It's a pretty good hotel that's in a very good place, you can walk anywhere you'd want from there in minutes, if you are going to waeheke and need somewhere to stay before you get on the ferry it's about a 3 minute walk to the wharf, don't trust me on that timing and blame me for being late though. The rooms are great, they have good beds too. The pool is also pretty good too. Overall it's about five stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I had a good stay here. Room was comfortable, clean and modern. Wifi was included and worked well for office collaboration. Friendly front desk folks. Easy check in and check out. Great location.

Ok! Rooms clean and tidy. Nothing special. Room had a connecting door, which was locked. People in room through connecting door very noisy. No view room looked onto alleyway at back of building. No in house food had to go to a nearby caffee for breakfast, not very convenient.

Pros Rooms are really clean and fresh, including the washroom. The morning continental breakfast is delicious and appealing. The gym and pool usage is complimentary. Cons They don't make it clear that whether certain services of theirs is complimentary or chargeable.

Very helpful and welcoming staff. There were a few disturbances in the early hours of the morning close to our room.Like some noisy machine starting.This disturbed our sleep.

Room was nice, clean, large enough and good facilities. The entrance and public areas were very nice. Staff on front counter were pleasant and stored our bags. Overall very happy.

Walking distance to the Viaduct and Skytower. Clean and quiet rooms, good gym and pool area. Enjoyed the stay.

Lovely place to stay, friendly staff, shame the room service wasn't available but understandable at the moment. We got the 3 bedroom apartment with our 4 kids, they loved it too. Would definitely go back!

Clean rooms with good facilities in the perfect location. The view was nothing to write home about, but we weren't staring at a brisk wall either, so I can't complain. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and only too happy to help. I was impressed that when I asked for breakfast recommendations that they pointed us in the direction of an amazing cafe and refrained from recommending the hotel restaurant, which is not what I would have wanted. We were lucky to book while the hotel was on special, but I might have thought it a bit overpriced had we been paying the full rate.

Clean, tidy digs Pity they don't operate the restaurant. They go out of there way to ensure your needs are catered for.

I have only stayed here one night, but it was very pleasant. I liked the location and would consider it on the future. The room was full featured with a stove and washer/dryer. I can't comment on ant of their food services. The 10am checkout time almost caught me off guard.

We enjoyed our stay in this modern apartment hotel. We had a two room suite with a common kitchen sitting area. Well appointed with windows that actually opened. My wife enjoys the fresh air. I had a business meeting in the morning a the hotel was an easily located starting point.

Great location, great bed. Usually stay for 2 to 3 months at a time. Could use some updates, mostly in apartments, where the sofas are very used and in some rooms they're really uncomfortable. Internet is very slow at night. Other than that is a very nice place to stay

Room was lovely. Vallet parking included. Great food. Late checkout option. Great centre of city location, walking distance to most food / drinks. Gave my wife and I a nice little gift for our honeymoon 😊 Would stay again!

My husband and I stayed at the hotel before starting our big adventure. I was pleased with my selection. I've always been extremely happy with the cleanliness of the hotel. Most of the people who work there are very professional. Our every need was met promptly and with such friendliness.

For four days, we enjoyed staying at this hotel. The service was very efficient and comfortable. We could cook the meal in the room. Since the hotel is located in the middle of the city center, we could go anywhere even in the night. Only drawbacks of this hotel are the poor wireless internet service and just one trash can in our room.

Beautiful place. The staff were very helpful. The meals they prepared for us were delicious and even the vegetarian meals looked awesome. The phoenix boardroom was where we held our classes. Just an luxurious place. Very nice

Great apartment hotel right in the heart of the city centre. Close to everything, go anywhere by walking, view of the sky tower too. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment. They provide Cot and high chair for the little one. It is spacious with a small dining area with table and cookery, fridge, microwave and kettle. Reception welcomed us very warmly and looked after our luggage while we wait for the room to be ready. Will stay with them again.

Stayed for two nights and all of the staff were lovely and welcoming. Made the place really feel like a home away from home. My room was great value for money and from now on for all of my stays in Auckland I plan to return.

A modern restaurant with high class. Serves the best beef and lamb fillets and has an amazing grill menu. Don't necessarily have to make a reservation for dining. They do accept credit cards for payment with a surcharge of 1.5 % which really isn't much.

Good clean rooms. Front desk staff are nice/friendly. Very good location in terms of being able to get to lots of restaurants, bars or other activities.

