q.Have stayed here many times before and came back for the first time after the Covid madness. Truly a home away from home. Chris even remembered me after such a long gap. Just a wonderful place run by top class people for whom nothing is trouble to help the guests.
S.The front of house team were very friendly and prompt when we arrived to check-in.
I had booked the stay as a birthday treat. The location is great for wandering in to town and it has on-site parking which is handy.
The room was excellent - spacious, very comfortable and clean. I was very pleased to have a spa bath too!
There is an established courtyard garden to relax in also.
A.Epic service - modern warm units. Loved the comfy bed & high pressure shower!!! The complimentary lavender bath salts & home baking were such a lovely bonus. Highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for a motel in Dunedin. So easy to find & super close to university end of town. Thanks Chris & Adrienne for making our stay so awesome.
T.I agree with this being the cleanest hotel I have stayed in. Friendly staff. Very modern. Lovely bedding and kitchen in the two bedroom apartment fully stocked with what you need. Even a compost container. Love the separate recycle bin as well. Overall great experience.
B.Man, what a well run motel. You’re given a walkthrough of your room by management (who else does that?). We had delicious home made welcome cookies waiting for us. The room was very well maintained and impeccably clean. Sky TV available in case you’re stuck inside a rainy public holiday and you want to watch South Park.

I was travelling with someone in a moon boot and Chris (one of the owners) suggested that we take the room with the stall shower on the ground floor, so very attentive and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area. Centrally located and convenient.
T.Definitely 5 star and highly recommended! With a strict hygiene standard, it’s not easy for me to find a thoroughly clean and comfortable accommodation when traveling. M.Our stay at Aurora on George was excellent. The owners were welcoming and helpful. We stayed in the Garden Executive room. The room was beautiful, modern, spotless and very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and everything worked perfectly. The location was excellent, we walked to restaurants and sights.
M.Modern immaculately presented and extremely clean Studio Unit, fresh decor and view to private motel garden, handy to town and dining, good quality cafe and restaurant on site, everything in motel studio we could have needed, friendly and very helpful owners and staff, great to have off-street parking on site, everything worked perfectly. One of the best we have ever stayed at.

V.Rooms are clean, the garden is so beautiful specially in spring with those blossoms and flowers. Good location. Only the laundry service was a bit complicated as they don't offer the service unless you ask for. They offer you guest laundry which is not convenient for every customer.

Free car parking on site. Gardens, trees and water features surround the rooms giving tranquil feel. Health and Safety also sustainability policies in place. 1 GB WiFi free per day. Friendly and helpful staff.
M.Aurora on George is perfectly located, 10 minutes to walk to the city centre of Dunedin. The staff is very friendly and supportive. Rooms are perfectly equipped - the kitchen contains all whiteware/accessoires you need for a short or longer stay, Wifi works very well, bathroom with great Spa-bathtub...just great. Rooms are extraordinarily clean and the service is perfect. Rooms are very nicely furnished and cozy. A heatpump makes it nicely warm. The hotel is highly recommendable for business as well as private travellers.
J.We loved our 2-night stay at Aurora on George. We had a ground floor studio which was very comfortable. While we did not get much afternoon sun, we were located next to the garden area which was lovely to sit in and relax. We found the customer service to be brilliant and the room had a very high level of cleanliness. The wi-fi worked well and was just what we needed. We highly recommend staying at Aurora on George.

Did not like to get into a bath to have a shower, the extractor fan was excessively noisy, the curtains at the door could not close all the way.

G.We have just come home from an awesome two nights in Dunedin both of which were spent at the Aurora on George motel. The room was clean, new, comfortable and, as it was winter, very warm and cosy. It was very modern with a full kitchen available for us to use if needed...including a slow cooker! Andy and Cristal are amazing hosts, friendly, helpful and professional. If you are looking for a decent place to stay in Dunedin that's close to town, clean, modern and a place to call home while away from home then this is it!

H.Very modern and comfortable suite, bed was lovely. Only issues were that one bathrobe was missing it's tie around string thing, and also being woken up mid sleep by what I think was a flock of seagulls walking around on the roof making a ruckus.
