D.Coming into my last day in MIQ. Just wanted to thank all of the hotel staff for their care and help with my stay. Food and meals were excellent, and they often went above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable. Comfy beds, clean rooms with great facilities.
R.I was in MIQ for 10 days from January 30th. I just couldn't fault anything about my stay there. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Staff and DF personnel were fantastic.
C.Day 6 of my 7 day MIQ stay and I wanted to leave this review for the next fortunate group who find themselves wading through airport security eagerly trying to find out which MIQ hotel they'll be shipped off to.
If you're lucky enough to find yourself on a Sudima bus here's what you can expect.
1) Great food - better than I've experienced in quarantine at the Pullman NZ and in Hong Kong - you gon' get thiccc (three c's)
2) Warm, quiet and hygienic rooms - Honestly pretty lavish
3) Decent outdoor area and $7 bottled beers (Only thing better would be if you could drink the beers in the outdoor area, but yeah COVID)
4) Super friendly staff - from the security team, to the hotel team, to the nurses, everyone is an absolute pleasure to interact with. THANK YOU!
I've heard that some of the nurses have copped it from people staying here at the moment, which is what inspired this review - sure it's not ideal you are in quarantine, but you've got seven days and you're a hell of a lot luckier than the other 30K NZers who aren't home for Xmas -the staff here are doing YOU a favour so pull your head in and don't be a knob.

C.I stayed here in Quarantine last year. The room was exceptionally clean, the food was great and plentiful. Nothing was any trouble for the staff. We were given a large bottle of water every second day, we could get our bathroom supplies about every 3rd day. i was also very appreciative of being able to go outside and walk around the carpark. My room over looked the car park so I faced west and enjoyed sunsets. i was very happy there and would be pleased to be able to do quarantine there again, any time. i cannot fault it.
R.I just want to thank the whole team who take care of us guests during managed isolation. I am on Day 13, room 603 and due to leave tomorrow. Very well organised from the moment I arrived. My room is spacious, clean and very comfortable and good free WiFi. I was very fortunate that after my first negative test result up until my last covid test I had access to the car park for fresh air and exercise, such a luxury as I don't think all MIQ facilities have this.
Also great food which was varied, I never had the same meal twice. You certainly don't starve as the portions are generous and ontop of you 3 meals a day there are also some snacks. I literally couldn't eat it all, but guess they cater for the larger appetites. If I had one negative comment that would be that not all meals were delivered hot, some were a bit tepid but I guess when you are delivering to so many rooms it can prove problematic sometimes.
Reception and room service staff were all very friendly. Ontop of this health team/nurses, army, navy, police and security do a fantastic job.
I consider myself very lucky to have been allocated a room here and just want to thank everyone for taking care of me. Keep up the excellent work and stay safe. Thank you 😊
L.Beautiful hotel to stay for a night out away from kiddos 😉 had a pleasant stay with the hubby after a night out at the nearby Toby's Inn for a family Social. Our room was beautiful with nice views and a great big comfy bed. Didn't get to have a swim in the pool but that's okay maybe next time. Everything here is really nice and beautiful 😊
V.Very happy with check in service, very helpful employees everywhere. Great to have a guest laundry, main reason I booked this hotel between flights, stayed 2 nights. Had to pay for shuttle, but very convenient as pick up at door regular schedule. Shopping area only 30 minutes walk away, so very convenient. Would definitely stay again. Would have been 5 star but pool area was filthy dirty, food, dirt covering everything.

The service was great. Most of the amenities were not available due to Covid-19. Hotel arranged a park kind of thing for children to play and walk.

