Check in was great, super easy, great location, very friendly and helpful- lovely accommodating staff, highly recommended staying here. Stayed five nights, great price for central city. Will definitely stay again. No negatives.

We have stayed with VR Auckland in the past and really enjoyed our stay. I was booked again for this weekend but unfortunately had to cancel (thanks Covid!). The staff were really understanding and accommodating. I know Covid has been really tough on the tourism and services industries, so just wanted to give a big shout out and thank you to VR, and I hope to be able to rebook my visit soon! 🤞

Flew from Christchurch to Auckland for a girls weekend away. Check in time was 2pm but we had taken the first flight so arrived way before 2pm. The reception staff was happy to store our bags locked away till we would check in. They also upgraded both the rooms. We had 2 rooms with balconies both overlooking Hobson st. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. N the best thing was that the staff were so nice and friendly.

Very comfortable clean fully self contained apartments. Staff are always available and are excellent. Facilities are in good order Fully recommend

Stayed here last week and upon check in, which was early (awesome) I was met with an upgrade to the 2 bedroom apartment exectutive. While that was a great surprise I didnt recieve the breakfast that was supposed to be included in my original booking. Harshna was awesome on the reception, waving the $250 bond, giving the upgrade and extending me to a late checkout. All this being said I did still feel as though the room is quite outdated and could do with some renovations, ie, shower pressure, mould in some areas and whilst there was a washing machine in the room, there was no drier. All things considered, a good stay

I have spent one night there and it was good. The room is provided with everything needed if a small family would like to stay for a week or more to explore nearby locations. The room is clean and has a very good ventilation system and air conditioning. The breakfast was also provided and it was very tasty and fresh. The only negative point I have is the carpet, which needs some cleaning. Otherwise, I would have gave 5 stars.

Nice and clean, comfy bed etc. Only issues were lack of convenient parking and missing shelf in shower and a raised step in bathroom which we tripped over a few times. Other than that was great night and good location. Would stay again.

We stayed here for a night about a month ago and I meant to leave a review to say thank you for such a comfortable room. It was very very clean and tidy, and the bed was awesome. Reception was also very nice. Thanks again, we'll probably stay again especially seeing as it was so well priced at short notice.

Beautiful rooms awesome service great views for photos receptionist serves you with a smile my son loved it has coffee milk but only downfall was no drinks in the fridge also no breakfast but besides that was a awesome 1 day vacation with my family try it out for yourself and you will no what I'm talking about also provides car parks underground from 30 dollars

Lovely staff, bed was comfortable, good location. But shower door didn't close properly which resulted in a wet bathroom floor, even after laying down bath mats and bath towels. No hand soap. Breakfast was very simple, but adequate. A bit pricy for what you get. Parking you pay extra for, is a bit of a nightmare, with parks that are reserved so you can't use them, then the ones you can use you end up double parked. They have a good system to get you out if your blocked. Close to everything

Great Value and Great Location! No major issues with our stay. Amenities are good, and you get a free to-go breakfast delivered the night before for the following day. Located a few blocks from Sky City, easy to get around the city! Highly recommend!

We will stay here again. Most people will understand that means this was an excellent stay. Clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Enjoyable breakfast. Super comfortable bed (really important after staying in a really hard bed). And economically priced.

I really enjoyed my stay at VR apartments. It was affordable and convenient. We had to move from an Airbnb that was horrific for almost double the price of VR. The receptionists were super friendly and helpful. They have amazing washing machines. And over all the cleanliness of the place was good. The heating system was beyond amazing for winter. One piece of advice, the carpet and sofas might need a-bit of a clean though. I would definitely stay there again if I ever go back to AUK.

Spent just a couple hours there on an overnight layover. We got there very late and the beds were really uncomfortable; it took about an hour away from an already very short night of sleep. We were leaving for a tour early in the morning so they put our complimentary breakfast in our room fridge, which was appreciated. The content of the breakfast was rather... interesting, especially the cheese and onion sandwich. We were able to leave our luggage there in their luggage room for the entire day.

This apartment hotel is very nice, the room is complete with the fridge, laundry, iron, and kitchen. Complimentary breakfast is provided. The location is very strategic and only a block away from Queens St. The staffs are friendly too. The only down site is the $30 surcharge for the parking.

The accommodation was quite good. Loved that there was a washing machine in our room. Good breakfast. The only issue was that there was no on site parking unless you booked it. 40 parks for the entire hotel. It was pouring with rain so needless to say I was quite annoyed. The smug desk person said I had to park in street somewhere and offered no umbrella which I found out later he had access to

This was a very nice hotel. There were two bedrooms in the room. It was like a suit. Great for people who want to have separate rooms yet at the same time share the cost of a room. There was a washing machine and even a microwave oven in the room, a sofa and a TV.

