This has become my favourite place to stay in downtown Auckland. It's not the most updated hotel, but it's clean, quiet, has amazing views of the city and harbour, friendly staff, free parking, spacious rooms and is superb value for money in a great location. We had breakfast and dinner in their restaurant which provided a good selection at affordable prices with very friendly service.

Grabbed a deal and it exceeded expectations. Easy free parking compared to trying to find a park in CBD. Great location, central to most things. Room was comfortable.

Great location, clean, tidy and has everything you need. Friendly staff, specially Margaret and Jane from the restaurant who offered an outstanding service last night.

We stayed in room 501 and it was better than we expected having stayed in Auckland hotels before. Nice view of Auckland, only 5 mins from city centre or 20mins walk. Room was cleaned and we were welcomed warmly by hotel reception.

Two bedroom apartments are spacious and have more than enough room for a family of 5. Kitchenette, large bathroom with shower and bath . Beautiful view of Auckland from our balcony . Lively food from the restaurant also .

Apartment on 4th level. Great city and Harbour views. Wonderful winter sun on balcony and in apartment. Well equipped, comfortable bed and very clean. Great value for money. Close to Parnell shops and Holy Trinity Cathedral. We would stay there again.

Best bed ever! Have stayed at a few places over the years but this place had the best bed. When we went to reception to pass on our thanks other guests also commented on the comfort level of their bed. We came to watch Anericas Cup so your location for the racing village and waterfront view was perfect. Room was fresh, clean and a lovely view of city/waterfront.

Nice enough place. The room was a bit unclean. Stains on top of the toilet seat. The food in the restaurant was nice, and the staff at the restaurant and in reception were friendly and efficient. I got a small bottle of milk on my first day, and when I finished it they didn't replace it.

Very good experience but could do with better lifts in conference centre. Disabled access not perfect. Lots of steps on a wet day left one feeling insecure. However really enjoyed myself there and would definitely recommend and stay again

Lovely stay. We booked a suite with two rooms as we had our 2 children with us and found the rooms well kept, good facilities and enjoyed our stay. There was a large bath available which is helpful with a toddler and the staff were professional. Good value for money.

Great location and hotel. Well maintained, with obvious care, and it is nice to know it is a charitable trust. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable and it was nice to have a kitchenette. Every room has air conditioning, but the best find was the on site restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and has a range of options and prices. The breakfast was fantastic.

Central to Parnell. Very comfortable bed. Balcony was a nice surprise. Walls thin though. We could hear someone snoring next door. Would stay,again very happily. Onsite parking

Had a good night stay. The beds were comfy and I got a good view of the skytower. Its in good location, 10 - 15 minute walk to Parnell high street, all round pretty decent stay.

We stay here anytime we come to Auckland and have always loved it. Great staff, fabulous restaurant and close to the CBD. We have always had room 101 as it's a ground floor family room with everything we need to travel with children. Breakfast is really good, and room service is prompt. Clean, well stocked, comfy beds and everything just as it should be in a hotel. Highly recommend.

A good place to stay at fair price handy to CBD and Parnell - helpful staff. Restaurant is OK but service is a little slow. Would stay here again.

The staff were wonderful and made our seminar very pleasant. We walked into a very well prepared room with water, mints, note pads. Morning and afternoon tea was really nice and different each time. They were welcoming to our seminar visitors (not participants but volunteers), who would be waiting to be called. Nice conference room and very clean bathrooms.

Great views of the city, New bathrooms nicely decorated. Staff are wonderful and happy. We have stayed many times and always willing to recommend to friends. We will most likely be going back.

Reasonable prices, very clean rooms. The bed was comfortable. We had an apartment with kitchen which was well equipped. The cleaning maid was very courteous - we barely saw her/him, but we always had kitchen necessaries refilled, the bed was made, even if we only one hour away for breakfast. Great service! The laundry was quite busy, we had to look often for an available washing machine. You need some coins to use the washing machine or the dryer. The main road of Parnell, where you will find shops and cafes, is a 15 minute walk away. You can take a lovely shortcut through two parks to get there.

We booked 2x2 bedroom units for wedding guests. Excellent location, facility and rooms. Will be brilliant when new room fitouts completed. Good price. The rooms included a well equipped kitchenette, lots chairs and great storage. Exactly what we required for an overnight stay, but wouldn't hesitate to stay longer if sharing unit. Reception accommodated our request for early check in. The cafe onsite is brilliant and they provided us with a free room for breakfast for our large gathering of family. Excellent food. Highly recommend both places.

Stayed here last weekend with a bunch of girlfriends doing the Pink Ribbon 10km walk. Can't fault the hotel, the amenities, and the friendly staff! Special accolades to Brent on Reception....such a cool, fun fella, who appreciated our silly humour! We'll be back.

