P.I am past halfway into My MIQ after spending time in Sydney with my family who live there. The staff, security, police and Air Force have been so efficient in looking after us. Love this hotel! M. S.We stayed in an executive suite on the top floor. The suites have two levels within them, making the room(s) large and very comfortable. The upstairs bedroom is particularly spacious, with a comfortable bed and huge bathroom. It has floor to ceiling glass doors that open to a very large private balcony that offers tremendous views of the Auckland skyline and just a peak of water. Others have noted the dated feel of the furniture and they're right about that. I've stayed in other similar properties in the Auckland CBD and the Crowne Plaza isn't alone in this criticism, but they could stand an update. Of genuine concern, though, was the state of cleanliness of the room. A large mound of hair was in the drain of the shower, other loose hairs were found under "clean" drinking glasses. Also, the espresso maker was on the fritz. Though the coffee maker issue is certainly a "first-world problem", the room is marketed as a high-end space and details like this ought to be addressed. The front desk service as well as the baggage assistance was incredibly fast, polite, and responsive. The bags were deposited in the room before we could even finish checking it and we were cheerfully offered a late check out when requested. All in all, I liked my stay here, but think a more thorough scrubbing of the room would be in order.

A. S.I’ll start with the only bad thing I can say about the hotel: I wish the parking was consistently the weekend rate and that it didn’t change, and that it was a private lot/garage. Beyond that I was very impressed with the hotel. I’m not usually a fan of staying in a city center, but the location is amazing. You can walk anywhere, there’s tons of shops and food options. The rooms are some of the best I’ve ever seen in a Crowne Plaza. The bathrooms were great. The staff was wonderful. The wifi was phenomenal. This may sound a bit snobby, but it was also some of the best pampering I’ve ever received as a Spire Elite member. It's day 14 in quarantine and I would like to extend my gratitude to the various teams playing their part with all vigilence & the dedication to ensuring that we as guests are not only maintaining safety measures in quarantine but also that we feel at home, in which I did & I know for a fact quite a few other also.
