H.Hight recommend to people wanting to catch the train from Christchurch. It is close to the train station and few minutes drive to the garden and city.
Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The owner was helpful and friendly. She upgraded us to a two bedrooms because there is one available.
Fantastic place to stay and good value for money
V.For work and personal I believe this spot is in the top 5 of positive experiences. Great location, value for money, ample space, great bed and shower water pressure was perfect. Little kitchen is amply supplied. Thanks, will definitely use them again.
B.Nice and clean, comfortable furniture, noisy in front unit but not a problem in bedrooms. Wifi shocking which is why I did 3 stars. But lots of Sky channels - decrease the number and fix wifi?
D.Phyllis was a lovely welcoming host. Really nice unit, very comfortable bed. Very handy to Westfield Riccarton for shopping and great location for Christchurch railway station for Tranz Alpine (and Coastal Pacific). Phyllis very kindly took us to the station as well. Highly recommend.
R.Owner was very friendly and accommodating -even when I had to change our bookings. We booked out three rooms for the family in the end. The rooms are very nice -but more importantly clean. Great location for access to a lot of places and overall everything was just spot-on! Would definitely stay there again -and highly recommend others consider it

L.A very friendly and welcoming visit from the proprietor. She was a delight to talk too. Room was lovely and well appointed. Complex is right on a busy road, but didnt hear anything, and slept soundly. Very close to Train Station and the Riccarton Mall, and also not far from airport.
Will definitely stay again

R.What a wonderful cozy place. After several flight delays getting to New Zealand, the owner was my first real interaction with a local. And she made the whole journey worth it. What a super nice lady! She gave me an amazing room upgrade and was very helpful pointing out things to do and see in the city. This is the place you want to stay.
D.Location of the room was perfect, quiet and private. The service was good, as the manager needed to make up the sofa bed, which she did when we were at our social event. The bathroom was lovely, but was an ensuite and the toilet was too close to the vanity, needed more room. The private balcony was handy cos I'm a smoker.
D.Very nice to stay at but time for an upgrade in the pillows! We had 4 in our unit and every one felt like concrete. They have been washed so often the stuffing was solid! Tried to teese one out a bit but very hard work and didn't really make a lot of difference!!! Felt like I had my head on a pile of horse hair!!!

It is a small family owned motel and what I loved the most about it is that the owner is exceptionally nice. I arrived a little bit late than the required hour but they still waited for me.
Originally I had very low expectation because my impression about a motel is always average. But I was surprised to see that the room was very clean and spacious. Maybe because it was renovated. The motel is next to train station and is not far from the city center. I had my own car and took less than 5 minutes to get to town.
Certainly if you want to compare it with five star hotel which I personally have stayed a lot for business travel, the amenities of a motel are definitely not comparable. But remember it is just a motel and it is probably the best value for money motel I have ever stayed.
I would totally recommend my friends and would stay there again next time if I ever go back to Christchurch.
B.We are at Christchurch and stayed here for 2 nights. The location is easy to locate and access to Pak n Save or New World is easy. The rooms for 3 friends were big and quite equipped. The rooms are clean too. The owner, Phyllis is friendly and approachable .
D.A local motor inn on a main road and within a brush walk or short bus ride to Christchurch Central. Locally owned and operated. Nice sized rooms with just what you need for a quiet night's sleep but also enough to rain in you want to. Wifi works well. Bike hire and tourist information is easily accessible and the local knowledge of the operators is priceless.
A little road noise but thick glass and curtains mean a good night's sleep is ensured. We actually slept in past 8am twice!
Plenty of warm blankets and hot water means you'll always be fresh and tasty for another day exploring the South island
Y.Room was clean and welcoming. Staffs were friendly and nice. Cutting board and scissors weren't provided in the kitchen, which makes cooking less convenient. Overall this is a nice place to stay.
R.We stayed 7 days here. Room was adequate.
However 7 days without WiFi. Could not get WiFi in room 111.
The TV in lounge was faulty thru the remote.
The TV in bedroom was not connected.
The cooking pot handles were falling off. We had to fix them.
B.Very close to train station, free pickup from there, nice and clean room. And the lady there was super nice.
K.The rooms are very clean and practical. There is pretty much a kitchen except for an oven. There is a guest laundry and it's fairly close to everything as long as you have a car. There is still some car noise from the road but overall a good stay
c.Lovely motor lodge. Very clean. Could be noisey with road front rooms but our back room was quiet. Host very friendly with drop off and collection from train station. She was even nice enough to hold our room so on return we had the same room. Would definitely stay again.

S.If you are looking for a spotlessly clean motel, this is the place for you. A wonderful surprise to walk into such a lovely clean room with nice modern decor. The host entered room with us to check cleaner had completed the job of cleaning and not left anything. Bonus that we were given a ride to the station on morning of departure as part of the service. Definitely recommend this motel.
T.Great location for Tranzalpine with complimentary shuttle to the station. Warm and comfortable with everything you need and more. I particularly appreciated the bathrobe provided. More than happy to recommend.

S.Great service. Good, clean room with required self-service facilities. The receptionist (probably owner) was nice enough to drop us off to Addington railway station to catch the TranzAlpine Express the next morning. I would definitely come back here again.

But you need to indicate your actual number of person staying, as we booked a 2 bedroom suit but forgot to change the number of person to 4, We paid an extra of NZD 40 when we checked in!

P.No false advertising here. It's a Motel just as you expect. We were in a large group and able to get some extra guests in the room with a bed set up in the lounge room. So it was good value and just what you would expect in a basic Motel.
J.The room is clean and comfortable. Derrick and his colleague are very helpful. We got a free upgrade of room to a 2 rooms unit. The free wifi is strong. There is a Chinese restaurant (madam kwong restaurant) nearby that Derrick recommended me, I think the food is good too.

H.Clean, warm, quiet, well appointed and extremely comfortable motel. I would recommend this hotel as a place to stay if visiting christchurch. Great location and easy to find. It is easy walking distance from Riccarton Mall for shopping and supermarket food. There is also fast food close by. The motel has rental bikes (safety helmets included) that we used to cycle into town through Hagley Park. This was an easy way to see there downtown area as Christchurch is flat and there are cycles lanes everywhere. I would stay in this motel again without hesitation.
