S.I was referred to Ormiston Hospital by the specialist at Middlemore Hospital and had my Gall Bladder removed at Ormiston Hospital. I have no complaints, the staff were fantastic and the food was good too. Was also close to where friends stay so I even had unexpected visitors.
R.My wifestayed at Ormiston Hospital for 3 nights,all of the staff, nurses were very professional and caring. She was looked after very well and Gynaecologist and surgeon Dr Christina is the best. Highly recommended
N.Outpatient at the Ormiston. Surgeon Andrew Hill and his team were excellent and very knowledgeable. Friendly staff. Take something warm to put on as it can be a little chilly after waking up from anesthesia.

H.I went to Middlemore diagnosed with accute appendicits in February. I was in hospital for 4-5 days and they said that they were waiting to see if my appendix ruptured before taking me in to surgery. It didn't, but I was unable to eat for about 4-5 weeks after and was able to get an appointment with a specialist in Ponsonby. I had a double mastectomy in November and an emergency surgery due to this on Christmas Eve. The surgeon in Ponsonby told me to leave well enough alone, and to revisit him with it in 12months time - knowing that I had been unable to hold anything down. A friend of mine had recent surgery with Dr. Habib Rahman at Ormiston, and suggested I speak with him. He reviewed my scans and suggested that I have surgery as soon as possible to prevent sepsis in the event that my appendix ruptured. He found a malignant tumour in my appendix when he took it out. Had I not consulted him and my appendix did in fact rupture, the cancer would have metasticised throughout my entire body - after endoring breast cancer/non-nipple sparing bilateral mastectomy four months previously. I then had part of my bowel and lower intestine removed - preventative measures. That surgery was a lot harder than the double mastectomy. I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of care that the physicians and staff here have, if it weren't for his thoroughness I would likely have been gone now. The hospital team were equally amazing. Words cannot express my gratitude for Dr. Rahman and the team at Orminston for taking such good care of me. I would highly recommend them without hesitation. Thank you.
h.I can't say enough good things about my treatment at Ormiston. I had breast reduction surgery with Dr. Stanley Loo, who did an amazing job. Beyond that, everyone in the facility was wonderful, warm, and friendly. The surgical team was so amazing and helped to keep me calm (I'd never had surgery before). Louise held my hand and talked kindly to me while anesthesia kicked it. Debbie and Jean were the loveliest of nurses on the ward where I stayed overnight, and never made me feel like I was bothering them when I needed some assistance or had questions. I would absolutely recommend getting treatment here. The facility is top notch, the food is wonderful (provided by Nourish cafe on the ground floor) and the staff are amazing.
G.At times, hard to tell the difference between a 5 star hotel and a hospital. Was there last week for a hip replacement performed by Gary French.
All staff very helpful and friendly. Great facilities - so many Sky channels! Attention to detail first rate. Easily my best hospital experience. Ormiston puts the hospital into hospitality.

J.Came here for tennis elbow surgery under ACC, was very nice hospital with clean single rooms with sky tv, and great food. Nurses were great and very caring and also surgical staff including anestic it was the first time my throat didn't hurt after surgery ast must have taken care with breathing tub. Food was cafe quality and fresh and delicious. Beds were comfortable and you had a private bathroom They even call you a week later to check everything is ok.

L.Brilliant hospital. From the moment the nurse took me in I was looked after with care and a smile. They nurses were caring and wonderful and the surgeon and team were great. Very thorough care as well. The room is amazing and has a private toilet and shower as well as tv. It's clean and doesn't smell and is almost like a very clean motel! The food is amazing i had the nicest meatballs I've ever had in there. I recommend health insurance so much.

s.On the 4th of November 2015, got to admit this hospital was great, extremely nice staff very helpful and kind, food was good enough to eat and they alway checked on me whilest I came out of surgery and resting, had a good caring funny doctor, Dr Gary French, one awesome one night stay but lucky i wasnt there for long, would of wanted to live there lol
