We loved our stay at the Arrow - situated in the stunning outdoors and foliage. The host was incredibly welcoming and the room was divine. With the short walk to the old town centre, it made us easy for us with a wee one. She especially loved the tui birds that frequented the trees on the property. Overall a great stay!

Room facility was perfect and the best clean and tidy, you can have a bath with view of forrest!!! Host, Marie and Dana Hemingway family was very professional and they are ready to support you. Do not hesitate to choose hotels, just stay in The arrow private hotel. It is unforgettable and quiet and comfortable moments with you.

I really enjoyed staying at The Arrow Hotel.
Very private, quiet and peaceful place with amazing forest view of Arrowtown. Hosts were very friendly and recommended us beautiful places to visit around that we were not aware of. It is also situated very close to arrow town village where you could go for very nice dinner and walks.

We stayed in the Birch Superking Suite. Great Facilities! More than suitable for a nice enjoyable evening and short walk to the main town. Our host was friendly, polite and also did us a big favour in advising us not to visit Terra Mia, and after going to Aosta his advice was honestly worth the night of accommodation on it’s own. He then advised us to check out the Dishery for breaky which was also a winner. Thanks again for your hospitality mate, we loved Arrowtown and would thoroughly recommend people make the trip and stay here!

Heavenly place to stay in Arrowtown!!
We are on a lifetime dream trip to New Zealand and this resort has topped our list of favorite memories so far. We loved the Birch suite - immaculately clean and exquisite in design. The large windows in the spacious living area with views of the hills provided wonderful light, yet complete privacy. We were greeted by a lovely young woman who made us feel at home and gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner (the Fork and Tap had a wonderful beer selection which pleased my husband, a beautiful courtyard for outdoor dining and excellent food). The short walk to town along the river was a special treat. The resort was peaceful, secluded and just lovely. We didn’t want to leave!

What a charming place Arrowtown is, and this accommodation is the perfect place to stay! Not only are the owners lovely, helpful people, the accommodation is really nice - modern, spacious and comfortable with fantastic views of the mountains! We were originally only staying one night but after getting here we were lucky enough to be able to book a second night we loved it so much! It's an easy 5 minute walk down the track into the town. For our 10th Wedding anniversary this was a great place to relax, unwind and get to experience the beauty of Arrowtown with great walking tracks and places to eat.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Arrow, beautifully well equipped spacious rooms, plush linen and the most comfortable bed. A stylish bathroom with a big bath to soak in. Fabulous location just a short walk from the town centre. Peaceful location beside the river and with mountain views. Friendly, accommodating hosts. The Croft is a really neat feature, nice and cosy when the fire is going. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

We had the good fortune of staying here after it was recommend to us. We stayed for six magnificent nights while visiting Arrowtown. Tim was a very gracious host, and very attentive, without being at all intrusive. The breakfasts in the secret cupboard were a real treat and a great way to start the day. The location was ideal as it was close to Queenstown and within walking distance of Arrowtown shopping village. We will definitely be staying in this beautiful Hotel when we next visit NZ.

Just had a couple of relaxing days in beautiful Arrowtown, staying at The Arrow Private Hotel. A secluded location but a short walk into town, Tim was a lovely host who offers a welcome drink and a nibbles in the Stone Cottage, which ended up being a couple of hours of great wine , conversation and laughter.
The room is large with a really comfortable bed and sliding bathroom walls, which allows the bath to become part of the bedroom if you so wish! Breakfast is yummy and discreetly delivered into a two way cupboard so as not to disturb. Really liked it and hope we can visit again.

Don't miss a stay at this unique hotel! The suite is contemporary with attention to every detail. Beds are very comfy with unbelievable views from the huge windows. We appreciated each incredibly quiet night we stayed at The Arrow. Breakfast is a great start to the day. Tim went out of his way to help with area history, hiking and dining. If we get to Arrowtown again we would definitely choose to stay here.

Had the most amazing & relaxing time saying in this beautiful Hotel.
The owners are lovely people and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. They went an extra mile to be sure our stay with them was perfect.
Breakfast was superb, the Hotel was gorgeous, the people were all lovely.... Can't wait to stay again!

Definitely upscale, modern, tranquil, quiet and beautiful place to stay. Short 5 minute walk to downtown Arrowtown along the river. Marie, our host, could not have been more helpful and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again. In fact, we'd stay here when visiting Queenstown, as neither of us really like staying in Queenstown itself.

The toitoi suite was the perfect place for 2 adults and 2 children. Spotlessly clean and the included cooked breakfast (delivered each morning to a cupboard through a hatch) was great. The balcony faced north for good sun most of the day. Location was ideal only 5 minutes walk from the main street, with direct access to the river reserve and walking/cycling trails. Beds were very comfortable.

