From what I hear the rooms are good too.
E.I had a very enjoyable Southern Cod on a savory potato bed with butter fried cabbage and tomato salsa accompanied with delicious crisp garlic beard. Stsff were very helpful and polite with s generous smile 😃
J.Great hotel, although it's more like a motel because if it's layout, but that's not as problem, also, if you look closely, you can see that it has the same buildings as the Camelot motel next to it, making it was probably the same place at one point.
F.Excellent conference facility - we had a national conference for our group which included conference facilities, accommodation, and dining. Affordable, good quality facilities and equipment provided, well catered and excellent staff support. The staff went above and beyond to assist the company and delegates to ensure their stay and conference experience went smoothly. Pavilions have gone the extra mile to ensure the place has character too, and a warm inviting atmosphere in its bar and restaurants. Walking distance to town and other amenities (dining, liquor store, shopping). Recommended.
R.I booked this hotel for our anniversary.
Overall I could not complain for what we paid.
The staff were very welcoming at check in and around the hotel / bar.
The room was nice and had the little luxuries like sky tv etc.
The outdoor spa was nice, clean and relaxing.
We had a beer and some food in the bar which was very homley, also it had lots of historic items around and a cool pool table on the ceiling.
To finish off the following morning we had the buffet breakfast which was amazing and a late check out.
We will be back next time we need a place to stay when partying again in town!

I enjoyed learning about the Horncastle family through pictures on the wall to reading old news letters. I didn't manage to read the book. However, I left feeling intrigued to learn more about the Horncastle family and what a privilege it was to witness their family legacy and stay in their family built accommodation. Thank you John, Gary Horncastle & Family and long standing staff.

Found staff very helpful and easy to deal with, room was great, restaurant and bar food good ,Which made life easy after some very long days.
BAR is themed with stuff about the families History that built and run the hotel today.
Lots of parking some of the spaces a bit tight if you have a large SUV but there was always some place to park up just not always out sided your room.
Would recommend and will stay there next time I'm in Christchurch.

K.Rooms we have stayed in are very clean and generous in size. Hotel staff are fantastic and very accommodating. Restaurant and room service meals are fanatics, large portions and reasonably price which was great for our long stay here.
Jimmy's Bar has an interesting aesthetic full of historical pieces and great stories. Almost like a museum, it was amazing.
Will definitely stay here many more times.

D.Very friendly staff, the bar food was excellent. Room comfortable and clean. Had room service breakfast, would order again, price resonable. Forgot to bring toothbrush and toothpaste the receptionist gave me a box containing toothbrush and toothpaste free of charge. Oh the pool was just the ticket on a very hot over 31 degrees day. Would highly recommend staying here.

D.We were very disappointed in the Pavilions Hotel and simply cannot understand how it achieved a 4 star rating. There is no lift available which means you have to carry your bags upstairs which maybe be okay for others but for us. Definitely not suited for disabled people. The duvet cover on the bed was dirty and one of the face clothes was badly stained. Breakfast was quite basic we felt there was limited choice for a 4 star Hotel. The hotel states rooms are spacious we felt they were quite small. Hotel is located a good 20 minute walk from the City so if you arrive and it is raining you would need a Taxi if you are wanting to go into the City. We have travelled many places in New Zealand and overseas and basing our comments on previous experiences.
P.Stayed for 2 weeks with work. Great crew to deal with. Cooked breakfast every day and the food out of the kitchen for dinner was amazing. Sampled just about everything on the menu. Will definitely be back. Cheers team.

D.Cool hotel with a creepy lounge in the front. Lmao. One of the quirkiness places I've been but it's such a different experience from going to a Hilton or Marriott. It's a must try. The room was clean and spacious. Enjoy!
M.Excellent. We arrived 4 hours early thinking we could ask the hotel if we could leave our bags there until we could check in. But the hotel already had our room ready!
J.Wasnt as nice as I was expecting, when we arrived they were washing the windows and the water came through the frames everywhere, it pooled inside front door on tiles which was slippery. The service was hit and miss depending on who you got. It was nice and clean tho
A.Stayed here quite a few times now and never disappointed. Rooms are always very clean and the staff are super friendly. My daughter and I have just enjoyed a dip in the pool and then warmed up in the spa
C.Lovely staff at reception. Parking very limited, not outside room. Felt like we had stepped back into 1990 when entering our room. Very outdated amenities, shower was awful, very low flow, kitchen was outdated. Boasting a spa bath, which when attempting to utilise, was making loud screeching noise with weak pressure. There was obviously a hot water cylinder in the room, any time hot water was used, a very loud ticking was heard in the walls between bathroom and kitchen, not pleasant when trying to sleep. Only modern amenity in the room was the flat screen TV.
Did however enjoy the outside spa pool, which was in view of the restaurant/bar area.
For the price we paid for one night (quite expensive) we would have expected at least a 4 star hotel, unfortunately not value for money.

