Special shout out to the garden centre staff!!!! You are amazing! I am so so grateful for your help. Please boss give them a pay rise, and give them special end of year treats, they go above and beyond for customers, truly the best. So kind and friendly. 4.5 stars for convenience, easy to find , well stocked ,and reasonable service for a busy outlet . We stop here every time we're on our way to do work up north. With food outlets next door as well, but good coffee and refreshments inside .

Excellent customer service & so helpful. Love the toasties at the Cafe too! Great shop highly recommend & to be able to take doggies into the store is an added bonus, especially on a hot day to get them out of a hot car!

Big weed sprayers were almost sold out. Solid shopping experience. At least they have nice clean bathrooms.

It's changing too fast for my liking, into having to do a lot of buying on line only. Wanted to buy a kitchen by using forms which display cupboards etc on a form with prices attached ( as was the process a couple months ago) and going to the shop and getting the flat packs......now that is impossible. An " expert" does it all on line with you ; all needing to be ordered . Plus all items prices have increased but I could find out how much until I booked a time with the " expert"!!! Some people might find this OK. I went straight to Mitre 10 where I picked up information I can do at home and then collect or have ordered

Good all round warehouse with a big stock of all sorts and sizes equipment, building materials for serious business or just some small projects. They have beautiful selection of tools and hardware to those from. Their staff members are friendly and professional and willing you to provide information about their products. Good advice is always helpful. They have a great parking area to. I really recommend this place.

Would be a lot easier shopping here if one could get help from a staff member when required! I find myself chasing down aisles looking for an assistant. Otherwise, all is good. They allow dogs into their building too. A nice bonus when shopping there. Shows they do care. Thank you.

Why would you not go here, even if you didn't plan on buying something, you will. This store is full of things you just need and the staff are so helpful and knowledgeable.

Parking spaces are tight. The store was very busy the day I went so carpark was packed. Saw many vehicles including myself having to do three point turns to get out!!. On the plus side - no long waits to enter shop

Love the variety of bunnings but been in 3 times now when stock not on shelves of sales and nobody had time to get the product from out the back even wen it's been very quiet.overal good service tho.

Customer service as improved alot lately, so started to go back there of some of my items.

Always find what we are looking for. Usually good pricing and lots of parking. They have toilets inside the store.

Some aisles were a bit messy but I'm guessing Sunday is their day for rearranging things. Staff were helpful tho and service was good.

We had to go to the garden centre part of Bunnings. Wow, what a difference. The last time we were there (some time ago), we were disappointed in the garden centre, but not this time. Very impressed at the range and quality of stock. Definitely going back.

Bunnings have a very good large selection of solar garden lights, I have purchased a large selection and always been very pleased

3 stars for friendly staff every time even though they have to check your docket when you leave. Still can take your dog which is very cool. Lost stars because I always find it hard to find something (compared to other large hardware stores), plus it is under construction which seems to happen a lot (not sure what is happening behind here or there but playground was out of use which is one reason we decided to go to this store.

Bit of a wait a little but once in the yard ,, easy unload and out ,, away you go,, thanks to all the hoist Driver for the good work..

A great place to glean some home improvement ideas - and most of the product to help bring those ideas to fruition. A good range of products - tools, equipment and materials. Clean well set out store. Bunnings Warehare had excellent displays, but some stock rather poorly set out. Some new stock crowded some walking zones. Flooring dsplay includes advice/guidance on floor prep, laying laminate, finishing and maintaining the finished floor. Staff dealt with were knowledgeable and helpful in each of zones I sought and obtained technical and detailed help.

Bunnings is great. They had the zebra grass I wanted.

Pretty busy but I found what I wanted easily. They have some brilliant offers and prices at the moment too. Compost is under $5 for 40 litres, soil conditioners under $6 for 40 litres and terracotta plant pots for $1.20!

I visited Bunnings a couple of times during my stay in NZ and was shocked by how closely it resembles a Home Depot in the US. Similar color scheme, layout and smells. Made me feel at home. There was a charitable organization selling hot dogs for a reasonable price when I visited, which was a nice perk. The employees were helpful and efficient.

Garden center very empty, most of what plants available were in not very good condition, way below usual standard

Has a huge stock for the DIY home owner and anyone looking for a bargain within their wide variety of products. Pricing reasonable. But do some research and planning beforehand so you have some knowledge of what you need before you go. We rebuilt two kitchens at a good price. Staff friendly and seem more relaxed.

Helpful staff ,got what we needed in garden dept.

The store always seems to be a mess. It's difficult to find what you are looking for and even more difficult to find a staff member to help you. Last time I was in even the staff member couldn't find what I was after, even though their computer said there should have been plenty of them in store!

