Lovely place run by Lovely people. Nice and clean. Perfect location close to everywhere we wanted to go. And very reasonable price. We have enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Run by two wonderful kiwis this place is a gem right in the middle of ponsonby near great restaurants and bars. Super clean. Beautiful looked after garden, kitchen and living room. Rob did everything to make my stay very pleasant and helped me with stuff I had to sort out. Loved it!!!

Awesome place to stay right in the heart of Ponsonby, with shops and restaurants a few steps away. And only a short drive into Auckland CBD, yet this place is so quiet. We had a little room at the back with private bathroom, garden, and balcony with table and chairs to enjoy your wine in peace and quiet. The staff are so friendly and warmly welcomed us - it was like coming home.

Great location, bedroom quaint with old fireplace and beautiful bedlinen. Spotlessly clean with very welcoming hosts. Much nicer room than many hotels ivestayed in. Would happily stay again.

Enjoyed every minute of our stay. The review by Mel K is inaccurate. While the fire alarm did go off (accidentally) it was quickly resolved. Jill and Jen are brilliant hosts. The place was clean, well equipped, great internet, beautiful vibe and close to everything central Auckland. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

Ponsonby Manor is my go to when staying in Auckland. As a woman travelling alone I feel very safe here. The hosts Jill, Rob and Jenny are all very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area and greater Auckland. The rooms I have stayed in have always been spotlessly clean, they are well appointed with comfy beds. I can't recommend Ponsonby Manor highly enough.

Fabulous spot in a great location. We had the wee cottage style room separate from the manor. It was great. Super comfy bed, clean and a cute wee garden right out side our door. Jill was just lovely. Restaurants and shipping a short stroll away. We've stayed in Auckland many times and this was by far our best visit as there was so much at our doorstep without all the tourists you get in the city.

Amazing place, location that cant be beat & great hosts. clean well appointed rooms and a car park on Ponsonby road!! will be coming back to this place on our next visit for sure

Centrally located in a great area amongst wonderful restaurants. The accomodation was in a besutiful old manor house and was clean, comfortable and the hosts were friendly and very welcoming. We accidentally left a vital piece of luggage in my room (namely my pillow) after we vacated and left Auckland and the hosts promptly posted it on to Wellington for me to collect on my travels 10 out of 10

Absolutely loved the beautifully presented cottage was very clean well serviced, comfortable, cosy and great value for money plus considering the busy location was nice and quite. Was very handy to the local cafes and restaurants. Highly recommend Noel

I really enjoyed my stay at the Ponsonby Manor! Jill and Rob are really welcoming, helpful and kind hosts!! The room was super clean, nice and with a beautiful view of the city. The bed and the pillows are really comfortable and the place is really quite so you'll sleep well for sure! They give you complimentary shampoo, conditioner, soap...everything natural! And we loved having free tea and coffee in the room, there's nothing better than having a warm cup of tea after a long day exploring the city! The manor itself is lovely, clean, warm and beautiful. The kitchen is very well equipped and outside there's even a bbq to use in summer. They have a beautiful garden (even with a banana tree!) and it doesn't seem to be in one of NZ biggest cities! The parking is free, which is a great thing in Auckland. Ponsonby it's a really nice place where to stay as there are so many nice cafès and restaurants in a walking distance! The bus stop is right in front of the manor but you can get in the city center with an easy 20 min walk! Well, they say that is a "Home away from home" and that's true! I would highly recommend it!

Jill was an amazing host. The Manor is friendly and divine. I will be recommending to friends to stay here when in Auckland. The room was small but had all you really needed. The location is fantastic.

Great place to stay in Auckland. Rooms have everything you need. You'll get a great welcome from Gill and Rob who can provide all sorts of help and advice. Large common kitchen and outdoor BBQ means you can even cook Christmas dinner in comfort. A social place to meet fellow travellers. Located in the lively, slightly retro and unique Ponsonby district there is a lot going on with plenty of non-chain shops cafes and restaurants. It's about a 25 minute walk into CBD although a harder walk in the sun back up the hill to get back. It is on the InnerLink bus route so easy to get anywhere.

Great location, and great hosts. The room was clean and comfortable with a nicer selection of toiletries. I've star is lost because the room was very small and it was difficult even to find space to open our suitcases.

Beautiful well maintained old Manor. Owners are very easy going and helpful. Clean, comfortable and walking distance to plenty of restaurants.

Fantastic guest house with a lively garden and kitchen. Right in the center of Ponsonby with tons of dining and shopping options. Our view had a great view of downtown Auckland and several rooms have balconies. Would recommend the guest house to anyone.

Clean accommodation and facilities. If you end up staying in the room at the front of the house, there is no security. The gated entrance was open for the two days we stayed there and the windows open fully for people to enter at their leisure. The person running the place was unable to provide my 2 year old son with a cot to sleep in and suggested he sleep in the bunk bed because he'll have to sleep in a big bed one day anyway. This was after we told her that our son fell out of the bed in the night because he is simply too young to sleep in a big bed. Not impressed with the opinions on how to raise our son and not very accommodating to babies and toddlers.

Great stay before our flight back home. Host is a sweetheart, very helpful and her dog Max was adorable. 10/10 would recommend!

First night in New Zealand, fabulous place to rest up after long flight. Owner is brilliant. Location is as good as it gets. Lovely places to eat and shop close by.

Beautiful Colonial-style Guest House with a prime location. A very warm, cozy appeal featuring all modern amenities - WiFi, Kettle, Laundry facilities, Toiletries, BBQ, TV etc. The owners( Jill & Rob) are very welcoming, and know all the right places to eat(you can cook for yourself at the Manor if you prefer)! Unlike other B&Bs, they offer fresh sheets and towels everyday. Parking spaces at the Church next-door.

Beautiful rooms, lovely peaceful setting, quiet space for working, respectful owners - I really enjoyed and appreciated the hospitality of the Ponsonby Manor, and next time I need to stay in Auckland I will be rebooking.

I was very happy staying here for 3 nights whilst moving from Auckland to Northland. Comfortable and peaceful while I was here.

I love this place we are on our 2 nd visit but have been in 3 different rooms all fabulous xx busy on Sunday when church is on be patient with parking. Wonderful hosts the bus is easy to use into the city and very frequent.

Lovely accommodation with a great host, in a very nice area not far from the center. Better option than any hotel in the city if you want to relax a little bit.

Room 10 is quite small no good if you are a larger person or intending to spend time in the room, the bed doubles as your luggage rack ...otherwise nice place to stay.