The staff were lovely and helpful. The rooms were stylish and spacious and exactly what we needed. The room we had had a nice big table to put our luggage on. The breakfast provided is not much of a breakfast, a couple of biscuits (cookies), bread, butter and strawberry jam, a juice and a cereal packet and milk, which is all put into your rooms kitchen at about 8pm the night before (and they didn't knock, though the kitchen is out of sight of the living area). The beds sank in the middle, but we're fairly comfortable otherwise, and apart from the noise of the traffic outside (to be expected being right in the city) we were woken up at 7am one morning by a fire alarm and had to evacuate while the fire fighters came and checked the building. I understand the fire alarm was not their fault, but weirdly the fire alarm didn't have any instructions, just a very loud noise (which woke us up but just confused us for a minute). After the building was checked, and we were allowed back in, the staff seemed completely unbothered and we weren't given an explanation or "false alarm" or apology or anything. Just a little weird.

Excellent location, within walking distance of Sky Tower. Comfortable 2 bedroom apartment. Staff were helpful but i was disappointed as i had sent an email providing further information on people staying and requesting reservation and confirmation of parking. I did not receive a response or acknowledgement. The hotel parking garage is tiny and requires some fancy manouvering if you have a medium to large vehicle. Overall comfortable stay on our business trip.

Stayed there a couple of weeks ago with my little family to celebrate my partner's birthday with the kids. They gave us a bottle of wine and a card. I wasn't expecting anything given how cheap the room was so I really appreciated it. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A small hiccup was investigated and solved almost immediately. Enjoyed having the balcony for fresh air. Loved having an area to cook my own breakfast. They have a TV with a HDMI port. Comfortable setting. Can't wait to go back x

The room I had was adequate, and was reasonably well equipped. But there were several things that were annoying. Before my stay, I tried to book a car park. I emailed through booking.com, no reply. Tried to call, no answer, left a message, no reply. Had to physically go to reception to book. Also no mention on booking.com that there is a charge for parking, or that there is double parking so you can get blocked in. No instructions on using the aircon, the entrance or exit procedure for the car park, or the TV. Sky TV was hiding on the analogue stations. I also dont believe my room was serviced in 4 days. Overall it was ok, but could have been so much better. Might I also suggest electric blankets for winter?

Quite clean and nice. Had issues with no jug and toaster. Bed wasn't that great. $250 deposit was returned on check out. Overall it was pretty good especially for the price $108 for the night.

Great location for exploring Auckland. Rooms were clean and plenty big enough for the two of us. What let it down was the breakfast, if you call yesterday's sandwiches breakfast and the absolute lack of help from the front desk. I would stay again but only due to the excellent location.

I've just stayed here for 4 nights. I've had a great stay, the staff are so welcoming and make you feel at home. the rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again

Prior to check in there was no indication as to what time check in was nor was there any indication that car parking had to be booked prior to arriving (which meant we frantically had to try and organise somewhere to park the car which starts at $30 a day) and there are only 3 spaces in which to park your car to wait in whilst you take out luggage. In the end we gave up on the car and took it back early. Kitchen facilities seemed good but we found that they were not practical. Baking trays had holes in so you can't cook anything which has fat or butter or cheese because it will drip all over the oven (which you later would probably be charged for), there was also no frying pan to cook in which also didn't help (we later received one after asking for one). No cleaning utensils or dish washing soap, only a dishwasher and washing powder. We then tried to wash our clothes prior to going home and the instructions didn't match the machine. We managed to get a wash done, which after 4 hours hadn't completed and we had to switch off by the mains and put it on a spin. We then tried to use the tumble drier which ended up washing the clothes again or getting them wet again to dry! The bedding was also far too hot for the hotel even with air conditioning on. The next day drilling and hammer banging started at 7.30 am, which surely customers should be warned about? Some people may be jet lagged or come off a long flight etc. Saying that, it is in a good location to the city and harbour, all within walking distance. It was a good base for a few days and some of the staff did try to be helpful which we did appreciate. The shower was good, and it was clean and tidy. Overall, I wouldn't say it is worth the 4 stars it gives itself, at best I would say a 3 but really I think a 2.5.

We were welcomed by lovely staff who are very helpful. However the rooms are average. We stayed in a studio room, the air con is by the kitchen and doesnt reach the bedroom, room had dust or marks in many places, bed was uncomfy with very small space to move around it. Not much milk for 2, and no hot choc even though room was book for one adult and one child. The contenial breakfast was a nice touch.I would have filled in the in house feedback form but no pen was provided

I stay for a week in this hotel . I really had a great experience . The front desk staff and the management team are well professional and really friendly . Although i didnt get the sky tower view rooms , but the layout and the interoir of the room was excellent . I am a frequent travels to auckland city and this Hotel is on my favourite list . Once again i would thank the front desk staff for their awesome service .

It's quiet, good space in rooms, the staff are friendly and it's good value for money. They aren't fully serviced apartments, towels and facecloths may not be replaced 1 for 1. Overall we were happy with our stay

Good affordable flat for 2 nights. Clean and stocked regularly by staff. Allowed us to check in 5 hours early which was a god send after 32 hours on an aeroplane. Super nice and helpful staff.