Would make it 3 and 1/2 if I could. Room ok but tired - especially the bathroom. They were clean and They did a good job of keeping them that way during our stay. They are doing renovations though to improve. Location is good and a short walk to the Parnell road shops and restaurants. The restaurant does a very good dinner and good coffee.

Friendly staff, clean room, affordable. Good views. Only negative was the shower over the raised bath with a shower curtain. Not easy to access bath, especially for young children or elderly.

A wonderful experience after changing hotels. The room was simple but beautiful. The beds were so comfortable. Separate lounge which faces a beautiful view. Highly recommend and would definitely go back and stay again. Reception service was exceptional and friendly😊

In terms of accommodation and facilities, this is a standard Kiwi style motel. Clean, comfortable, well-equipped rooms offer nothing to complain about, and the rates are very reasonable. The staff, however, are on a superlative level. We pitched up before 7:00 am, travel-stained and weary after a 17 hour flight from Doha. Despite our room not being officially available until 2:00pm, the reception staff changed their plans to find us a free room where we could crash out. We were so grateful, having expected to spend the day on a park bench. The restaurant offers excellent food at good-value prices, and the waiting staff are very friendly and helpful. We would unhesitatingly return and recommend this hotel to others.

Friendly easy book in. Nice clean older room with a view of Auckland harbour in the distance. Plenty of fresh milk got my cuppa thanks. Great location with plenty of parking off street and free. Wifi easy to use and breakfast included was delicious. Air con worked well in the current heat wave.

For the price you can't really fault this place. Beds were comfy, room was quiet and bathroom was nice and new - much cleaner than some 5 star Sofitel properties I've stayed in. I checked in at 11pm and the front desk attendant was very helpful. Would recommend this place for anyone doing a self-tour of NZ (free parking a bonus!)

I was attending a course, the room was tidy, air conditioned and stationary provided. Morning tea was tea and scones, great for a British ex-pat. Lunch order was taken early so that it could be provided o time for our short lunch break.

I'm attending for a business trip and rather unhappy with service from the front desk. They had someone else's details on my booking and had no desire to sort the issue. Didn't care about it being a breech of privacy. Toasties not even toasted, bagels for lunch had only meat with no option of anything else. I had a rude front desk person at my door with breakfast worried he forgot to charge $4 for our tray. It's a complete circus!! The only person that is amazing here is Jane. She went above and beyond for us.

Had a very clean studio. Came with a good sized bathroom, microwave, fridge and kettle. Staff were friendly and patient. The Hotel is a walkable distance from the Main Street that hosts a wide variety of restaurants.

Clean and super large room. It is the place to stay in Auckland for me. Close to CBD and Mt Eden where I need to work at times. Load of parking and places to eat are walking distance. 4 and half stars.

Nice hotel and great value. Certainly not a five-star hotel. But given the price, this is a good value. Location is fantastic. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops. Very close to downtown. I would recommend it. Definitely a place we would stay again, if visiting Auckland New Zealand.

An OK place, you get what you pay for. The room was big and spacious, windows had good curtains. Theere is a Countdown supermarket 5 minutes drive. We came in late and left the next day morning, so not many things other than that. There's an elevator for the bags. Only minus is that the way to the room is not concealed from the wind. Luckily it didn't rain...

I found the room to be a little less than what i was expecting especially for the area that we were in and the price we paid. The first thing that I noticed was that the room has a very interesting and outdated layout. We stayed one night in the south wing which has different room options. In this room the shower floor had been raised leaving the shower head to gently apply pressure to my ribs. I almost had to sit down to wash my hair. It makes quite the acrobatic experience to step out of the shower on the floor. The rest of our week plus long stay we moved to the main building of the hotel. We just didn't really understand what the room was trying to achieve. It feels like it's had new Air Conditioning and a lick of paint and call it a 5 star...You cannot fully open the door to the apartment as it bangs into the bathroom door which is just a plastic slide door offering little sound proofing. The bed faces a wall with a desk and TV sat on the right so if you wanted to relax in bed you will bend your neck out of shape to watch it. Or do what we did and re-arrange the room so that it isn't so annoying. Easy fixes just minor details. Wifi is available in both "wards" of the hotel but is very slow and intermittent. I wouldn't rely on it for much outside of waiting for emails. Room service was sub standard. A fee charged regardless of time and regardless of wait times. Had one issue where food was delivered burned and dry - did they not even look at it before attempting to deliver it? Apologies were made and a replacement meal was made half an hour after but it's just such a basic thing that shouldn't happen if you want to charge a surcharge for it. The rooms were cleaned when we wanted them cleaned and they did a great job. Couldn't fault their friendliness and professionalism in getting the job done. Aside from an occurrence where I was just out the shower, had the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door and a house keeper knocked once and then entered the room. I think she was a little embarrassed given the layout the door was next to the shower door ;) Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating and were happy to make small talk after a day out showing interest in where we had been. Its a friendly atmosphere that helps prepare you for a substandard room experience in our opinion. Car parking is a bit of a test. Given the slope of the property it would be hard to do much else with it but just be mindful of some uneven pavement in the wet as it is quite dark out the back or down the lower end of the car park lot. I did have feedback regarding a large tree in the car park but that has been removed since our stay so have adjusted feedback accordingly. In summary: There are better hotels around the area for what you can pay. The customer service and experience is great but it gets let down by attention to detail and an outdated feel. I wish I could have rated it higher.

