was his name). He went above and beyond and his knowledge in gardening was phenomenal.

Absolutely huge DIY store that will likely have anything you need. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable when asked a number of questions which I really appreciated. They even have a drive thru section which is ideal for tradies looking to stock up on particularly bulkier items.

If there's a tool these guys don't have, well, it's not worth having. I stared at the Makita electric power tools for about ten minutes until a kindly bloke took pity on me and taught me everything I needed to know. Great customer service. Just don't get lost because it's bloody big.

Best service I've had in years. Their staff know their products and always willing to provide helpful advice based on their experience and customer feedback. Dumb questions by DIYer is always answered with grace (unlike Bunnings who rarely help).

OMG! It felt like Xmas had arrived! This business has everything! The gardening area had all one would need from seeds to plants, pots, soil - the lot. Very impressed with the BBQ's and outdoor furniture. Very popular!

A lady staff Jo was very professional yet personal in her service when I asked for help about plastic containers. A great base for a coffee & catchup. Good selection of food and meals. Plenty of seats. Problem with sparrows swooping on leftover food etc from customers despite staff doing their best to keep the birds out.

Love visiting this store, especially the colourful garden area. Veges and flowers 3 for $10 such a great bargain and affordable. Staff are always so helpful when needing advice. Look forward to more visits.

Helpfull staff, everything you need in one store.

Well stocked hardware warehouse with plenty of items to empty your wallet. A good garden centre. Children's play area and a Columbus Cafe also onsite.

Always enjoy visiting there. Struggle to get staff for help sometimes. Tu'i, Helen and (sorry for the spelling) Lazsau in the plumber and Kitchen area were all very helpful. On gentleman working in the plastering and waterproofing area was so caring and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately I didn't get his name. There is also a lovely (guessing, Pacific island/maybe Tongan,) lady welcomed us into the store. Love her genuine smile

My partner and I were buying paint in your store on Sunday. We were assisted by Phillipa. This lady was amazing. Gave great advice. She spent a lot time with us and a no time did we feel that we were taking up too much if her time.

Good range of products. I was in the kitchen/bathroom/laundry area and wanted some advice but it was the one area of the shop where no-one asked if I needed assistance. Everywhere else the staff were friendly.

Great helpful staff, the drive through area was chaos though, lots of people, cars, forklifts and general mayhem. Probably a busy time, Saturday 9am... great store though with an excellent range and free loan trailers.

Pretty much got what one need for home DIY, and each department got staff members relevant to help you out. Theres a whole lot of special bargain bins and boxes to bombard your attention as you enter. Theres a cafe inside as well pretty much serves up good food. Pretty handy specially when you missed brekkie before you leave home.

Good shop and most staff are great. There is one or two grumpy staff there that need customer service training or some that I have notice dodge customers. Apart from that not a bad place at all.

Huge store with everything plus more. Tools, hardware, Timber yard and plant nursery. There is even a cafe Instore and kids play area. Huge range of specials advertised and reasonable prices otherwise. Huge car park and easy to find in the centre of Petone.

The service was top notch today. Security on the door were courteous and directed us to where we needed to be. All items required were in stock. Extremely happy.

Loved every minute of it. A huge selection through out the store, and a good garden section, too. The cafe is also great and straddles between the store and the garden centre. Parents can sit there in peace while the kids play in the playground. Easily spend hours here!

Always good. Had a cooked breakfast, really good. They didn't have what we wanted , so we went to Bunnings, same story there. But I still rate Mitre 10.

Higher priced than bunnings and it's imposable to get them to price match bunnings as they have different labels for the same product (Or products that are VERY similar but different name. All made in china but with a different name)

Went hunting for baby hot water bottles. The staff were incredibly helpful from one end of the store to the other. We found the baby hot water bottles in plain sight right by the checkout. Thank you Mitre 10 super staff 🦸‍♀️🦹‍♀️🦸‍♂️🦹‍♂️

It's okay but I wish staff would be honest about things as I saw a worm farm on the web on the mitre 10 website and they said they didn't stock it. So why advertise it if you don't stock it

Bought nothing but had coffee and a bite at their Columbus cafe. A good food selection, and interesting choices. Were reminded once again what a well organized and attractive store Mitre 10 is, with quality products. Far better than their Australian competition.

Staff very helpful checkout girl was very unhelpful didn't even ask if I wanted a box for my 4 coffee mugs as I also had a 60l storage bin and a few other things

Great gardening gear and plant range. The BBQ range is awesome as is the outdoor furniture. The tools are descent and so are the staff expertise on how to use them properly. It is good to find staff that can talk to you rather than just sell you stuff.

Excellent in all ways, way better then your competitors Bunnings. Staff are always welcoming and readily found. I have been to bunnings on many occasions to purchase things but had to leave coz theres no staff to actually go to or inquire about products. Mitre 10 are just brilliant, always someone in person to help.