I want to personally thank to the chef who has consistently been on phone with my mother she arrived from dubai and during her 14days isolation, being senior citizen and having language barrier all her food requirements were looked after well.Highly appreciated!From a daughter who was well worried about her mother well-being.
s.Staff were bright, friendly and professional. They were so accomidating of my circumstances and offered many allowances such as free late check. Wonderful hotel with great staff. Also do yourself a favour and get the night owl wedges through room service. Best I've ever had!
T.Great place to stay with friendly helpful staff. The food is fantastic and the rooms comfortable. Everyone tries to accommodate you to the best of their ability and make your stay an enjoyable one.
It does take awhile for the rooms to be made up each day, in comparison with other hotels, but this is somewhat if an inconvenience rather than a huge issue.
Fortunately the smiling staff do what they can to help. A great place to stay, handy to the airport and easy to get to amenities.

Service was great. Room was so clean. Absolutely loved the food provided.
J.Our accommodation was provided during an airline disruption. The hotel had a "Cared-for" feel, with little sign of the grimy little corners so often seen. Our room felt like it had recently been refurbished, and lacked nothing. Polite, helpful staff topped off a pleasant experience... I experienced the amazing flavours of India with authentic regional menus created by Head Chef Davinder Singh. From the mouth-watering tastes of the North, exotic delights of the South and exquisite flavours from East to West.

Yes I stayed 3 nights and this was a surprise experience for each night. Have added photos. Taste sensations each night. Above and beyond expectations. Will be lucky to get a table next year!
R.Great rooms and good service. Received complimentary pickup and drop as well. Continental breakfast slightly pricier, but goes with the location i guess. Hotel has good options in hot breakfast as well. Located near airport and connected by the hotel airport yellow shuttle, which runs every 20-25 minutes. Overall had a nice experience
S.Excellent menu - not extensive so easy to choose from and all delicious! Rooms are new and clean although the Aircon units above the beds could do with some spring cleaning. Would happily stay here again.
E.Attended a conference at the hotel. The conference facilities were really nice and clean with good sound and video capabilities so we could hear and see the speakers easily. It is also conveniently close to the airport so if you have quests traveling in, I would give good consideration to using this venue.

N.Everything you'd expect from a big hotel chain like Sudima. The hotel was well appointed and we enjoyed a swim in the pool. Bed was too soft, but that's personal preference. Food pricey, but not unusually high for a four star hotel.
Its proximity to the airport and shops is excellent.
D.I have been here two times and try to book in when in Auckland if I can. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant serves well prepared and generally good size evening meals and a generous full breakfast menu. Service from the team here has always been attentive. I recommend you try this hoteĺ when in Auckland NZ.
M.Staff at the front desk were very hospitable and obliging. Wheelchair access was more than adequate for our needs. We had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to return. Thank you Sudima for making us feel welcome.

Double glazed windows. Shower pressure is top notch. Bathrooms are nice. Views are meh . Depends which room you have really. Breakfast was good. Lots to choice from. Overall good stay and service

K.Sudima is a great hotel. It has 2 room categories, executive king (floor 6) and superior twin (floors 1 - 5).double glazed even though not on flight path so very quiet. Nice clean decor, carbon neutral, free shuttle to the airport. Small and large meeting rooms so handy for people flying in and out, no need to brave the traffic.
A.Lovely hotel with big room, comfy beds and very clean. Great service whne check in and out, the receptionist helped me by giving the foc fares for the early morning shuttle to the Airport. Will definitely back to stay.
s.Enjoyed a Hindu ring ceremony here. Hotel is well maintained and clean. Food was AMAZING & catered for all with vegetarian options equally amazing. Wait staff were friendly & always kept you topped up with the finger foods as well as consistently making sure the tables were cleared from used dishes/cutlery & empty bottles.

m.If you need accommodation near to the airport then this is a pretty good spot. Clean, tidy rooms, quiet location and helpful staff. It's still a half hour walk to the airport or 5 to ten minutes by car. There is an airport shuttle bus that passes through every half hour or so. Not much else nearby. Small gym and a pool downstairs.
F.Very friendly staff. Love the firm bed and the quietness of the room. Would prefer a walk-in shower instead of the tub, but that's just a personal preference. Very reasonably priced. Conveniently located near the airport and the business park where our offices are located.
The food in the restaurant is surprisingly good. Breakfast could use some tomato and cucumber, but that is just me. Will happily stay here again.