Kind and helpful receptionist, accessible rooms, spacious and comfortable living space, large bed in separate heated room. Bathroom was clean and functional. Overall a genuinely recommendable location to stay.

We took a sports team here and were pleasantly surprised by the lovely units with views and everything we could need to keep everyone well fed and rested. I simply cannot say enough good things about the entire staff. The rooms were clean and tidy. A short drive or taxi to the centre of Auckland.

Our stay was great! The hotel offers stunning views of Auckland from your room! Check-in-and-out was in a timely manner. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is literally a 10 minutes walk to the bus stop, cafes, local grocery store, restaurants on Parnell Rd. and also another a 10 minutes walk to Parnell Rose Gardens. Wi-Fi was good! The hotel also offers free parking on site. In addition, the restaurant on site was very good with good/attentive customer service and we did enjoy our dinner there! The hotel is a 3-5 minutes drive to Auckland War Memorial Museum and is not too far to other tourist attractions. Overall, I'd recommend to stay at this hotel!

We had a room on the 4th floor. The staff are friendly and attentive and stored our luggage on the day of checkout as we had a late flight that night and needed to go to games. Staff were great. Over all I highly reccomend this hotel specially for their hospitality and location.

Stayed here with 3 kids under 5 and 2 adults. Got the 2 bedroom family room which came with full kitchen and washing machine and drier in bathroom. We would stay here again. Room clean. Beds comfy. Staff friendly. Restaurant was ok but was good when we arrived at 7pm to quickly get food into the kids n straight to bed.

Very good made to order breakfast. Hotel building feels like very old construction. It is under renovation now but overall gives a very dull feeling. Room has good views of Auckland downtown. Room is just ok, everything works. I won't prefer to stay here again but if I have to, it will be ok.

A short stroll to Parnell where there are more cafes and restaurants to satisfy anybody. Easy reach of shops and transport. Family unit with full facilities was great. The service was seamless. The room prices have always been reasonable. Quiet hotel so close to the cityAlready on the cards for next year.

Attended first aid training here. Room was extremely difficult to find. Facilities ok. Good that this place is not a COVID-19 isolation facility.

Very comfortable hotel. The room was large. Hobson's bay, shops and restaurants on Parnell Rd are plentiful and walking tracks through parkland nearby. We paid a little extra (for us) for a suite and enjoyed the spacious unit. We ate breakfast there a few times and it was nice.

Can be hit and miss, stayed two nights (one more than expected.) which was nice they could accomadate us at short notice. First night was good, rooms could do with some aircon, but was a decent room. Second night we were in a different room, which was hard up against the stairwell and was quite noisy. Staff were nice, extremely helpful

We had a two day conference here. The parking was easy and to food was quite good. The rooms are quite large so I would not recommend it for a small meeting. Not sure about prices.

Clean and tidy however light did not work inside our hallway meant we had to leave kitchen or bathroom when we went out. Curtains had come off track hooks in 2 places. 4 bottles of water in fridge with milk thought it was complimentary as no information to say otherwise. .... eg like mini bar. Otherwise happy with stay.

I stayed in a king size bed room on the 4th floor, and will happily stay here again. Rooms are reasonable (clean and enough space for a couple) and the prices and available parking make this a no brainer. Staff are all nice and polite too. Views to the city from the balcony are good too. If you're up for it, you can easily walk to the city (it'll take 30 minutes or so), and there's the Auckland Domain to explore as well.

nice and big hotel in the city many visitors are coming from the worlld the visitors are praising the staff and the owner the owner is guiding the team for service the extra service he is giving as manager what ever we want when we stayed there there are many facilities and many team member are serving the customers under the guideline of the owner

It's budget quality in an expensive part of town. Close to lots of attractions of Auckland. The carpark, the restaurant and walking to your room you're exposed to the elements - only great on sunny days. Limited menu but nice food.

