Great team of staff…very friendly. Under the circumstances of Covid we were very happy with our stay. Room was great for us. Would go back and stay again.

Excellent service from the front of house staff made the difference for me and balancing a busy work schedule .From calling taxis, giving advice and other items all staff were professional and timely. I was working at night and the room originally booked for me was not suitable for the length of time I was working form the room . The reception staff on arrival spent the time required to ensure I could move to another room and be able to stay in the room for the week (hotel was heavily booked as main tourist time) ., rather than just taking the easy option and saying there was no room available for the week . I appreciated his effort.

Great location and friendly staff. The hotel itself needs a renovation as the rooms are quite dated. Restaurant was clean and breakfast was pretty good. I can’t say the same thing about the room as it was dusty and the carpets weren’t the cleanest (at least in our room). A lot of cafes and restaurants around the hotel. Free wifi is available, which is great. Parking will cost you $18.00 per day but the hotel provides you valet parking for this price.

Room was spacious and so hot. King size bed was really comfy. Disappointed we were not advised at time of booking that breakfast was not in the main dining area and no option of a la carte. However what we had was nice. Cafe area not particulary warm though.

Great amazing fantastic food and waitservice, large servings, best bacon ever. Spotless room with cloud soft bed and blankets, nice soap, and milk in fridge (yes!). And 24hr room service is great for biz trips. It may not be showy but everything is exactly as it should be. Would absolutely come again.

Central location, free WiFi, great selection of teas in the room. The room itself is very big. Air ventilation needs improvements since the windows don’t open. A confusion with the hotels payment policy was a negative moment of my stay. I expected more cold selections for breakfast but overall breakfast was ok. Some staff are very polite and friendly

Best place in Dunedin to stay top floor 810 stayed there twice loved it. Great views. Nice ,helpful ,professional,staff. Just the cleans don't smile or say hi. They do a great job cleaning the rooms but would be nice if they smiled and replied back when you say hi. Other than that fantastic place highly recommend it.

Rooms clean and comfortable. Get a room at the back if you don't want to hear street noise all night. Food didn't match the standard of other Scenic hotels and restaurant staff were both rude to multiple guests and delivered inefficient service at both dinner and breakfast.

There was lots of traffic noise on the Saturday night, same cars driving up and down Princess Street and voices in the early hours. I understand this is out of your control and I was positioned at the front of the hotel. The room was comfortable and warm The bed was very comfortable Amenities where excellent, liked the filtered coffee in the room Breakfast supplied was good

I was attending a conference in Dunedin and was booked into the Scenic Hotel Dunedin. The building was pleasant and the room contained all the necessary items for a home away from home. The truly outstanding feature of the hotel is their attention to detail and flawless customer service. It really is the little things that make a great hotel standout. A warm smile, an attentive front desk and a staff full of people who are genuinely interested in you having a great stay.

A good hotel in the centre of the city, close to the Octagon and all other Dunedin amenities. Wifi is free. The rooms are large with comfy beds, good facilities and excellent service. The breakfast buffet was lukewarm but the espresso coffee is good. Recommended.

Hotel staff is so nice. Even though there is no parking available, the valet service is outstanding. 24x7 they will park and fetch your car, well worth the price so you don't have to feed a meter. Rooms are spacious and quiet. Very clean.

Lovely location right next to everything close to octagon, convinent store open 24 hour, movie cinema, bars and restaurant it was just a perfect location. Rooms were nice and spacious and the beds were luxe. Being local me and wife managed to have a kids free weekend and staying at the hotel allowed us to unwind and forget about the kids for one day and it was definitely relaxing. Definitely be coming back in future.

I enjoyed my stay, the only little bit of feedback is regarding the meal I had in the hotel restaurant. The main was served in a bowl which made it awkward to use a knife and fork, should have been served on a regular plate. The meal itself was lovely.

Terrific staff, top quality and friendly. The rooms were beautiful and very clean. Well organised and the dinner we had here was the best we had all tour, lovely breakfast.

This hotel is fine for a few days. Its showing its age a little. I refused to pay the parking charge, $17 per night, and parked on street instead. This is a lot cheaper if you are going to be out all day. I'm GF and there was a pretty good choice on the menu. They have had GF cereal and that is not common. The service was fine too so all in all not a bad place to stay.

We loved our stay. The view over the harbour was nice with all the lights at night. Very comfy bed and spacious room. Staff were very professional and friendly. We were close to the hotels and shops and railway station.

Excellent central Dunedin Hotel with modern amenities & bedrooms & very comfortable beds. The staff are helpful & work well together. Food was good & the city of Dunedin is available on the doorstep. Laundry, Bar & free WiFi with the package. We'd stay there again if we came to the city.

We enjoyed two adjoining rooms on the 6th floor. It had wonderful views, spacious rooms, neat and clean. All the amenities are modern and the rooms are quiet. The hotel and hotel staff is friendly and knowledgable/helpful. We did not eat at the hotel but we did use it as a base to eat in the Octagon which is just a minute or two down the street by foot. It is a great location. We certainly would stay here again. We have stayed in other locations in Dunedin previously and this was by far one of our best experiences.

