Lovely artsy hotel to stay at. Check in and out was nice and fast. Our room had a nice view looking over the city. The room had a nice aesthetic and style.
A couple of little things that stopped this from getting 5 stars:
- we tried but couldn't turn the air conditioning off. Even turning it on heat mode didn't seem to do much. I'd like to turn it off completely.
- the carpets in the hallway and on the walls of the elevators is a nice soft pink color, but that colour stains easily so looks quite dirty
Overall a nice place to stay!

Location is easy to find. Free parking is an added bonus and front office staff Charles is always very helpful. . Downside is the lift is always serviced and the curtains are interchanged or was it their style 😻. . Overall experience is good. .

Pink Lady Roof top bar experience, great views. $20 cocktaiks if you can afford it, staff looked after us. Tasty food, Limited seating so need to book.
J.
Nice hotel but the rooftop bar was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays which were the nights I stayed. My view was horrible but my work mates got beautiful views from their rooms. Just luck of the draw.
D.
Excellent hotel. Has a great Art theme all around it with attention to detail.
Upon arrival very welcoming friendly young lady on reaction. All the staff actually were super friendly and genuinely chatty taking an interest in the customer.
Rooftop bar a definite must do as well.
Rooms are awesome with a high end finish.
Liked the coffee machine, bath robes and the bed is extremely comfortable.
One of the best hotels i have stayed in for quite a time. Definitely be back
R.
Nice modern hotel. Most rooms facing east with views towards Banks Peninsula. Great for sunrises. Rooftop bar does have better views of sunsets, was very busy when we visited.
Parking available on site $+ on top of room rate. Easy walking to all areas of the central city.
Central heating was hard to work out to keep the room cool especially with the sun beaming in, no windows to open. Stayed above 20c and a little stuffy at times.

Really clean, modern and open space that’s tailored their aesthetic really well to what they are trying to achieve! The decor in the rooms is stunning with the matching colours on beds, chairs and art work and was beautifully clean. The rain shower pressure wasn’t as good as I would have hoped for but that does come down to personal preference - but all in all I found my stay really exceeded expectations and I would absolutely go back again

I stayed here for a week whilst visiting Christchurch for a work trip. My experience was a bit of a mixed bag. With the exception of one shift manager, all of the staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. My room was a reasonable size with good amenities. The shower room was a nice size but, for me, the shower itself could do with a little more water pressure. My bed was quite uncomfortable and, as a result, I didn't get very restful sleep.
It'd be great if the hotel could run a dinner/room service - it's a bit difficult to go and eat healthy food when you're on your own in a new City. If the hotel offered this, I definitely would've used it.

We had an amazing staycation to celebrate my husband's birthday (and our first night away from our 1 year old!). The staff knew it was a big occasion for us, and went out of their way to make it extra special. Beautiful rooms and facilities - we will definitely be back!
K.
Perfect location for us to walk to the different areas in the cbd. Cool rooftop bar. Comfy rooms. Friendly staff. Cool art.

Room was nice, on corner of building with good views. Clean and tidy, with good size shower. Unable to get ice when requested-said not available despite rooftop bar. Had to go on a wait list to get access to rooftop bar despite being hotel guests. No windows that open-I like a window open when I sleep ( use earplugs if traffic noise). Unable to get information as to how to control heating/AC in room. No control on fridge-wine put in at 3pm was still not cold at 10pm. Location was excellent-7 minute walk to riverfront cafes and bars, with a few bars in the other direction even closer. Charged $17 per night to park.

We liked the location and the decor of this hotel. However, we booked a superior king room and found that the bed was big, but the room was rather small.
What we found most disappointing though was that upon arrival, we weren't given any information other than the room key - not even check-out times. The room had no information book about local eateries, activities, or even room service. The mini bar was empty, even though there were wine glasses and crockery for eating, but no information on how to get food and drink. It was a bit strange. It kind of just felt like the experience was half-finished.
Great location and decor, but just was a bit incomplete. Has so much potential, so hopefully they can make the small improvements and this will be a total winner!