Excellent customer service in Petone. We were given great information about what type of stain to use for our pallet headboard. All the staff are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the products. Will definitely be coming back here. Well done guys!

One of the big Mega Mitre10 stores and the biggest one in Wellington region I think. They have great variety on all things you need and friendly supportive staff.

Well, Bunnings might be cheaper but you’ll have a better experience shopping at Mitre 10 and it’s more likely that you get a better quality product. Also very supportive staff at Mitre 10 Petone. The cafe is a bonus.

Our laundry tub arrived damaged. Fantastic customer service. One pleasant phone call later, They delivered a replacement and took the other one away. Very impressed.

My son loves going there, they have a cool little cafe and a playground for the kids and he loves to look at all the tools!

I would live here, except the wife has assured me, she would move in too. Not a rare occurence to lose an afternoon wandering around fantasizing about all the DIY projects I could finish with the great range of products, if only I wasn't busy shopping at Mitre 10 Mega.

Great staff, in house cafe is fanastic, my son loves the small trolley, and I love the fact that the trolley has a flag to find him, and a handle to keep him. Great for DIY supplies, although they can't fix my personal DIY suckiness.

Great store, lots of variety. Awesome garden centre. Cafe has gone down hill a lot in coffee and food quantity since the change in ownership. Staff need to learn how to properly heat food!!! But the Mitre 10 is good.

I visit here monthly. We buy a lot of plants for the gardens and pots. I do find Bunnings have a better selection of 95c plants at times. Some staff are helpful but some act like they dnt want to be there.

Big store with All of the usual items any diy person would be after. Have asked them to price match before as sometimes you can find cheaper elsewhere - they’re always happy to drop their prices to match.

Decent selection of gardening and hardware for work around d the home. The cafe and playground make the experience something of an outing for the whole family, especially when the weather is poor. Plenty if parking.

We always come here as there's a huge selection and we always get what we're looking for. Customer service is great. There's always a staff member around to help but they don't pester you, which we hate. Love this store.

Its Mitre 10. Staff are always friendly and decently knowledgeable if you find the right one in the building sections. Be good if they had a few native trees in the Garden section though. OK range of fruit trees but nothing more that a few shrubs for natives

We went to the cafe only. It was a very slow service. 20 minutes to get served. Changes have to be made to get through the queue faster. Coffee and scone were fine.

Like going to Mitre 10 if it just to purchase a light bulb or a water blaster, the staff are very helpful, good experience all round, and a great in-house cafe set in the garden centre where you can buy a light meal or share a coffee or tea

The team at Mitre10 Mega Petone are wonderful. Always keen to help out and so knowledgeable on their department! Sometimes there can be a wait for help in the trade and paint sections but that's only because it's popular and plenty of staff means you get served pretty quickly considering how busy it is on the weekend! Remember $$$ for sausages on the weekend!

I think most people come to eat at the cafe located inside the building. Amazing food, lightning speed service and fantastic friendly staff. Love the food. Been here 3 times and was impressed each time. AAAA++++

Great shopping and service.

The thing I love about mitre10 is I can always find a staff member to help me. And I've had some amazing levels of help, many are very experienced. One guy actually fitted the Hinges to my cupboard doors.

This is a big shop, NZ owned, thank goodness. Helpful staff, some of who are tradies during the week. Good cafe, huge timber yard, loads of tools, bloke shopping at it's best. This one of few big shops for blokes in the Hutt, Queensgate is an overcrowded teenage girl hangout, with very few mens shops. Farmers manager told me: "its all about her". Fine. Go to Mitre 10 petone, spend an excellent morning, have coffee, then nick off to a plumbing or tramping shop nearby, then Italian lunch at La Bella.

Easy to find items and shelves kept tidy. Entrance way is a bit cramped and the feature items (seasonal) aren't as exciting as other stores.

I prefer this over Bunnings in regards to options, easy access and parking. However you are compromising price, not sure if you can bargain or beat prices

Had to return a faulty tap. Best customer service ever. No problems. They new their stuff and were very helpful.

Went into get some mouse traps. They had a wide selection of traps and poisons for Ralph the mouse to eat or fall into. They had a sausage sizzle (Belmont scouts) outside and that made the day all the better.

Store is good but can be hard to find some items, it's also ALWAYS so hot in the store like they leave the AC on heat 24/7

Nice staff good range of products but unless it is on special the Mega is always expensive it is the mitre10 head office policy they will always take too much and the stores struggle to survive on price.

A 1/2 inch bolt snapped on my bike and no other bike shop could get me one same day so I went to more 10 MEGA and found a bolt I needed plus nilock nuts .

Large Mitre10 Mega meaning the range and stock levels are both large. Orderly and efficient every time I've been there.
