Nice big rooms at a decent price. It's about a 20 minute walk through the park to get to the central city as well. The entrance is a little weird to get to as it's not on the main road, but your nat sav will help get you there. Parking is available in a parking building connected to the motel but you have to park at the top. Rooms are great but could do with a lick of paint but that's all. There is a kitchenette, sofa, spa bath and shower, table and more. Currently there is no breakfast being served though and that hasn't been updated at Booking.com as we were only informed about this when we arrived. Front desk is not always manned so be prepared for that as well. Would be happy to stay again.

Great accommodation, clean tidy friendly staff

The staff are GREAT and the rooms 👌. I'm staying here for 5 weeks. The variety of meals from different restaurants are only minutes away and Hagley Park is only across the road to walk all those calories away.

Room was great, staff were brilliant. Only prob I had was trying to sleep at night esp on weekend. All I could hear was sirens , ppl noise and worse off was hoons racing up and down the streets all night. Maybe upgrade windows to double glazing to try minimize outside noise. Other than that. Brilliant, also with restaurants downstairs was great to eat at.

Very nice room and great service, especially when our microwave blew the power! Road noise was loud and sirens all night but otherwise comfortable bed and we'll equipped.

WOW, what a great find! I needed a relaxing place to stay before a flight back home, and found that the price of a room here ($93) was comparable to AirBnb's in people garage. Umm....it was a no-brainer. I got a NICE big room with a beautiful, clean bathroom - complete with a spa/whirlpool jets in the bathtub. The bed was comfy, and the kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, plus coffee, tea, and milk for the morning. TV had lots of channels. Free parking and easy check-in. Great customer service. I got WAY more than I expected from this hotel. Highly recommend!

Large spacious room, bathroom very trim and tidy, also generous in size. Decor was neat and tidy and for the price very good value. The walk though Hagley Park to the center of town late afternoon is delightful through very large oaks and other exotic trees. Takes a comfortable 15 minutes to walk to the center of town. Would book again.

Loved it here room was clean tidy the staff were amazing kept my room tidy everyday with clean towels etc my view was the best watching people going past in the park thanks for a great stay

My husband and I stayed here for a night after a late arrival in Christchurch. The room was spacious and clean, as well as having a variety of facilities. Trevor, the owner, was also very friendly and helpful, allowing us to store our bags after checkout.

Couldn't fault the room, it was lovely, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice, even had a spa bath. The only problem was boy racers, I could hear them though the early hours of the morning. The other up side is that the park straight across the road.

Very easy and smooth late check-in process, with the manager calling as soon as we had booked to let us know the process. Rooms were also spacious, clean and warm, and came with a lovely view of Hagley Park from the room's balcony. The only minor gripe would be the beds, which were unusually short, even for shorties like us (<5'5"), so maybe not the best option for especially tall patrons. Other than that it was great for an overnight stay!

The staff was very disorganised. They apologised explaining there had recently been a change of management. When I arrived I enquired about the complimentary gym access to which they didn't have any idea. They called me back about 5 minutes later to tell me that they have an agreement with a gym about 500m down the road but you have to be there before 7pm which is when the staff go home. This is because the gym is member only and they have no access, so basically you have stand outside and try to catch the gym staff eye so they will unlock the door for you. I booked though booking.com and I think that their information is a little misleading. It mentions there's an airport shuttle however what they mean by that is that they'll call you a taxi (which you'll pay for). Otherwise the room is big and nice enough. There's not necessarily a good view of the parklands but more so of the large intersection directly in front of the hotel. The glass is double glazed and reasonably soundproof but it can still be loud at night when the boy racers go past right outside your window. Parking is great.

Great location just across from Hagley Park, warm spacious rooms and close to some nice eateries. I would recommend staying there and will stay there in future.

Good, clean, quiet hotel. Great location for access to major chch city addresses. Good food opyions within walking distance. Parking avaulable. Dont bother with the optionally included breakfast at the semi attached pub, much better opyions for the money available nearby.

Nice rooms, especially the ones overlooking the park. Decent size too. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs, a dairy just down the road and plenty of parking.

(Translated) Large clean room. Unfortunately the room service forgot us and we had to get towels ourselves. Great bath tub, as long as you leave out the jets, because they catapult a lot of dirt into the tub, choke. Unfortunately there was a car race in front of the hotel until at least 1:30 a.m., so at least a catastrophe on Fridays, but the hotel can't help. (Original) Großes sauberes Zimmer. Leider hat uns der Zimmerservice vergessen und wir mussten uns selbst Handtücher holen. Tolle Badwanne, solange man die Düsen auslässt, denn die katapultieren jede Menge Dreck in die Wanne, würg. Leider gab es bis mind. 1:30 Uhr Autorennen vor dem Hotel, also zumindest freitags eine Katastrophe, aber dafür kann das Hotel nix.