Great place to stay for an easy trip into down town ..I get nervous travelling to new places and found it easy to use public transport to get around..Great location with some great hidden gems for little walks in near by parks etc . Great views and neat tidy rooms..some bathroom upgrading required but they were doing this as we were staying.

Very friendly staff. Close enough to the CBD without getting too mixed up in the hustle and bustle of the city. Clean and tidy but they do expect authorisation for the full stay to be put on your credit card. If you don't have enough on the credit card you are expected to pay the full amount up front before accessing your room (not a big deal but a bit of a surprise). The north wing has great views of the harbour and sky tower, and has been recently refurbished.

Great view of the city from my 5th floor room. The Big Breakfast for $16 is the best value I have seen anywhere for a long time and very nice as well. Highly recommend.

There is a restaurant with great coffee and breakfast, lunch and dinner. We tend to look after ourselves so don't use things like room service or the hotel restaurant and so having a kitchen to prepare breakfasts and a couple of lunches was ideal. All reasonably priced. Service and staff were good.

I must honestly say, I love the price for the location. Reasonable walk to the main street of cafes and restaurants. I have stayed at Quality Hotel,on ***y occasions and always find the standard of service excellent. Parking area directly below with ample spaces provided for guests.

Greeted in the middle of the night from a late flight but a very friendly guy at the front desk. I actually found this location nearly ideal and would definitely select this hotel again should I visit Auckland. Can totally recommend this hotel and I am returning in a couple of weeks time.

The Parnell Hotel was the best very clean and comfortable and had the best views. Value for money.

The motel was very clean and tidy and the location to Auckland CBD, Parnell and Newmarket great. It is also just a short Uber ride away from the Spark Arena so is a good base for concert goers. It was a little noisy in our Unit due to the elevator being close by, and the Unit needed an extractor fan in the bathroom but overall it was good value for money.

Clean and bit old fashioned hotel. Staff is very friendly. I think meals are reasonably priced with compared restaurants.

First time being there like it. It was clean and welcoming smile at reception.

Plugs for recharging equipment were a little sparse. Guess it is due to old design of the building which was revamped to a hotel. What was a bit strange was that the TV was on a wall to the left of the bed and did not have an arm that could swing out so was in a silly place.

During our recent visit to New Zealand - during our long stay in Auckland - we stayed at Quality Hotel Parnell. It is a most conveniently located hotel suitable for families. Parnell is a posh neighborhood of Auckland, picturesque, tranquil, peaceful - "far away from the madding crowd" - yet - within walking distance from Newmarket, the prime shopping centre of Auckland, and Downtown Auckland’s Central Business District, and, of course, the lovely Parnell Village with its restaurants and cafes, and the beautiful Parnell Rose Gardens, Dove-Myer Robinson Park and and Eric Ambler Lookout down Gladstone Road from where you get a spectacular view of Auckland and its Harbour. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the service is excellent, the staff is warm, friendly and efficient, there is a good restaurant for dining, and there is free WiFi throughout the premises of the hotel. If you are a tourist - there are many attractions like the Auckland Domain/War Memorial Museum and Quay Street/Harbour within walking distance - and you can get convenient buses by walking a short distance to Parnell Road to all attractions and destinations in Auckland. Also, the Auckland Explorer Bus has a stop just outside Quality Hotel Parnell. I enjoyed walking around the lovely locality of Parnell - especially my morning walks in the Parnell Rose Gardens and Dove-Myer Robinson Park. We had a most pleasant stay of a total of around 2 weeks at Quality Hotel Parnell. What I liked most about the rooms was the complete "kitchen unit" with full-fledged cooking facilities (Fridge, Electric Kettle for making tea/coffee, Microwave Oven, Electric Hotplate, Crockery, Cutlery, Utensils etc) - this is a boon for families. This was our first visit to Auckland New Zealand and we are glad that our Travel Agent booked us into Quality Hotel Parnell. Hopefully - we may visit Auckland again - and - after our excellent experience - we may stay in Quality Hotel Parnell - and look forward to a pleasant and comfortable stay at Quality Hotel Parnell once again.

Small rooms with extremely small bathrooms. The ceiling lights in the gangway weren't working. So it was dark in the corridors. So if u low on ur budget u can choose to stay here or else skip this one.

Clean and comfortable, if not a bit dated. It was quiet, but outside the CBD, so not necessarily convenient for most events.

Friendly service, but paper thin walls. If you are a light sleeper and have noisy neighbors, you'll be awake as long as they are.

At the moment l am attending the ChildMatters workshop, the staff are very welcoming and show great hospitality skills.

Spent a night here as a very pleasant change from the RV. Nice spacious room.

Had hot chocolate and a good cafe, though their car park was fairly small. Light comes through the curtains so it is very hard to sleep here.