E.Nice standard hotel. Restaurant open until 10pm but we were too tired to try it this time, looked nice though. Room is a little outdated; there were three power outputs, one of which had their clock radio plugged in. This and The Ibis are the best Airport Hotels.

Arrived and was happy I could check in whatever time because reception is 24/7 which is awesome! I became annoyed when I had to pay $300 deposit, I forgot my credit card with my husband who was flying in 2 days after and had only $400 on me cash, with nowhere else to go and 1 child who is exhausted it kind of gets scary because the guy serving us had no sympathy at all so I gave in and had just budgeted $100 until hubby flew in. We had the superior room and wish there was a fridge and microwave but I should've done my research more. The facilities were great pool and gym me and my son enjoyed both as that was where we were all day.
Food, when hubby came we had breakfast down in the restaurant next to the lobby, it was a buffet and cost us $70 for two adults and one child it was amazing so much varieties for breakfast choices I very much enjoyed it. Lunch is what I had with just me and my son save your money and go McDonald's it was too expensive and no offence not worth it food was not nice for lunch not enough choices for the little ones either. For dinner I ordered butter chicken with a glass of juice and had it room services to our room for a extra $5, manukau mall has better butter chicken for $15.00 combo so save your money if you think about ordering the butter chicken altogether that dinner was $40.00 go elsewhere!
Service was great the cleaners did awesome everyday and I very much enjoyed how they would come back when my 5 year old slept in. Very clean nice looking rooms. No smoking balconies only smoking area is outside which I loved as a non smoker. Clean changing rooms for pool and gym.

It had an upmarket vibe, was very clean and we received complementary bottled water and Chocolate! The room was lovely and modern, shower pressure was great, robes were fluffy and the eggs Benedict was devine. The barista coffee was great too. We will be back!
V.The Sudima is one of the very few hotels which, in all its sophistication and modernness, actually makes you feel like you're at a home away from home. Located away from the hustle and bustle of town, you will never have to pay or look for a parking. This was a dream for us. Being parents staying with three children under 5, the Sudima accommodates to even the littlest of guests, gifting our kids with the cutest Sudima teddy bears which they all loved. The pool was a dream - simple and consistent depth - which enabled us to accompany the kids in their floaters while enjoying also. It was very clean every time we swam and towels and relaxing chairs were always available. We had the privilege of enjoying breakfast and dinner on both nights we stayed and being a self- proclaimed "foodie", I cannot stress enough the quality and value of their food... from the Eggs Benedict that I finished by licking off the plate and dreamt of for nights after and the Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli with smoked cheddar sauce that literally topped ANY pasta dish I have EVER had (which, trust me, is many), to the pancakes that my kids could not get enough of (and were complimentary may I add) and the chicken tenders they finished for dinner. I won't list everything the rest of the family had - there's not enough room and no time for all the compliments it got. But it is definitely the new favorite and we highly recommend especially for families as they have something for everyone. The room was modern, clean and finely detailed. The bed looked fresh and well-made and smelled equally so. The bathroom was ACTUALLY clean and it was apparent that the staff had cleaned to a high standard and not for the sake of a dollar. Their housekeeping staff were so lovely as we passed them in the halls, acknowledging us and making us feel like they were there to look after us and we appreciated that. This must also be said for all the staff we came across - from the restaurant to reception to the porters - we were thoroughly looked after and we felt that from the moment of arrival until the morning we checked out.
The Sudima was not just a hotel for us but an EXPERIENCE, one that we are so happy we had for those two nights. Clealy, this hotel excepts no less than the highest standard of quality whether it's customer service or food or cleanliness.
G.The room was tidy and had a modern layout. Took a bit longer to check in than a co-worker of mine even though we were under the same corporate booking. The hotel is a few minutes drive from the airport and had all the expected accommodations including free WiFi, gym, and hotel restaurant. Overall a good place to stay if access to the airport and surrounding area is what you need.
G.A good deal online was had to stay at the Sudima Hotel when looking for a place to stay for a night close to the airport; with breakfast included, I was feeling confident of my choice prior to arrival.
It is as the name suggests very handy to the airport; to get there from the terminal isn’t feasible however a handy yellow bus service will get you to the doorstep for just $6NZD a trip. Tickets are bought from a machine right outside the terminal doors which accept coins or card transactions. Just be warned that the Sudima seems to be the last stop on the onerous trip in the Auckland traffic, so after stopping at 4 other hotels first be prepared for a good 20-25min trip to reach Sudima.
The hotel is excellent, and I was more than happy with my choice of accommodation. Greeted warmly at the front desk, it’s the very ideal of a modern travellers hotel. Spacious and clean applies not only to the lobby facilities but also the room. Very comfortable bed, power-point just where I needed it for charging the phone, but surprisingly no microwave or mini-bar. Room service menu seemed decent.
Stopping for breakfast before departure, a very decent buffet selection on hand with pleasing offerings and amicable staff. I’m only surprised that nobody seemed bothered with clearing of tables once guests had left, the dirty crockery lingering.
While not as close as some other airport hotels, there is definitely enough quality in the Sudima to consider booking for travel again.