Breakfast choices of full or continental. Rooms are always clean and tidy with self-contained bathrooms and kitchenette.
Friendly staff who are always willing to assist with bright cheery smiles.
T.Good service. Was not very impressed with room 805. Not too wheelchair friendly. Wife could not access the bedroom, I moved the lounge around and dragged the queen bed in from the bedroom. The doorway was just too narrow for her power chair.
D.Stayed here last night complimentary due to an unsatisfactory stay last time. Got a room upgrade which was still a bit bleak. Cleanliness of the bathrooms and rooms sure need looking into. Hair in and around the bath and on the bathroom floor, dusty bedside cabinets dirt and dust on light switches. Bed was very uncomfortable and like a rock. Cracked coffee mug. The best thing about this place would have to be the breakfast. The young girl training who checked us in was excellent and showed us the map to our room etc which was a nice personal touch. However check out a bit different. Probably won't come back to stay here again unless it was for a meal the accommodation side of it is a real let down. Could do with a great overhaul.

P.Great place to stay. Rooms are clean and well appointed, staff are polite and welcoming. Jimmys bar and restaurant is a great place to eat and drink. It's also a short walk to the centre of the city. We felt like we turned up as guest and left as friends. Will stay there next time we visit.
t.The Pavilion is starting to look very aged in areas but great value for one night. Had full cooked breakfast buffet the next morning, this was awesome and had so much choice.

M.This evening friends from Oamaru were staying at the Pavillion. We were invited to come and have some refreshments. To my surprise was almost a museum in the casual part of the restaurant and it was most impressive.
Really this post is about the history that the owners have captured and have on display.
See for yourself and stay there it was not too bad.
The hotel is spacious and has very nice rooms.
R.The service at this hotel is great. They are awesome at accommodating people, even when we are a little difficult. The location isnt amazing for me, but I also socialize in a different part of Christchurch and I walk, so I am biased. The rooms are also pretty spacious and quite comfortable. The pool and hot tub also look quite nice.
M.The people here are so amazing! They will do what they can to make sure your stay is great. I would definitely stay here again. It is about a 20-30 min walk to the center of the city. The accommodations here are also really good. Nice clean rooms and an easy layout. The 3 Kelly's working night shift were especially great to us.

S.From the moment we arrived we were amazed at the treatment we received. The staff treated us like we were old family friends and always had a smile for us. The rooms were really good, and very warm considering it was snowing. The restaurant were very accommodating. We didn't have a booking but the seated us anyway and the food was fantastic. Overall, the whole stay was wonderful. Thanks to the staff for treating us like old mates.
G.Pavilions is centrally located, making it easy to walk to a lot of malls, restaurants and parks. Its own restaurant is really good, and both this and the accommodation side are staffed by cheerful and adept personnel.
P.Great place to stay. Has a good dipping pool, and a spa. The on site gym was handy for those with tight schedules. Good food and service. On site bar is also a great place to wind down.
N.Staff are absolutely fantastic. Nothing was a problem. However if we had net curtains up we would have felt not so conspicuous, our room not the cleanest and noisy...hear next door snoring.
J.Excellent place we stayed for two nights and both really enjpyed our stay also the restaurant had excellent food and friendly staff. Only minor things stoping a 5 star review we stayed valentines day and we could not park neer our room. People next door argued most of the night and door was slammed a couple of times. And when we were checking out my mrs had to show receptionist a back statement showing we had all ready payed which i found un professional but over all excellent place and we will be back
S.I've stayed at pavilions 3 times now, currently in the third stay, and it is brilliant. Beds are high quality, there is free high cap wifi, and the restaurant and bar are also lovely. The room we are in, one of the two bedroom suites (800-12) is incredibly cozy while still being nozy. Only criticism i can give is that our shower was quite difficult to use properly, with the spout being stuck over 2 metres in the air, making it hard to wash properly. There is also a room wide window directly above the bathtub, which was very revealing. However, the hotel is outstanding and I would definitely stay again.

C.The room was ok overall. It was a bit noisy sometimes. You could hear noises from the other room and it was close to the road so traffic noise. The jetted tub was extremely noisy when we turned it on so didnt feel comfortable using it. Bed was comfortable but room felt a bit confined as curtains had to be drawn for privacy all the time. Service was friendly and professional.
A.The staff where friendly & helpful, The room was nice and clean and reasonable size. The only disappointment was..we expected a fully stocked mini fridge & as stated 24 hr room service but neither was available
B.Good for families, but not really quiet or private enough for business or romantic trips due to the family units being scattered amongst the smaller units. Delux unit was clean and tidy but a bit on the small side with a very noisy hot water cylinder.

S.Staff friendly from reception to restaurant, but disapointed that I got my seafood chowder at the same time my mains. By the time I finish my chowder my chicken salad was cold even tho both meals were nice. Just something I wanted to point out.

M.Nicely done. Well situated between the airport and central Christchurch. Quality cottages and above average service. Whirlpool baths but bathrooms do need better cleaning. Some hairs were found and the bath jets spewed out black particles. Buffet breakfast is a bit expensive at $25NZ/EA. There are other accommodation options.
J.Room has just been refurbished to a really high standard and was very comfortable. Everything needed was provided and the breakfast excellent. Staff were friendly. Certainly a place to return to for us.

S.Our room was very clean and big with 2 Queen Beds. But the pool is too tiny and the wifi connection was poor until we have to walk to the reception and do some works there. But at least they provided free parking even free wifi was poor.

I.I am staying here for work,at 2 bedroom apartment with ensuite kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen appliances quite complete too.