If you ever wanted a few days at a sanctuary away from the rigours of everyday life - then this is it. Right in the heart of Arrowtown (about 700m) from the main street but far enough away to think you're in the country. Great location with views to match. Easy parking and access, and really sunny, spacious, private rooms with all the amenities you need. The breakfast delivery is second to none, and the food is great.
This was a great break away for my wife and I without our 3 children for 3 nights, so really made it special.
Tim is a great host and not intrusive, so we only met on leaving! If you are after a break away (even a romantic one) check out the Arrow. I highly recommend it.
B.
Spacious room with large windows to a tranquil mountain view. Friendly, discreet service offering helpful insight into places to walk, dine and relax. Delicious breakfast. A great place to take "time out" and relax with your favourite person. We'll be back.

We loved our stay at the Arrow, thanks to Tim and his family for making us so welcome. Our modern room was so comfortable with a King size bed and lovely sofa's. Breakfasts .. scrumptious! A great setting too, only a few mites walk from the river which entertained the children for hours!! And just a short walk to the Arrowtown main street with all its shops and restaurants.

Amazing experience in Arrowtown!
We stayed for two nights in this lovely, family run hotel in the Toi Toi Suite with our two young children. In addition to being architecturally stunning - this hotel offered a short, scenic alpine walk to the awesome little town area (check out Fork & Tap for dinner) and LOADS of running/walking/cycling trails. Dana and Marie are wonderful hosts who extended every courtesy including a complimentary breakfast delivered to our room each morning. Detailed and thoughtful this is the kind of hotel you will remember for years.
Worth noting, the kids room is quite small - but immensely comfortable. The radiant heat flooring kept the place cosy. And the views were unbeatable.

My son booked our stay so like much of our NZ Mystery Tour I didn't know what to expect. I had won a Channel 9 Mornings Show Competition and decided to let my son manage the budget.
Arrowtown is a quiet spot after the Queenstown bustle. You will be greeted at the Hotel by Tim who is a wonderful host. Kiwis must have special training as like many places we visited nothing seemed too much trouble. [even a set of dumbbells to do some physio!] Our room was luxurious and well designed giving a feel of privacy and a view out over the local area. Breakfasts were tasty and substantial, Tim cooks a mean omelette! Arrowtown shops, cafes and restaurants are less than 10 minutes walk away with some real standouts like Postmasters' wonderful vension and Patagonia Chocolate's wonderful coffee and milkshakes.
You will find the hotel a perfect base as you explore a magnificent part of the world and Tim a perfect host.
C.
We spent 4 days last month staying at The Arrow. Everything about the place was stunning and Tim made us feel very welcome and recommended some great local restaurants. Looking out the window to the colours of the Autumn trees on the hillside was quite something. Lovely time of the year to be in beautiful Arrowtown which was a very easy 5 min stroll away. Our apartment was very cosy, very modern with everything we needed. Breakfast served through the little door each morning was yummy. We will be back. thanks for everything Tim.
A.
We had our wedding planned in the beautiful garden of The Arrow sadly the weather was terrible so we were forced to change to a church and hall down the road. Despite this Tim and Paulette continued to help us have the most lovely of wedding days. The Arrow is a great mix of modern architecture, wonderful hospitality, luxury amenities and beautiful surroundings.

What a beautiful location, a few minutes walk from Arrowtown strolling down the reserve beside the river. A lovely outlook, the rooms have been so well appointed. Tim made us feel welcome and relaxed. Great to meet other guests over wine and cheese as we watched the sun setting over the river valley. Great dining recommendations from Tim with a wide selection of restaurants in town - the Tapas at L Rumbla were great - stunning desserts! - Easy shuttle ride from Queenstown Airport with our bikes. Tasty breakfast to wrap it up. Stunning, relaxing and can't wait to go back!

Fantastic location as just a very short walk to Arrowtown alongside the river or road. The accommodation was luxurious and the views from our room were breathtaking. The breakfasts delivered each morning via the secret door were mouth watering. Can't thank you enough for our wonderfully relaxing stay and highly recommend to anyone who appreciates top quality accommodation and service.

The best way I can describe The Arrow Private Hotel is Refined Casual Elegance.
From the contemporary and incredibly spacious suites, to the superb "nothing is too much trouble" hosting by Tim, to all the little extras (Aveda amenities, breakfast delivered to your room each morning, a full sized soaking tub), the Arrow is first class but not in a showy kind of way... and that suited us down to the ground.
Peaceful and serene, you have only a leisurely 5 minute walk to so many great restaurants and watering holes, and if you're into exercise then the walking trails are immediately adjacent to the hotel as are several excellent golf courses (within a few minutes drive).
So want to really relax and pamper yourself? Then give the Arrow a try, it's sure to hit the mark.

Our family of four stayed at The Arrow for six nights and had a truly wonderful time. Tim is an awesome host with an incredible attention to detail and desire to make our holiday perfect. We particularly enjoyed the welcome drinks and nibbles, along with a fascinating chat with Tim about the local area, the other business venture he is involved in and the best places to eat. The connecting units were super comfortable and luxurious and Tim was only too happy to help with any request, even down to supplying tools and parts for a minor repair job on our hire car. It was also a pleasure to have access to fast, unlimited broadband - presumably reflecting Tim's IT background. The Arrow is also in a great location, being just a few minutes walk to town, galleries and even the best walk we did, to the top of Feehly Hill, which is literally just down the road. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending The Arrow and we hope to get back there some time in future.