Room decent, although I had a much better sleep on the 3rd night when I took the soft underlay off the bed - too soft, mattress underneath was really comfy. Ordered room service for dinner and breakfast - very disappointing. Vegetarian lasagne was burnt around edges, vege breakfast was disgusting - could only eat the eggs, the other components were visually unappealing and tasted just as bad. Accommodation fine, work needed on food!

Large tidy hotel rooms with pleanty of space to spread out your gear. Unfortunately the rooms do not have air condition but do have heating. The freindly members of the staff team are always welcoming and very helpful. Normally a very pleasant experience staying here.

Scenic has a great location in Dunedin. Everything you might need is in walking distance. Rooms are clean and decent. Internet is on the slow side considering Dunedin has one of the highest speed ratings in the region. Get up early for breakfast if the motel has a bus tour coming through. If you're flying out of the Airport near Momona, you'll have to book a shuttle in advance.

The hotel was great - we had a really pleasant suite with nice views over Dunedin. The staff were friendly and gave some of the best customer service I have had from hotels for a long time. The restaurant evening meal was good value and we'll presented.

One of my very favourite places to stay anywhere in the world, the staff are really great, friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable, clear and those on the harbour side have wonderful views. This is not a luxury hotel, it is comfortable place to stay, to work and to enjoy Dunedin, the location is excellent with good restaurants closed by.

Great location, and close to all the shopping with very friendly staff. Our room had a beautiful view over Dunedin Harbor. Our bed was super comfy and the room was spotless. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

A very nice clean hotel ideally placed for what we wanted which was to be close to most things. We had made a mistake with our booking but Christopher was excellent. He sorted it out with little to no trouble which is want you want as a customer. Great service.

Room was spacious, staff bent over backwards to ensure we were comfortable and also gave us a late check out to make traveling easier for us. Will definitely be back. Many thanks :-)

Genuinely Nice people on the front desk and attentive wait staff in the restaurant. The room was as expected, clean, tidy and the usual marvel of mini-living with enough room for two intimate people to walk in tandem around the room and through doors. There is a full Les Mills gym two doors down the hill, an a bunch of funky cafes, bookstores, record stores, and interesting bars and restaurants. Easy walk to a large Mall, the Octagon (town centre). Parking is easy after business hours, and it can be convenient to walk everywhere with your car locked away by the Valet in their underground car-park.

Enjoyed my stay here. Great location, great room, great staff. Only thing I didn't really like is parking is not included and charging guests $15.00 per day parking is too much in my opinion.

Good sized, warm room, comfy bed, helpful staff. Good breakfast options. Nice dining room. Easy checkout. I had to rush, so just passed my keys to the desk staff and I was away. Good quality Wi-Fi. It didn't bother me, but although the TV was a good size it was a lo-def service. Seesm to be common in NZ. Good news is that it meant I didn't waste any time in front of the goggle-box.

Scenic Hotels always delivers unpretentious kiwi service and a consistent product. Staff are helpful and attentive without being obsequious and the rooms are of a good quality without unnecessary frills. Free unlimited wi-fi greatly appreciated.

Located in the city center, the room is spacious with a good view from its windows. Clean and neat. The staffs are also very helpfull and friendly. They give us a lot of information about the penguins :)

Great service, nice big room, very clean and comfortable. Issues with the WIFI however, very slow and constantly dropping out - made working very difficult.

The hotel is centrally located and great for having a chance to walk around in Dunedin. It was exceptionally clean, and the staff were lovely, helpful, and friendly.

Good 3 star but no more. Stuffed up account and had to charge another $13 as we signed out. Not a money issue but you wonder if they did it on purpose to keep initial price at $200 for the night including vehicle parking? Rating overall OK

Loved the spacious room, the view and the fact that it was no problem to have the restaurant menu delivered to our room. Staff were excellent and nothing was a problem. Intend to re-book in December.

Massive rooms and all the modern amenities you would expect from a hotel of this calibre. Only reason I give two stars is due to the softness of the bed. Although I have to admit you'll likely find all hotels are like this.

Like a home away from home and so central to everything Dunedin has to offer in terms of shopping, bars and cafes, uncomplicated access to the Southern motorway (for the the airport and roads heading south) & easy access to the bay road heading to the Albatross colony. The team at the Scenic are relaxed, friendly and personable and nothing is a problem, which to me gives them a 10/10.

You guys made a very special effort to ensure my stay was as good as it could be following the problems with bookings last week. This in spite of the booking problem not even being your fault but that of the booking agent. A big thank you.

The rooms were decent. We got a room with a view. The place is close to the town centre and has a paid compulsory valet service.

Nice hotel with friendly staff and top view over the city. Location is also great, 3 min from the octagon. Recommended!

1.Disappointing there was no air con in our room. 2. When we had a bar meal there was no table at a suitable dining level to useonly coffee tables.

Good location but no ac.. we try to open the windows to get little bit cool but its noisy since the location is in downtown, nearby to Octagon.

Und für den Parkservice muss man natürlich extra bezahlen!