L.Its a lovely hotel. Modern, Nice Rooms clean and comfortable. Only 2 things prevent it from getting 5 stars. Free airport shuttle. If i did not have a rental car i would not stay here. Too far to walk and why pay for a bus to drive you 2kms. The airconditioning could not be controlled. The room was super warm at night but eventually cooled down.
G.Came here for a work function and stayed a couple of nights. Probably one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. Convenient location and awesome buffet breakfast! Really clean and although I didn't go in the pool it was cool to know it was available. The restaurant here was also top notch :) would absolutely reccomend.
R.The place is nice and clean and would be deserving of more stars except that the night I stayed they were near full capacity so the only room available was $478 for the night. For that money I was expecting a very upmarket room, however it was only a standard room with two queen beds. It would appear that they took advantage of the fact that rooms were scarce in the area.
V.Choose Sudima! We had an awesome day after an exhausting flight. We relaxed at the pool, had very good coffee and a very good nap in the cozy bed. Very nice and clean room, with a Waterheater for some tea or coffee! Very helpful and nice service at reception and restaurant. Breakfast was very good! I really liked the fresh fruits and the Coice of continental breakfast.
A.This place is a cheap knock-off of a 4 or even 3 star hotel. No fridges (no minibar) in the rooms, very minimal amenities and cheap construction all round. Staff are accommodating of course but for the price we would have rather stayed at a more established hotel knowing the quality would be there. For example no toothpaste nor cotton ear buds in bathroom. That said their pillow selection service was great and unique & the breakfast was on par with other 4 stars.
B.Facilities were nice and clean with daily turn down service. Pillows were terrible (pillow menu available albeit with no guide on how to order) and needs an update in terms of TVs. Food here was great! Staff were very friendly and hospitable.
S.Comfortable hotel near Auckland airport, breakfast is reasonable however dinner menu is limited with not many options. The lamb shank is outstanding however if you want a real taste sensation , order the Pork Belly. Staff are also very helpful and friendly.
K.I stayed at Sudima hotel for a conference that was held there along with my family. The service was excellent and staff are warm, courteous and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food is excellent too. We absolutely loved our stay there and if i have to go to Auckland Sudima would be my first choice hotel to stay. Highly recommended!

