T.Me and my family was blessed to have a roof over us. We thank the staff and management team for there awesome hospitality and services and putting up with my children's noise haha. I found the rooms clean and tidy and also the food we all miss its yumm. We miss the happy and fun talks with the staff and management team. They are so amazing people and understanding our situation they all help support us with hard times especially when my car broke down and could not move and I had no way of moving it and I was in hardship at the time, This amazing hotel and management team let my car stay there until I got back on my feet and finally can move it to my own house and still I was in a hard time but now settled in . So grateful for the amazing support that this hotel and staff and management have given me and my family and I assure everyone that I and my family dearly miss this amazing place and stay safe as we in level 4 and wish you all well and I and my family wanna thank you all once again and will come visit you all real soon.
H.We stayed for 3 nights when Auckland went to Level 4 and it was amazing. The hotel staff is very helpful and they are following all the Covid 19 protocol. The hotel spa and pool are closed due to lockdown but their in-house restaurant is open for contactless room service which is very helpful because there are no restaurants open. The reception desk is always helpful if we ask about last minute request. The food in the restaurant is so good and has a big portion. They also have a washer and dryer near the reception which we used, its very easy to operate. You can also buy the detergent powder in the reception.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom suites and its very spacious and clean. We will surely return to stay and experienced their spa and pool.
R.The rooms are very nice small as I have a big family but nice and warm, staff are very polite and friendly.
Downfall and only negative thing I left my wall charger in wall behind a roll out bed I have asked several times if a staff member can check the room even on the last day we left and no one did our stay cost $1500 I was even honest and returned two towels that was mixed up in our washing. All I asked was for someone to take 5 minutes out of thier day to gather my wall charger and no one did.
N.Covid-19 took our School's opportunity to stay at Mt Richmond for the Secondary Schools' Volley Nationals this year and it was a devastating blow. Even so, we highly recommend Mt Richmond GLOBALLY because Michelle Falakoa was amazing! She calculated the best options and worked very quickly to accommodate all 24 of us. She paid attention to what our express requirements were and supported me to cater to the needs of all students and staff. Mt Richmond cares about people and we absolutely want to come back, we have put Mt Richmond at the top of our school accommodation register because that's our INCREDIBLE our experience has been! You guys have left an indelible mark upon our hearts. Nga manaakitanga, from Rotorua!
S.Staff that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and serviced well each day. Bed was a little too soft for my liking but that's just preference. More parking needed for sure.
T.The lady at reception was very welcoming, helpful and gave good directions to get to the room. The room clean and tidy smallish bathroom but shower had good pressure. It was good to see a nice king size bed, but was I fooled it was 2 king singles joined together, so you has the hard plastic piping of the edge of the beds in the middle of the bed, so if you like sleeping in the middle of a bed well your out of luck unless you like pain. The walls are paper thin, unfortunately there was road construction so could hear the vibrating roller like it was right next to me, and my neighbour must have been a heavy sleeper so at midnight when they stopped I could hear him snoring away till morning. So I got very little sleep.

One night stay was OK, but couldn't do a week with that bed
M.This is a really great place for the traveller. I slept in a very comfortable bed. It was during the day. The curtains kept the light out nicely. It was very quiet. I had a great meal from the restaurant then took a dip in the covered pool and spa pool in the bar restaurant area. Really nice staff, highly reccomend.
G.Friendly Staff, convenient location, nice clean room,poor water pressure in the shower though and very hard to adjust temperature, ordered room service and had some of the best lambs shanks I've ever had. Good place to stay.
M.I stayed at Mt Richmond 10 years ago and was very impressed when I returned this year 2020 and seen all the progress and improvements to the Hotel & conference center. I can clearly see how much effort and work has been invested in the Hotel to become the family friendly environment they are today. A warm safe and comfortable place to stay for all their guests is exactly what they deliver. They do not tolerate disruption or domestic violence of any sort on their premises and when you’re staying with young children that is exactly what I expect from the hotel management. My Richmond welcome all people from all backgrounds. Their food is great. Service is exceptional and the staff still greet customers and clients by first name as if they’ve known us their whole life. I love coming back to Mt Richmond and I congratulate all the staff and the owners for providing guests like me with affordable comfortable and a safe environment to stay at. Thank you!