Think I'm starting to have an unhealthy addiction to this place. Know where to find nearly everything without asking. If I do need help, a host of lovely staff and team members are there to help. Always busy but there is enough parking. Missing the sausage sizzles, not their fault. They also are one of the best stores for contact tracing, easily located forms and barcodes to scan. A great place to shop for your hardware or gardening needs.

Visited to buy plants and flowers for the garden. A good selection at market prices. The store is always clean, tidy, laid out well and goods are clearly priced. Consistent with other Bunnings stores. Handy free parking and a good location on the outskirts of Whangarei so you don't jostle with city traffic. It is sometimes hard to get out of the intersection to SH1 beside McDonalds though!

One of my favourite hardware stores have everything you need huge stock to pick from always nice pure staff.

My only negative comment. I am over 70 female, trying to lift two 40 litre bags compost onto my trolley, two young male staff walked past and totally ignored me struggling. Please ask your staff to be more helpful

It's a Bunnings at the end of the day, big, bright, and stocked to the roof. Never found any available staff for product enquiry. Did not purchase anything on the day. Huge carpark outside.

Staff at trade counter friendly patient very helpful .wanted sandbags to divert water, staff checked for potato bags but they were gone. Gave big plastic bag to put sand in which did the trick.Top marks!! Especially being in the older age group. This was service!!

The best thing about Bunnings is their staff ... if you want to know anything about how to do anything in the home renovation area there will be someone there who can tell you exactly what you need to know ...Likewise in the garden area - apart from that they have a wide range of products ,plants and garden supplies..

Bit disappointed. Everyone was great at guessing where the item I wanted could possibly have been, that one person who actually made an effort to help me look would have made the experience a thumbs up. I left after three tries of asking for assistance.

The Bunnings team are always helpful. I’m never disappointed with the products or services. As long as you ask the right questions and find the right person, you’ll get the answers you need. Good value for money too. Easily accessible.

Bunnings Whangarei is always helpful and well stocked with everything you could need and in most cases can get something if not available. UNFORTUNATELY recently I have had an ongoing problem getting any contact with the kitchen department. Over a month ago I went in and gave measurements etc for a splashback and never heard back so rang and tried again and was told to send to a certain person there by email which I did. It's now been weeks since I did this with no reply so have gone elsewhere for the product. This has changed my rating and is a shame no follow up was taken.

FOR: Great range of products. I get all my vegie and flower seedlings and my hardware from here. AGAINST: I've found a few of the staff at my local Bunnings, to be disrespectful, surly and sarcastic. I also find the shop too warm inside on a hot day. The waiting at checkout is tedious especially because I'm in pain most of the time and standing in line for 15 -20 mins is very uncomfortable.

When you place a order and buy online they are extremely helpful. In store not the same experience at all. Some times you get someone who wants to help.

Difficult to handle heavy items, (ie bags of garden necessities like compost is right @ the back & never any help there) not enough staff these days. Good selection of products.

One stop shop for all the bits and Bob's you need. Lower price but quality is not the top priority in product selection. Largely Chinese imports.

Now these dudes know their stuff. They always check my bag for stolen goods. But are polite about it. They must only check a few. I wear a little back pack because of a disability of my arm . I hope one day to go there and Enjoy my exit. The rest is very good.

A huge selection and among the lowest prices. Beware the modern trend towards lower quality everything. Consider paying a little extra for option with a longer warranty. It will be cheaper overall and better for the environment. My only concern with Bunnings stores in general is that it's a foreign-owned chain, so not best option if you want to support local economy.

Extremely helpful staff, and plenty of them, and there REAL staff, staff that dont run and hide in the wood work, there straight over to you asking how you are and what you need, and of 3 different visits and 4 different staff members asking them where particular items i required Not a problem were able to tell me which isle, where on the isle and either accompany me or point me in the general direction, and they were all bang on, simply outstanding, and i want to mention there range of products and pricing is simply unbeatable. -Highly recommended, good on you Bunnings Whangarei!

I find the staff in our Whangarei branch are always helpful and knowledgeable. I live out in the country so I always check online first for the product I am requiring, then I ring them to check if they have the product in store, if they don't they will ring me and put said product aside, saving me time and money. I appreciate everything they do for me. Thank you Whangarei team you are all awesome. I also have a back problem and have no problem with asking for help to load the heavier items. Nothings to much trouble for them. So thanks guys, I seriously appreciate you all.

Great stock. Compare prices online with Mitre 10. They both offer 15% discount if you find it cheaper elsewhere but sneakily often have similar products but different enough to avoid the discount offer 😉

All good bunnings warehouse, usually pretty stocked with items and staff helpfull to get unstocked items delivered. Trade depot setup is kaks though, it's often blocked up with people parking their cars across lanes and there's always trolleys full of shet in the way.

