Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great, nice and central and close to shops and restaurants. Unfortunately our room (spa room) had a very musty damp smell. We were told on arrival that the carpet around the spa had been wet and was drying, and we had a dehumidifier in the room. It didn’t really help the damp smell it had despite running this most of our two night stay. We also had some sort of animal scratching in the ceiling at night. The place was clean, staff friendly, and location was good. I think there may be families living here full time (assisted housing) as there were cars with loud music some nights which wasn’t great.

2nd time here. Great motel, friendly owner. Awesome service. Room 2as comfy, clean. However no sky cable tv but replace with Netflix and YouTube. Will definitely return when in Christchurch.

This is not a 5 star hotel. 3 at best, as it is getting run down, carpets wearing, our rooms were grubby and overdue for a decent clean, etc. therefore it is pricey for what you get. Rooms are roomy. Room was warm. Staff were friendly. Bed was hard. Parking on site. Netflix a draw card for me, but chairs weren't comfy. Milk was not enough for 2 people. Was "upgraded" to the the double bedroom (from the 1 bdrm that I wanted) for unknown/unexplained reasons. It was not the room I booked and it appeared I couldnt have the room I had booked - found that odd service. Overall it was ok for 1 night, close to shops and food places. Apparently, I didn't enjoy my stay here as seen by my mostly negative comments, so I won't be returning again.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment and it was great. Clean, comfortable, lots of room for the 4 of us (sleeps 6 people) very close to city and the lady in the office was welcoming and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in Christchurch.

Beautiful motel, absolutely loved our Christchurch getaway stay here. All the rooms are nicely furnished and have an elegant look.and setup. The lady at reception is very nice and bubbly and helped us with our queries and also suggested the places to see in Christchurch. Minimum to none road noise overnight and air-conditioned units. Room service does their jobs nicely too. We didn't receive the $35 refund which we were told will receive for staying for 2 nights or more yet. Hoping this will be rectified in due time. Nice and good quality appliances and utensils. Cooking facilities available. Outdoor BBQ area available too. Complimentary toiletries available. Overall lovely place. Great Central location.

Very tidy and clean motel, caring and helpful staff. Only issue was traffic noise at late nights and very early morning. May be double glazing the windows & doors will resolve the issue.

Rebecca was very accommodating after a mixup with bed configurations which occurred when I booked through wotif. Great stylish unit which almost felt apartment like and the kids loved that each tv had Netflix so they could watch something different. Will def be staying here again in the future.

Great place in a great location. Location was very central, close to shops, mall and restaurants. Rooms were very clean n tidy. Bed was comfy. Booked two rooms and both were upto a good standard. The receptionist was very lovely and marked few places where we could visit. Will definitely stay here again!

We were stuck in Christchurch, when the world borders closed with Covid 19. We had nowhere to stay and NZ was going into lockdown. My husband found Arthur’s Court Motor Lodge. We are so grateful to Leon, Vivien and Rebecca. We received an excellent sized room at an affordable price. We had cooking facilities as well as a shared laundry. They gave us excellent service and were always willing to help us. We ended up spending 5 weeks there and we are forever grateful. I thoroughly recommend staying here.

Stayed here for a night the person checking us in is very friendly and even suggest to us where to go . The room is clean and spacious especially the front pouch which make it easier access when uploading our luggages. Cosy and feel at home . Will definitely recommend to anyone coming to Christchurch. Will stay here next time I’m back .

The motel's open layout is very unique and refreshing. The motel is conveniently located in proximity to important services such as restaurants, pharmacy, convenience store etc. Popular attractions area not more than 20 minutes' drive. Staff is hospitable and courteous. We enjoyed our stay at Arthur's Court Motor Lodge and won't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

We are regular visitors to Christchurch and have stayed in a variety of places over the years. We returned just over an hour after and the room was ready with our luggage installed. Staff were very helpful & friendly. Great location to quickly head north in the morning and not have to go through the City Centre.

We were only passing through Christchurch and this motel was comfortable and convenient to local shops and restaurant. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful with tips on where to go and what to see. The room we were in was closer towards the road so there was some traffic noise especially on the Monday morning.

Don't get me wrong there are quite a few places to stay in Christchurch. The location is pretty good. Buses to the city are close by. Situated in a good location close to supermarkets, shops and restaurants it is a comfortable 20 minute …

Chose this motel for a recent long weekend based on favourable reviews and it's modern appearance. The ***ager was friendly and very helpful with suggestion for places to visit and restaurants. The host at the reception was lovely. Friendly owners who were great with tips for things to do and see.

It's a well-equipped motel with big rooms. The owners are friendly. Unfortunately, rooms are very noisy. While our stay we often had very loud chines neighbors especially during the night.

Immaculate and well designed. Close to Indian, Japanese restaurants and a good British style pub. Supermarket and petrol station there too. An easy car drive from the airport and a 20 minutes walk to City Centre. Excellent visit

We have experienced comfortable convenient accommodations. The person at the reception even had recommendations of where to go to eat and for sightseeing. The staff were friendly and gal fully pointed out the local shops and how to get back to the highway in the morning. Great value, clean and quiet.

Thanks for the excellent stay, Arthur's Court! Was considering to stay at Hermitage before this, but really, no need to do so at all - as the best view of the mountain ridges is outdoors, not from your bedroom, of which Arthur's Court already has a decent one. Also pleasantly surprised by a visit of few bunnies at the backyard area. So cute! Would definitely recommend to people who want to save money, enjoy good view and have equally pleasant stay at Mount Cook.

Very spacious and warm rooms with very comfortable bedding. If you want a bit more space in your room, this is the place to be not to mention the fastest WIFI internet and air-conditioning.

It was average accomadtion the owner of the motel was friendly and helpful but the rooms were poorly designed and their chef was on holiday. So we could not have the breakfast we paid for. Overall an aveage motel good for an overnight stay

Very professional. Good price and good communication

The room is OK but the reception is not friendly and not trusting their guest. She anticipated or have a perception as though generally, guest/s might post risk of taking from the motel room or breaking items that might be costly to them. I really felt insulted by that perception.

We booked Arthur's Court firstly due to the price but once we arrived it proved to be well above our expectations. All the staff we met were great and went out of their way to help. We hose this motel as it is About a 10/ 15 minute walk into the city centre.

Stayed in a room with a full kitchenette. It was clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful on our late check-in. The room was a sensible layout and the bed was comfortable.

Very cosy! Lovely lounge area to relax. The beds are a wee bit uncomfortable but cant be too picky as we thought we got alot for the ammount we paid. Very satisfied. Will be back.