H.My family & I have been guests for 6 weeks. Staff are very friendly. Our rooms which are ajoined catered to our needs. I liked that everything is nice & clean. Parking is sometimes unavailable, because it's a Function Venue it's to be expected now & then, I park down the bottom & after the function I bring my car back up to the top parking. We have enjoyed our stay & I highly recommend staying here.

D.Stayed there for one night with my family. Check in was good. Room was good apart from a noisy air con even when it was off.
The reason this stay was just okay is that there was a function on the premises from check in time to about midnight. To be fair they emailed me a couple of days prior to warn me this was the case and that they will monitor the noise and that it would be finished by 11PM (It actually went past midnight and was quite loud.)
But what they failed to warn us about was that the pool was not open for guests as it was being used for this function. We only found out when we went to go to the pool with our children and found the function was in full swing at the pool. I went to the reception to confirm this.
So we had three upset children who were really looking forward to a swim after a long hot day. They should of told us about the pool closure in that email. I booked this hotel specifically because it had a pool and to not be able to use it was very dissapointing. In the end we looked on google and there was an aquatic centre 4 minutes away by car with free entry which was awesome. They could suggest this in their warning emails in future. So what could of been an awesome stay was marred by this issue.
K.Nice place to stay short term. Some maintenance could go a long way to make this place a lot better. Our bathroom was a lovely size however lacked any storage or hooks to hang anything on. Our aircon unit made a dripping noise all night long which made it difficult to sleep. Nice size beds, has netflix available which was great. Kids loved the pool and spa but like a lot of areas needs some good maintenance. Overall good value stay just needs some maintenance really to get a 4star.
C.I am well pleased with the assistance we received from a lady named Mere. She did an excellent job at setting up a reserved room and dinner for friends of mine who had just got married. Her communication was very clear and informative. 💯

L.Gorgeous place! Amazing food. Awkward that youre dining right beside spa and pool. Rather cramped restaurant. Suggest room service for meals. Room was spacious, bed was too firm for me. Rooms are not sound proof so if you're a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend. Mould in corners of room and spillage on walls not cleaned previously. After first morning cleaning, cloth was left on bedside table.

V.Friendly staff. Car parking is available but the spaces are a bit tight. We had a family unit with two rooms and a single bathroom. The rooms are of adequate size but don't leave too much room for large suitcases. The beds were comfortable. A bit disappointed with the bathroom as it had a sliding door which could not be locked. Also after closing the sliding door it left enough space between the door frame and the door to see who's sitting on the toilet seat. We were there for a single night so it didn't bother much also we realised this after unpacking a bit of our stuff 😊. The hotel has a pool and a cafe. Didn't use either so unable to comment.
T.We did not stay in any of the rooms but used one of the function rooms for my nana's birthday celebration. From the weeks leading up to the day and on the actual day the GM was the best. Listening to our needs and working within our budget my nanas day was a huge success. From decorations to the food and the staff that worked on the day it was amazing. Thank you so much to the team and GM for allowing us to use your venue and for making that day a memorable one. Family had nothing but good things to say.. Highly recommended for events.
A.The staff members were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and had all the basic essentials (except shower gel) but could do with a good paint job. Comfy bed. The hotel is situated right next to a busy road so had road noise for most of the night. The buffet breakfast was not great and certainly not worth the price.
V.Staff were friendly. But mostly to the amazing waitress on the Friday night 31/1 we were there. Big ups to her she was awesome the hotel should be proud to have a staff member like her.
Your able to hear everything in other rooms an the hallway. Which is a tad annoying but u get over it.
The main thing that we hated was the crowd that was hanging out in the gaming room & carpark. Hotel can’t be oblivious that these people are doing drug deals in their carpark. We saw this happen 4 times while we waited to check in. Finally when we were leaving to catch our flight the whole upstairs hallway smelled of cigarettes an the people responsible no care whatsoever as we could see them smoking in their room from the carpark.
c.Well what can’t i say about this place. We had to bring my sisters wedding forward due to a family illness and we had 8 days to plan it. Mt Richmond was contacted straight away and from that first contact they were awesome. Michelle was amazing at providing us with the assurance we needed that everything was going to go smoothly and it did. She was amazing and although the 8 days were hectic she was there every step even when I contacted her at anytime of the day asking questions. The rooms were organised and everything we needed was catered for. At the last minute we had to change some rooms around and Michelle sorted it immediately. The team at mt Richmond were great. The food was delicious and everything was beautiful. I can’t thank you enough for everything.