The staff was very friendly upon check-in. They took our bags before the room was ready (way before we were supposed to be able to check in) and delivered them to our rooms for us and then let us know the room was ready. The room is very nice and has a great view.

Cannot beat the location. Centrally located in Auckland. Little dated. But, they are renovating the rooms now. Looking forward to staying once renovated. Front desk and bell desk employees very helpful.

Room wasn't as clean as we expected, bed was very comfortable, WiFi was fast, although limited to 2GB/day, AC doesn't work at all, even if you ask for help, staff was very friendly. Overall, not too bad, would stay again. Thanks!

The we booked a small suite through Airbnb and it was exactly as described but I'm not sure how it compares to the other hotel rooms. The lobby was small but nice and the hotel staff were really warm, welcoming, and helpful. I'd come back just for the service.

Great location with very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are bare-bones, with small bathrooms and limited amenities. They are in the process of a renovation, so they may be nicer afterwards. The free internet is only up to 2GB a day and is extremely unreliable. Don't count on having internet access. A solid 3 star hotel.

I enjoyed my stay here. It was quiet amd peaceful. The room was adequate with the usual hotel room appointments. A tv, a kettle, some basic toiletries like soap and shampoo. There is a gym and a pool available amd the concierge is helpful for basic tourist queries. The airport bus also stops right outside the queen street entrance which is a bonus.

The location is amazing. The staff are amazing. The place is a little dated, but, is still very good to stay This is an edited review, my first one was about the poor internet. However, after the first week and a bit, the staff literally went out of their way to fix the internet. It was actually amazing. By the end, it was completely fixed and the internet was FAST! This changed my stay there. It was complete. I would definitely come back. A staff that go out of their way for their patrons is a staff worth having. Thank you, citylife. I shall recommend you further.

Very well located in the center. The bathrooms are outdated but functional. We could hear people from the next room talking but found a fix with a towel under the connecting door. Finally, how a respectable hotel can add a credit card fee in 2018 ? Who doesn't pay by card ? It remains a decent value for money but I hate those hidden surprises.

Pretty good overall clean and roomy. Good central location and I experienced a quiet and pleasant stay. Having bathrobes is always a nice touch too.

Great location on Queen St. Breakfast was good, though if you're in a rush it's hard to see everything. Bed was lackluster & pillows were horrible. I had a view of the back of a carpark, which was at least quiet.

Staff were so helpful and friendly. They could not do enough for us. Payal the receptionist was always ready to greet us with a friendly smile. So central to all the CBD action, all amenties in house you need. We used Ann for babysitting and she was very funny and reassuring. Perfect for young families. We couldn't fault it at all. Loved our stay, would highly recommend.

The deluxe suite was gorgeous. We had a great sleep & service was great. Highly recommend.

My twin room is on the 17 floor. This hotel is pretty standard for a 4 star hotel. The pool is indoor, next to the gym. The gym is well equipped. My only gripe is that the WiFi is really slow. 12mbps. And you are limited to 2 gb per 24hrs. Don't really expect to do much Internet surfing in your hotel room unless you're willing to pay a premium for faster WiFi.

This hotel has great facilities that showcase it as a premium hotel. However it is located very near to the nightclubs on Queen St and if you are a light sleeper it will be a hard nights sleep. The rooms are well maintained and the staff are very helpful. Wi-Fi deal is not great compared to other hotels.

I’m a big fan of Heritage hotels and CityLife is a part of that chain. I was lucky enough to get a corner apartment which was roomy and comfortable. The popular Bluestone Room is adjacent which means you can get some noisy patrons around closing but it wasn’t a problem.

Room is very clean, and the staff are friendly. Thank you - will be back next time I'm up in Auckland.

AMAZING BREAKFAST! The apple juice tasted like they actually took apples and squeezed them in to the container. It tasted so good (but don't put a muffin in the toaster. It will catch on fire)!

Pretty nice set of apartments in the Auckland CBD. You're a half block away from Queen St and the various shops and stores therein. The entrance is difficult to find if you're new to the city - it's actually on Durham (the cross street) instead of Albert. Units are of a good size; also equipped with washers and dryers in each unit. If you're looking for a central location in Auckland this is a good option.

It’s a bit tired compared with other hotels at a similar price. I had a bit of a whinge about aircon and they fixed it pretty quick. The hotel breakfast continues to be overpriced at $28. Do they know there are cafes nearby?

The Citylife is located very well by CBD on Queen Street, has top quality facilities, bar, cafe, pool and gym. Apartments are good size.