I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Despite being brand new, the staff was extremely seasoned and professional. The facility is extremely well located and the room amenities are well thought out.
We stayed here a few days after the hotel opened. Super professional staff with a "can-do" attitude. Our requests (extra coffee pods, more bar soap) were all addressed very quickly, we had a smart breakfast delivered to our room every morning. We felt the hotel was built to a high standard, and the little things that normally annoy us were not an issue here. Hooks for towels, no noise between rooms, GREAT lighting, nice bathroom fixtures, super absorbent towels. Would love a compendium on how to adjust the room temperature.
B.
Great hotel! Bed super comfortable and gorgeous marble bathroom and well priced especially for the location. The only gripe I have was my room unfortunately has quite a loud air conditioning unit which can be frustrating. But the staff are super friendly and helpful and gave me some ear plugs.
N.
What a fantastic hotel. Great service, pleasant staff, bar on the roof, fantastic views. We were told that it was one of the buildings that survived the earthquake and prior to the earthquake it had been an office block. We will certainly be staying there the next time we go to Christchurch.
B.
The room was styled quite nicely, and we had a good view as we were on level 6, however, the room had a really bad smell that we couldn't seem to get rid of.
We booked the Superior King Room which included breakfast, unfortunately, our flight got changed, and we weren't able to use that service.
The really disappointing thing for me, was we booked through Booking.com, when the hotel charged our card, they charged us an amount $40 more than we had booked for. When I called to ask why, they couldn't explain it. It has been two days and I have not heard back from them as to why we were charged a higher rate than we had booked.
It was a disappointing way to end our otherwise nice stay. The service just wasn't up to a good standard.

Muse was a nice boutique hotel. The location was great as it is central to CBD and you can pretty much walkaround anywhere. The room we stayed in was nice, spacious ans clean. They serviced it daily and we get fresh towels and replenish some small items (coffee bullet etc.). Staffs that we've dealt with in front of desk were accomodating and hospitable. Our stay included a breakfast but it is limited to eggs and granola. Parking comes with a cost and often a battle on first come first served. Busy lobby on Friday/Saturday nights due to rooftop bar. Overall, we had a really nice stay. I just wished that if we paid for parking we get a dedicated parking.
S.
The best service ever, my service dog had a relaxing two days, I'd go again. Only disappointment was I asked to go to the roof top bar. They said yes, only once I got as far as the lift would go, I found in a wheelchair I couldn't get to the roof as stairs get you to the roof on the last level, why wouldn't they tell me that before I tried ? We had water coming through the light fitting from the room above, not a problem. I was still very happy

My wife and I stayed the night at your fantastic hotel for our 18th Wedding Anniversary. The service and hospitality from your staff is second to none. The cooked breakfast at the Cafe was top notch and much needed as well as the the coffee is so good I had two! We would also like to have Oliver and Rob working at the Pink Lady Bar acknowledged for their great attitude and service as nothing at all was an issue for them with their outgoing and positive attitude. We will surely be back again to enjoy everything you have to offer. I will be personally telling friends and family of my great experience here. Thank you, Sam and Dairne.

Located within easy walking distance of shops and bars/restaurants. Really well appointed rooms with lots of little extra details. The artworks throughout the hotel are a fabulous feature and the soon to open rooftop bar will definitely make this a winning place to stay. The staff are super helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Looking forward to staying here again soon.
f.
We had the most fabulous meal here in the café downstairs. My gosh! Could not fault it, plenty of healthy options that have a new design to them on the in-house menu ~ seriously
' Eat here, you will return!' The cabinet food is equally delicable 😋 The two front of house staff are super friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about their business.
A.
Slightly unusual, though I’d recommend staying. Great location, with brilliant access to the centre of town. Parking is available and may cost (though I wasn’t charged over the holiday period).
There’s a super friendly (and very chatty) live-in night receptionist, who’s super helpful.
I think the place was very new, but some things were a little odd - there was an ironing board, but no iron; lots of pillows, but half didn’t have pillow cases until the second night; climate control was customisable, but settings didn’t seem to do anything (and the panel buzzed); a manual for something was left in the bathroom sink.
Music also played in the corridors quietly (but loud enough to hear in the rooms) from 9-5. The TV only has a couple of channels, and HDMI is only accessible from the back. Shower pressure was adequate, but low.
The bed was super comfy, wifi fast, bathroom was lovely, and we loved the location. Would stay again.

Cocktails were so good and the waiter was really helpful at pink lady
S.
Had an awesome stay, rooms were really clean. Comfy bed awesome shower and the staff were quick to solve any issues we had. Walking distance to the city centre and free parking. Will definitely be back soon 👍
T.
Excellent hotel! Clean, modern, well appointed, and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance to the central city, hospital, and some great restaurants. Highly recommend!