g.I can not thank the staff enough you should be very pleased with yourself I had my wedding there 20.04.19 and right from the beginning I had no complaints. I planned it in 9 days and it all went exactly how I imagined. The place is beautiful for a wedding I would recommend to everyone and they do everything for such a small price. R.Very friendly and helpful staff. Room very clean. New bathroom. Very comfortable beddings and mattresses. Crisp white beddings!!! Very good complementary continental breakfast. Servings of dinner are very generous. Spa is right next to the pool which is right next to the restaurant...pool and spa too exposed for my liking but others may prefer it that way. Supply of fresh milk for tea, coffee or hot chocolate would be great!!! All in all, definitely good value!

L.Michelle and her team hosted my daughters 2nd Birthday and they did not come to disappoint. From the decorations to the service they were AMAZING 🙌🏾 Best service so far in terms of parties and the decorations were exactly how I wanted. The food was heaven 😻 I went in our first meeting with a budget and they helped me meet my budget and got more out of the budget too. If you want to have a birthday party or any event, Michelle and her team are the best people to look at 🙌🏾
E.We had a pre-Christmas dinner outside by the pool area and it was laid out so beautifully the decorations, table seating was so lovely too for 23 adults and 19 children. The children enjoyed a swim before dinner . It was just a lovely way to catch up with family, the ambience and the staff Shai, Ana and our beautiful niece Cherish who all looked after us so well sorry I didn't know the chefs names. The food was so delicious I loved my salmon. I thought the ticket ticking menu with name was a great idea and made it easier to pay that way at the end. Thanks to Michelle Falakoa Events manager for setting it all up for us made it very simple and hassle free. Thanks once again.

Go for the $39/ 3 course meal on Friday and Saturday nights. The Sirloin Steak meal is big. The portions are generous for all the starters, mains and desserts. A well kept secret....Oops did I just reveal the secret.....
T.The room was a bit small. To top it off we had the pleasure of someone else's long hairs on the floor. Staff was so kind even assisting me to carry the luggage for me when I checked out. There was room for a bed and that's about all. Very friendly and helpful.

L.Good for an overnight stay. $6 uber to the nearest station. We had a weird red bug in our bathroom that we had to remove but otherwise the place was clean and the bed was comfortable.

L.We got Married at Mt Richmond Hotel , we stayed the Friday Night and Saturday our Wedding night, we got married in the Vineyard Room , which was lovely and accomodated all our needs for our Small wedding ceremony with family , Michelle , Brie , Luiz were so lovely and went above and beyond to help us , they set up the room for the ceremony beautifully, we didnt want for anything , the food was beautiful , it truly felt like they were part of our family, they all knew there Roles , everyone was friendly and polite, We all felt relaxed and in great hands , a big thankyou to everyone involved with our special day , a big thankyou to the cleaning staff also very efficient and get the job done , we will be back forsure ! sitting out by the pool area you feel like your on vacation its like your in another world, relaxing and welcoming , Thankyou : )

M.Nice enough but a bit tired. Avoid the street front rooms, they can be very noisy. Take air plugs. Be warned if you have bags. There is no lift. The food is reasonable.
T.For a business trip it is conveniently positioned. Charge $40 each way, which is cheaper than an unbooked taxi. The heater need to wait half an hour into order to get from heat so very frustrated as u can imagine but even after the heat the heater perfor***ce is very very bad.
M.Service is good and all worker trying hard to help. Room is in good shape, really satisfied pay for this hotel. Will come again if got another chance.

W.15mins drive to Auckland centre, room in used condition require some make over, no queen size bed, queen size bed make up from two single bed. Parking can be crowded at night.
