D.Our original booking was for one night at late notice, turning into three nights. Nothing was a problem, kept our original room and the owners bent over backwards to accommodate us. The selling point for the booking was free parking and walking distance to the hospital but the cleanliness of the room and service was the cherry on top! Would stay again on our next trip to Christchurch
P.My sister and I stayed there for two nights, everything about this motel was excellent. Spotlessly clean, comfy beds and pillows, friendly hosts and a good location. Would stay there again. Gayel Child
D.Warm and friendly welcome. Lovely setting next to Hagley Park. Clean rooms and it was a bonus to hear about the free transport to the railway station. I would definitely stay here again if in Christchurch.
T.I've stayed here before and will again when I return to Christchurch. A clean, well priced, convenient motel. Plenty of milk in the fridge. Always great staying here, friendly staff. Over the road from Hagley Park, a very short walk to many food outlets, restaurants etc. A bit further down the road is Riccerton Mall.

u.Two big rooms in the same apartment. It was clean well maintained and all basic amenities are provided. Aircon was big enough to heat all the rooms including toilets. Owners are amazing and well organized. I also got a good review of the hotel from the cab driver who drove me from the airport.
L.Good value and great location right next to the park. Apartment was clean and had enough room for our needs. What really sealed the deal was the free shuttle to the TransAlpine as we are not locals and hadn't picked up our hire car at that stage. Thanks Lena! :)

Road is very busy and sirens are a common occurance, so not for light sleepers even though ear plugs are supplied. Comfy beds, clean and tidy.

B.I had to stay due to an appointment at the Christchurch public hospital. Hotel hosts were polite and friendly, the rooms were spotless and modern. Shower pressure in bottom floor was great, TV in both rooms, beds were comfortable and warm. Heat pump worked well, fridge good etc. Was able to view my car from window quite well. On premises parking. Easy access to main road and Riccarton shops. Excellent.
D.No-frills, reasonably priced motel across the street from the park. Reception was very friendly. We were given a huge family style room with a separate bedroom that we didn't need. The room, while quite dated, was very spacious with a sitting area and kitchenette, and it was very clean and comfortable. Great location walking distance to plenty of restaurants.

M.OUTSTANDING PLACE TO STAY in Christchurch New Zealand. Across the street from a huge park, wonderful hosts, walking distance to restaurants, downtown, and shopping. One of the best deals for the dollar I've seen. Lena and Peter are very attentive. Room was large by comparison to other NZ hotels/motels we stayed at on our 18 day vacation in NZ (stayed in Auckland at Sky Grand Hotel, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown).
P.Simply awesome... a nice motel... fresh rooms.. with king beds... and TV and complete kitchen appliances ... bathrooms are clean... fantastic place to stay to 2-3 days as a base camp. Connectivity is good... botinical garden right in front and cathedral at a stone’s throw. Near by there are many restorant... including a Indian restorant which serves excellent home like food.
Train station is near by... and owner dropped us to station for free. Its a beautiful place run by sweet and polite couple.

M.I recently had the pleasure of staying at Argyle on the Park for a period of 9 weeks. I was commuting each day from the motel to Christchurch hospital to be with my son who was receiving ongoing specialist care as an inpatient. Lena and Peter Borodin, the owners of Argyle on the Park could not have been more welcoming. They, especially Lena, knew my stay with them was at times extremely stressful but they did everything possible to make my stay comfortable. Returning to the motel on cold evenings, Lena would make sure the heat pump was on making it cosy. She helped in anyway possible even doing my laundry for me at times and checking in with me when she knew I was going through stressful times with my very ill son. She listened to my woes and sat with me at times. Lena and Peter are fantastic hosts and always acted on any queries immediately. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious and I would stay there again over anything else if I had to return to Christchurch. Lena was so kind and lovely, she even made me a few meals. Miss my new friend Lena. x
R.This is an excellent choice for a stay in Christchurch. Just over the road from Hagley Park and within easy walking distance to a wide range of restaurants. The host are very friendly and the rooms (slightly dated) are warm and comfortable.
H.Good clean motel. Close to the city and good rates. Old interior but good utensils and good rates easily made up for whatever it lacked. Christchurch as a city has detoriated which made living in city centre not so lucrative.
J.15 mature Otago cricketers stayed here for 6 nights and we could not fault one thing....Management were great, rooms clean and tidy and the location by Hagley Park and all the restaurants on Riccerton Road made this accommodation absolutely perfect. We hae another tournament in Christchurch next year and will be back to Argyle on the Park....many thanks

S.Good location, take away food just around the corner, supermarket 10 minute walk up the road. Botanical gardens and city center accross the road. Room was clean, has everything you need, staff were friendly and helpful.