Awesome has everything. Signs for specials not anywhere near the product on special. Very confusing.

Good prices. Coffee is terrible though. They don't stock much for crafts and nothing for jewellery making. Staff are helpful when you can find them. I'd rather shop at mitre 10 though.

Not the best experience to start off with the main guy that greets you didn't listen to what I was telling him and then didn't have a clue where something was so proceeded to tell me they don't sell it and I'm wrong 🤣 So went on the search myself until another lovely lady that works there asked if I was ok and found what I was looking for because you guys did sell it like I tried to tell the guy that greets you...

Always amazes me that you can ask any staff member where something is and they will immediately direct you to the right aisle and shelf. Brilliant!

Ooooh one of the team a bit rude today.... . taking literally minutes in front of us at trade service counter to put her apron on and adjust it a few times before she could acknowledge (look at) us & then serve us. Then no communication, as clearly we were interrupting apron dressing/back from a break. But generally no problems there.

They do not have the full range of products that’s listed on website as staff told me it’s because it’s not a larger store (weird as the shop is large) this was disappointing as it’s the only Bunnings in Whangarei. Only a few staff members are friendly most seem grumpy and too busy when looking for help I still go back as there’s always a good price and normally i can get what’s required.

They have everything you need, just don't expect to be served any time soon. Always have long ques and one person on till.

One very rude an unhelpful woman staff member and long wait for a prepaid item the store had called us to pick up. On complaing to other staff they and store manager were very helpful or would have scored 1 star this visit!

Not enough cashiers on. Long wait to be served. However loads of friendly staff wondering around store seeing if I need help. Just wanting a quick in and out. But wasn't to be.

I with my mokopuna ( grandson) went into the BUNNINGS WAREHOUSE to get 6bags of pebble stones for my garden and a roll of weed mat . Then went into COUNTDOWN in TIKIPUNGA to get a few things for lunch. After lunch I had a meeting with some ladies and a couple 💑 of professional people talking about their husband's Dementia very educational experience. Well stocked and have the best range but staff numbers and attitude are normally lacking compared to mitre 10. So many times there are cues and only one person on checkout.

Bunnings Warehouse great place to get just about anything you want. JUST LOVE this place. This is my very , very favourite shopping experience...it has every thing I want and need as a practicing practical artist from drop cloths to thinners, brushes, tools, canvas, and more. It's absolute heaven and extra bonus garden supplies as well....what else could you possibly need

Love this store. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They all ask if they can help when they are busy in the aisles. Great customer service. Well done all you Bunnings Whangarei folk. However... Their website is completely pants! I have a found a 4 tier stainless steel wire mesh shelf unit in the warehouse for $60. Wanted to see if they had anything similar on bunnings website. The search facility is really awful. Only given the option of searching by price having put in 'shelving' in the search box. Then you have to click through all 468 items one page at a time. This is MADNESS - a web techie could fix this in 30 mins - what I (consumers) want is a user friendly search facility... search within dept search by material search by size etc etc the ability to drill down and narrow the search and leave a breadcrumb trail to go back. Then the ability to compare products side by side, list view, grid view.... come on Bunnings - you can do better than this. mitre 10 site isnt bad but the warehouse website is a dream to navigate through so only 3* for the terrible website.

Have to say that great place as far as the variety of goods is a shame that the more experienced staff are no longer there and have been replaced with inexperienced youth with lack of knowledge. Is that a minimum wage thing I don't know?

After an initially poor performance at bunnings I complained in writing and by telephone. After a few days Alan called to apologise and said next time you're in ask for me or ladine and we'll give you a discount. I did. Ladine was extremely helpful and gave us good discounts on our purchases. All in all I was pretty pleased on how it all worked out after as I said an initial poor performance at the checkout.

My go to hardware store. There's a few things they don't have, but for window-shopping or real purchases for any size job they've prwtty much got it all or can get it. Great staff. Happy to help.

Always cheaper on price review and overall good quality products. Only buy our veggie plants from them, produces well looked after strong growing plants.

Has a far greater stocking level than Kerikeri,I know special orders are available but it takes time especially when you can see the box behind a lady who tells you it has not arrived,the product was a Ryobi one plus which is Bunning exclusive to boot,easier just to drive to Whangarei and save the exasperation.

Bunning's is almost as good as a beautiful woman to me... I have to close my eyes and focus on what I need instead of everything else that I want but I dont need at that time. Lol

It has an excellent variety of products and prices unfortunately today it did not have the two things I needed, one was out of stock the other was not supplied. Hence the 3 star and not the 4-5 star.

Service was very slow today; also, had to go home without compost due to shelf not being restocked for at least 5 hrs. That's a 60 km round trip for me.

Dog friendly place, staff are always amazing and really knowledgeable.