G.This is an airport, good for spending a night or two as part of your travel plans. However, (1) despite its close proximity to Auckland Airport it has no airport shuttle, and (2) the hotel is situated in the middle of an unattractive warehouse and industrial area with no easy, walkable access to anything else. There is only one restaurant at the hotel, and no shop where you might buy sundries or bottled water. You can take the Yellow Bus to the airport (takes longer coming from the airport than going back to it) or the KiwiGoa, a kind of motorized rickshaw with a baggage trailer. Sudima's rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable.
T.The service was good. We had dinner already upon arriving so didnt get to check that out but Im guessing its nice as the breakfast was very good. All and all, just an excellent hotel and I highly recommend it, and am looking forward to my next stay.

T.We thought we would stay there the night as we had to return a car there outside of our rentals hours then we could sleep in an extra hour to catch our plane back to Melbourne. The porridge was nice and my husband enjoyed the scrambled eggs. At a reasonable rate.
T.All good value for money to meet my wife who flew in from London. We phoned Sudima and they sent a courtesy shuttle to pick us up which was fantastic. Its good to stick on the rates when firstly booked online which will be easier for the guest to keep control and monitor spending instead of unexpected extra cost when checked out.
T.We received a free upgrade and an adjoining room for our boys. Staff were very helpful in organising us a non-corporate taxi to take us ***** the Auckland waterfront in the area of Mission Beach. The staff we nice on arrival and offered to help with our luggage. Fairly New building.
L.I stayed here for one night after a long trip aound NZ and before my flight out. Hotel was okay. There is some wear in the rooms and some of the reception staff needs training.
Don't believe what the website says about an airport shuttle. When I called the hotel they first told me to go to one place for the shuttle, then another and then a third place before they admitted there was no shuttle and I should take the bus. They were very sorry for the miscommunication, but it was still poor service on their part.
The hotel is also the VERY LAST stop on the yellow bus route.
K.Nice hotel, quite classy. Good food in restaurant..bit pricey though. Happy about the bath in the room, even better with the bottle of pinot we bought from the bar.
We did wish the location was closer to the supermarket/shops etc.
Negatives; I did request a newspaper, but that didn't show up. Also when I went to check out I discovered my friend and I had to pay for the shuttle bus to airport when it had stated in my wotif booking FREE airport transfers.

E.Very beautiful presentation. We had drinks at the lounge. My friend had to wait for drinks at the counter which took forever to be served. For the second round, we had to clear the table for ourselves to have space no one cleaned for us. Two drinks on and a good evening spoiled. We left for Holiday Inn and felt like we'd entered heaven. What a wasted gem. .... The presentation is Hilton class but the service is crap. .....very disappointing. :-(

I.Though booking for a conference and trying to utilise the discount code was a nightmare over the phone, my stay was very pleasant and staff were very friendly & helpful despite the bed pillows being ridiculously thin (I tried to use a pile of 4 & still slept badly) so I wish I'd taken advantage of the option to order a 'special' pillow (lavendar/memory foam/tri pillow etc). My only other complaint would be that the thermostat in the room could not be controlled and it got cold later in the evening. The room was very clean and tidy and meals and drinks were delicious. The convenience of the yellow bus to & from the airport was appreciated and removed any stress for transport. Highly recommended.
T.Reasonably nice place to stay before an early flight out of Auckland. Unfortunately there were some stains on duvet cover and dinner was pretty average, dining room felt a bit like a cafeteria. All in all not bad but not great.

T.Nice and easy location to the airport. Room lived up to the name and was nice and clean. The breakfast however left room for improvement. The big breakfast was a bit standard, and the juice was off.
T.We stayed here for a few hours as it is close to the airport and motor home pick up. All the staff we came across from the cleaning crew to the ***ager were very friendly and helpful. The public areas of the hotel were a lot cooler than our room.

T.After traveling nearly a month in AU and NZ, we wanted and needed a good hotel to rest and relax before heading to our next location. Bed was extremely comfy. As a business person I would have loved to have a place to charge my cell phone next to my bed.
M.Stayed here one night en route to Australia. Was conveniently located close to airport. Made the terrible decision to dine in the restaurant; 5-star prices, Cobb and Co quality food. Neither of us bothered half finishing or meals. They offered us free desserts but the evening had lost its mojo. Retreating to our room we struggled to sleep as it was so dry; windows don't open, and they pump in that fake air. The whole place was very presentable and tidy. Overall, not bad, but not great either.