Writing review to highlight the good value at this place and good customer service from reception friendly and helpful. Room tidy clean and modern looking. The value under $100 which is amazing for auckland city near sky city. Amenities free breakfast pack provided. Only improvement would be larger amount of data for wifi though i still would review 5 stars due to friendly customer service

Definitely not value for money. The fridge was not cleared of previous occupants food. Careful of hidden cost like parking. They charged you NZ$25 for overnight parking in a small parking lot. They don’t tell you that there are other cheaper carparks nearby. Unlike most hotels the checkout is 10am. Breakfast was served the night before

Nice apartments, good laundry facilities within the room, and the fridge is stocked daily with your breakfast. Quite good value, but book ahead so you don't pay too much.

If you look for an hotel go to VR hotel they do not dissapoint you :) one of the best!!

Handy location. Cost effective. For what we needed it was okay. Hotel also provided parking in the basement. And was with easy walking distance to the Sky tower and the Viaduct.

We had booked 2 room apartment for our recent visit, Our apartment was very spacious and clean, with nice lounge area, Apartment was equipped with all facilities like oven, gas, iron, laundry, refrigerator and even hair dryer was there, Coffee, Tea and sugar pouch was also available too help yourself, You need to book your parking before check in otherwise you may not able to get one and it will cost you extra (still way cheaper than on road parking or any other parking available near), Staff was very nice and willing to help, Overall we had great experience staying there, Highly Recommend!

This was the perfect place to stay as it was right in the heart of Auckland. We stepped out the main doors into to the hustle and bustle of the main shopping and eating area. The room was clean and service everyday. When we requested an extra towel we received two extra for the rest of our stay. The front of desk staff were very helpful and knowledgable. We had a take 11am check out and they stored our bags on the last day free of charge as we had a late flight home. Easy transfers arranged between airport. Will definitely rebook fir our next stay in Melbourne.

Very good value apartment hotel in Auckland. Place and facilities are a little tired, but otherwise well equipped with usual amenities. Near to the actions, close to SkyCity, many nice food outlets and downtown. $25 daily for the underground car park is ok, but need to reserve early for space and the entry/exit to the parking spaces is a little tight. Hotel staffs are super friendly and willing to help and the provided Continental Breakfast is reasonable value too (breads, jam, milk, cereals, cookies and fruit juice). Happy to stay again.

It's ok, carpets dirty, don't know why they pay house cleaners for, average cleaning, limited cooking essentials. handy location, shame about all the home less people very close by, but they are harmless. Front desk very friendly and helpful 😀.

Stay for a week, It was wonderful and convenient place, cleaned, tidy and quiet. Just walking distance to city, harbor and plenty of restaurants and easy transportation. Free off street parking after 6.30pm till 8am or just simple purchase hour to hour parking. There are plenty parking place near by to hire for dayly basis. The Apartment price was great deal and included free continental breakfast & free WiFi. Everything was providing for daily service inside the room, includes washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, microwave oven, aircond & heater and daily room service. Happy to stay again on next visit in Auckland 👍

Room was serviceable, breakfast package was comprehensive and a bit if free Wi-Fi too. However my room's lighting was pretty dim, particularly in the lounge and bathroom and the bed was uncomfortably firm.

Nice spot and allowed us in early prior to check in time. We were very tired and arrived back in nz in the am. I don't recommend breakfast Sandwich, yogurt and 🍎 would of preferred cereal and toast. Room is cosy with comfortable bed and pillows and close to areas of interest.

This hotel had a great location near some amazing restaurants, it was modern and had all the facilities you needed in your hotel. Wouldn't mind staying here again if I got another chance to go to Auckland!!! Everything was up to par, appreciated the kitchen items and amenities not offered by some of the other aparthotels. The interior arrangement was a bit impractical. I suggest redesigning the placement of the TV and bed, consider that most people would rather be able to watch tv in bed than having to get up and walk to the otherside of the room.

The first time, they gave us the wrong room. The hallways smell odd and the TV is a bit small. However, the breakfast was really good consisting with muselis, milk and bread that is enough for breakfast. There is also juices and some cookies.

Excellent location and prompt services to check in/out. The apartment was kept neat and tidy. The bed sheets were clean and so was the linen. Thank you.

The room itself was okay, however the 'breakfast pack' was grim. White sandwich bread in a zip lock bag with single serve pack of jam. I'll be staying elsewhere next time.

Had all the mod cons. Rooms are clean but showing a lot of wear and tear. The free breakfast was terrible. Cold egg sandwiches, sticky muffin and juice that tasted of factory flavouring.

I've been coming here from February this year and stay 1 or 2 weeks at a time. Very reasonable price and tidy place.

It was a great experience just because of all the facilities provided by the hotel management . When I was in hotel I feel like same as my home just because of the friendly reception and housekeeping staff 😊.so it's become an unforgettable stay of my life.😘

Good size apartment for a couple with equipped kitchen. Within walking distance to main street, food, entertainment - a little further to the ferry. Complimentary pass to Les Mills was a bonus!

Like the hotel in Mount Cook, the breakfast has already been placed in the room, with a lot of weight.