Stayed here the past few days, for our 50th birthdays. Can't fault the place: friendly reception, beautiful decor, and super clean! What I liked about this place was the character of it, most hotels are so bland. This hotel has different art on each floor, we had the pleasure of having Marilyn Monroe in our room! They are in the process of building a roof top bar/restaurant and a breakfast cafe, can't wait to go back and see it! Even the little touches were thought of: make up mirror in the immaculate and modern bathrooms, continental breakfast delivered to our room, super comfortable bed, big size tv with all the channels, and even bathrobes! I would recommend this place to anyone coming to Christchurch, wanting to be close to the centre.
e.
Stayed here and was wonderful, new and well fitted out. Beds super comfy with pillows you want to take with you. Breakfast was delicous and worth taking the time over. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend staying here for work or night out on the town.
V.
Old, ugly elevator with no mirrors was uncomfortable to be in. No ice for drinks in room. Rooms are very small and dark. Got woken by loud power tools somewhere in the building. Rooftop was closed. Good location but will not be returning.
Z.
Great place to stay in the heart of the city. Clean, comfortable modern rooms, staff very pleasant and helpful, will definitely be staying here again if we need to stay in the city.
S.
Incredible hotel, staff were wonderful and the room was just perfect...so quiet, clean and luxurious. The views of the city from the hotel are perfect and it is so close to everything you could possibly want. So pleased I chose to stay here and will definitely be back soon.
E.
Fantastic service, beautiful views and fabulous cocktails...well worth a visit!
l.
What a great spot, very pleased with the hotel and room. comfortable, warm, quiet and well-appointed.
a stone through to the city bars and restaurants.
we just stayed the night but will be back again, our new favourite in Christchurch.
M.
Stayed one night. Flag pole ropes outside banging in the wind all night topped off with a terribly uncomfortable mattress on the bed. Complementary tea = TWO tea bags. Were told that there were only 12 car parking spaces which we had got one of but upon leaving saw there were cars jammed in around ours making it difficult to get out.
K.
Nice clean hotel. For one night stay not to bad. Central for most things in Christchurch. Parking came at an additional $17 per day.
P.
A new hotel, in easy walk to many places to enjoy.
Close to the bus station, and many eatery's.
Good size room, and choice of a rain shower,or conventional, an additional feature. Suitable breakfast delivery to your room.
Would stay again.

The hotel by itself is very nice, modern, new and clean. I had only one isse with one of their staff - I tried to call to extend our stay but the man told me they were fully booked without any further offer. Because I didn't like how he talked to me, I checked Expedia server (where we booked originally) and was able to book any room in the hotel. When we checked in this person was in the front desk - I knew it because of the voice and the behaviour. The way he talked to us was not professional and we didn't feel welcomed. It was the end of our holidays in the South Island and this experince didn't finish it very nice. This person also checked us out and when I returned the keys, he only said "it is all good". No questions how did we like the place, no communiction. This is not how you should behave if you are a face of the hotel.
M.
Loved the shower! Great value for money. Staff really helpful and friendly. Nice continental breakfast delivered to your room. Great stay, would stay again.
L.
Love staying at the Muse.Always stay here when I visit Christchurch. Awesome friendly staff and a great hotel. Highly recommend this hotel
D.
Beautiful Hotel, the interior design and attention to detail is gorgeous. The staff are all incredibly helpful and are true examples of superior hospitality. Highly recommended staying here. A great option for a staycation for locals to take advantage of as well.
M.
Great place to stay, cant say the same for the Pink Lady attached to the Muse, they seriously need training in customer service and in general there job, there appeared to be no structure or anyone in charge, the person who served me
for coffee on our last morning was the exception, she was great, I think she have been Canadian
R.
Good central location with good rooms. Staff were very obliging and nothing was a problem at all
M.
Just went to the Cafe. Basic appearance with some art for sale on the walls. Food was very good. Had lunch and a coffee. No parking so plan ahead.
S.
Room was beautiful, comfy and tidy. Could not turn air con down so froze until I went to sleep. Highly recommend though
B.
FROM check in to check out everything was great.... the only downside... try putting up the ironing board and open the wardrobe doors to iron clothes... the room is very tiny.
Z.
Great place to stay.. really neat hotel. But the drinks at the roof top bar was a bit pricey..
M.
Good concept cheap boutique Hotel, well appointed for the price
D.
Hot water didn't work and needed fixing, tv didn't work and never got fixed - but we weren't there to watch tv, otherwise a good experience.
S.
Stayed here twice and enjoyed both stays. Friendly staff and really nice rooms.