R.The restaurant was top-notch - polenta fries, sirloin steak, shrimp and even the junior burger (kids menu) were all very well executed. Breakfast was also good, especially the poached eggs.

A.The Sudima is a pretty solid option for accommodation near the Airport. Have stayed there a lot over the years with work and the rooms have always had the basics, have been clean and the rest of the facilities in line with what you would expect.
S.Staff didn't look happy ...it wasn't close to anything but the airport...room service didn't leave towels at door as we just got off a 34 hour flight ...hotels should ask guest what can we do for you to make your stay 5 star breakfast was great ...staff were stand offish .

C.We hope your hotel would have your own shuttle service like Jet Park hotel does. We wouldn't have to wait for the whole hour today waited outside the airport for the yellow bus to show up. It is quite confusing for the first time visitor like us.

F.Nice place to stay. It's fairly close to the airport, at around 2.5km. One problem I had is that there aren't any shops nor places to eat nearby except for the hotel restaurant. The nearest shop is about 2 km away.

M.Dinning room meals expensive but there is no other option. Only 1 GB of internet allowed free. Shuttle to airport can be free or $6. Rooms very comfortable.

B.Convenient and high standard hotel accomodation near the airport. Missing a bit of specialness in the modern decor but everything is functional at a good standard.
You will need to get a taxi or drive your car here because it is definately NOT walking distance and it is quite hard to find.
Some challenges with their inhouse reservation system not including the included breakfast but staff worked with it when I showed them screen shots of the reservation process. Just check the final reservation confirmation and if any inconsistencies screen shot the earlier pages. Hopefully a glitch they are unaware of and that will be sorted soon. Others, less prepared may well have been caught out but I think it a glitch rather than intentional. Stay calm:).
If you are getting a rental car then this is GORentals after hours pick up location so there may be a vehicle hire/accomodation hack waiting in there for the enthusiastic bargain hunters.
A.Only stayed one night good for stopovers, clean rooms, tea and coffee making good but they do not supply bottled water which most hotels do. Excellent staff.
C.Concurrently located close to the airport, Sudima presents itself as a very modern hotel primarily for business travelers transiting overnight. It's well furnished, has very fast wifi, and all the staff have been excellent. My only gripe is the restaurant is embarrassingly overpriced, and you have to pay for bathroom amenities like shaving and dental kits? Something I've never come across in all of my travels.
T.Solid place to stay close to the airport - this is a modern and very clean hotel. Good for families and there is a paid for shuttle that takes you there in about 15 mins.

d.Bed isn't comfy and the inability to turn off the AC is mindless. On a plus it's conveniently placed and free parking is good. Oh with regards to that, if you need to fill up your hire care don't go to Z station close to the airport, go to Waitomo it's almost 40c a litre cheaper
D.The rooms are clean and the mattress were new. The alarm clock did not have USB, only iphone4. The restaurant buffets were a little expensive, but you have to travel 10min away to reach other cafe or restaurants
D.Convenient to the airport, clean, efficient. Good breakfast buffet available at a good rate if you book online. Use the $6 shuttle bus to get between the airport and the hotel.
p.Work conference location; offers multiple room fit out options, catering and accommodation all with helpful staff. The only thing it needs to improve on is the standard coffee - that was awful.
M.Fine for a quick overnight stay but further from the airport than I expected. The lobby was chilled to sub artic levels and the slowest check-in and out process I've ever seen.

T.Practical given its proximity to the airport the sudima should be your first choice when looking for short term accommodation. Clean and friendly with good facilities we enjoyed our stay.
M.Adequate size room. Clean room. If you use guest parking the entrance you go through to get to reception is long & quite dilapidated, they really need to work on that first impression.