What a nice surprise. Arrived very late on a stormy night after a booking snafu elsewhere, raining cats and dogs when I arrive to be welcomed by Marie in person, directed in the dark and wet to a good parking spot to get protection from the elements, then offered a welcome drink and a chat long after one would expect to receive any welcome at all! The facilities are wonderful and I was only sorry that I was unable to stop to enjoy the sun streaming in the next morning after the storm had abated. All a bit of a rush .... so for now I hope to get to return to properly explore the property and area one day.
Thanks to both Marie and Dana

We stayed at the Arrow for five nights a just loved it. It was spacious enough to be luxurious enough but still felt cosy. It was great to lie in bed and look out at the stunning scenery! We loved getting our breakfast through the little hatch every morning too.

We stayed our last night on the South Island at the Arrow Private Hotel and it turned out a great decision the room was set up perfect. Being invited for drinks and nibbles allowed us to meet other guests and also chat with our host.It is a short walk into Arrowtown along the river where there is a number of brilliant restaurants ( we ate at Safron).
If you are planning to stay in or around Arrowtown we highly recommend the Arrow Private Hotel

I've stayed in luxury accommodations on five continents, and The Arrow sits high atop my list of favorites. Tim has created a collection of absolutely beautiful spaces. Our spotless room featured classy and functional design innovations. Peaceful garden grounds and a path through the cozy woodlands made stepping out for a walk to downtown Arrowtown a pure pleasure. Zipping wifi, warming welcome drinks, breakfast delivered magically via the "secret cupboard" - all details cleverly designed and artfully executed. If you wonder why I'm gushing: I'm a landscape architect and a tech-savvy traveler. Finding a paradise like this anywhere in the world - and especially in my adopted favorite country of New Zealand - is worth sharing about. I hope to return someday in the not-too-distant future...

Lovely suites, in a quiet & pretty setting just a 5 minute walk along the stream to Arrowtown shops & cafes. Loved the 'bath with a view'. Great service. Lockable facilities to store skis, bike etc depending on the time of year. Laundry available if you're planning to be there for a few days.

What a fabulous, chic addition to historic Arrowtown. We loved the setting in a pretty valley, with stunning mountain views. Our suite was incredibly spacious, with luxurious fittings and wonderful, comfortable king-size beds and floor to ceiling windows. And we loved that you can open the bathroom into your suite adding a touch of luxe with a huge double-end bathtub. Sadly we didn't have time to enjoy this but it looked tempting. Not to mention the large double walk-in shower, and the double sinks on the vanity - no fighting over space in this hotel. We were so impressed with the kitchenettes, which were well equipped with all important wine and champagne glasses. Room. Our gourmet breakfast was delivered, piping hot, through our 'secret cupboard'. We could just relax after a morning shower, wrapped in our super bathrobes and enjoy a leisurely breakfast watching the America's Cup. This hotel provides a full Sky package so no problems watching news channels, sport or movies. And there is complimentary Wi-Fi. In the evening were invited to the cute, historic stone cottage for pre-dinner drinks and canapés in front of a roaring log fire. It was a good opportunity to chat with Tim, the very hospital owner of The Arrow. We didn't want to tear ourselves away from the fire but we had plans to visit the new Spanish tapas bar - La Rumbla that was fantastic. It was an easy 5 minute walk through the trees and on through historic Chinese village to the town. Tim thoughtfully provided us with torches to help guide us home after a fabulous dinner. Can highly recommend The Arrow, and it's so close to the ski fields, golf courses and all the adventure that this region has to offer.

Such a lovely property, location, style, design, and experience. Tim and his family have put something really special together here. The suite we stayed in was immaculate and all elements were so well thought out (birch suite). Loved the aesthetic design and style of unit in a modern luxury style with moving walls and dividers from bathroom. Custom breakfast arrives in secret cupboard by entry door. Loved it! Stay here, take a walk into town by the river, and enjoy!

The perfect indulgent weekend - the rooms are beautiful, views fabulous and the area very quiet and private. A short walk down a track to the main street of Arrowtown. Best of all, the service was exceptional - and delightful company. Make sure you take up the suggested breakfast option!

This hotel is what luxury accomodation is all about. Great location, architecture and personalised support.
My favourites were the short walk along the river to arrowtown, breakfast discreetly delivered through a two way locker each morning and the wine and chat with Tim the evening I arrived.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Arrow Private Hotel. Becky who runs the Arrow is an absolute delight and goes out of her way to deliver top notch service and an overall wonderful experience. Thanks Becky, you made the end of our trip!!

We stayed here for almost a week and appreciated the hotel by its attractive secluded location surrounded by beautiful mountains and trees lines. The bed was comfortable.Wifi is free (not always the case through our trip in NZ so this is really appreciated). We got Nespresso coffee machine and good coffee to begin our day with taste. We would rate it 5 star if some services issues haven't occured. The manager has made it gently resolved by communication. We still recommend the hotel.

We had a wonderful peaceful stay at the Arrow Private Hotel. It blends modernist architecture with a lovely natural and historic setting. Warm hospitality and lovely extra touches.
