Have stayed in both C-Block and A-Block. (Currently still in A-Block, for Emergency Accomodation.) • The location's SUPER HANDY!! Right between 2x supermarkets, really close to town, public transport, ETC! • The staff are all mostly helpful and really considerate and polite! The cleaners, by far, make the whole atmosphere! They're respectful, they go above and beyond, are good for a wee laugh, just over-all really awesome, genuine people!! • The only slight downfall would be the Laundry Facilities.. As it's $3 per wash cycle, $3 per dryer load. Which; in comparison, is fair!! However finding the coins to use the machines is another story, as very rarely the supermarkets are able to give/swap much change, and the office here at Anglesea rarely has sufficient change either.. Nor do they allow cash out from cards, which is hugely unhelpful when paired with trying to find the time when the machines are even free to finally use.. But overall, Anglesea Motel is a great stay! I'd say anyone who disagrees, is probably more focused on the types of people who actually stay AT the motel instead of the motel itself and its staff.. Ta.

Seen better days now COVID-19 is biting business. But still a beautiful motel

Liked · Overall exceeded expectations. Room was large. Lovely TV and lots of channels to choose from. Free WiFi too. Kitchen was well appointed aside from a bottle opener. Really big bed, if a little firm for my tastes. Aircon worked well. Very clean Disliked · Bathroom was dated, was a couple of little cockroaches, but I guess a lack of big ones is a sign that they are dealing with pests.

The cleaners are lazy I actually live here under emergency housing and I will tell you right now I’m 1 of the cleanest people in this whole motel and the cleaners don’t even no how to make a bed properly they don’t clean the bathroom forever forgetting things

The receptionist are very helpful, room service staff are amazing and quick with cleaning. Complementary coffee, tea and hot chocolate topped up daily. Spa bath even better 🥰 has a laundromat type set up which is handy and staff are always being proactive. I havent seen any staff slacking off :-) which is awesome. Only down fall is the domestics from other families and children running around unsupervised. But if you can look past that. I'd highly recommend

Clean, quiet unit, loved spa, friendly, helpful staff. Had difficulty turning TV on as well as heat pump which is critical in winter. No clear instructions anywhere! No electric blanket or extra blanket for those who feel the cold - went and bought a wheat bag to warm bed. Otherwise, worth the $$$! Would return especially if watching rugby match.

The proprietors were very friendly and helpful. Awesome to hear and understand what they had to say as they were Culturally from another country, absolutely great. The room was above our expectations for the price we paid for the one night. Being in the middle of the cbd was very quiet with no noise from the rest of the city and tenants. All facilities in the room were user friendly and in good working order. I certainly encourage people to stay here as we will in the future.

Lovely clean room with a large spa bath. Helpful and pleasant attention from reception. Location of the motel would suit sports fans but a little noisy and far from shops for us.

They need to put the right size blankets on the beds. I had a single bed cover over my king size bed. Spare blankets cos it's cold in winter but other wise pots a great place to stay if u dont mind all the emergency housing families and drama

Good rooms with all the rooms you'll need. Sky TV is a nice bonus too. Rooms are a very good size and are clean too. Tea, coffee and biscuits in room is always nice. Free parking close to city centre is a bonus too. Very reasonably priced too. It's no Hilton but for what you pay it's very good. Location Would recommend.

Excellent location great parking quiet at night. Room heating /fan very efficient easy to use. Big TV and easiest sky remote to use. Spa Bath fills quickly great shower pressure. Compact kitchen fridge kettle toaster pans plunger coffee - ground fresh at reception. Two plate ceramic stove easy to use. Big double bed plus single. Great value. Definitely use again.

Excellent rate for a lovely room. The bed was huge and very comfy. The tv was also huge which was great to watch the tennis. And the shower had great pressure. The guy in reception was also very friendly and helpful. Will be back 😁

One of the most genuine hospitable places to stay. The staff were curteous and friendly. We were booked into one of the house units, my babies were very comfortable and jump right into the beds that were in the lounge, which is not like them at all. They have families staying here who have no other accomodation and the staff cleaned every unit regardless. Many would say its because winz pays the rent, but on observation the staff take pride in this place. It was good to see the humanitarian act of hospitality for those less fortunate. The patrons need to also appreciate the accomodation that they have an respect the simple rules such as specific smoking areas and butts go in ashtrays, dont allow the kids to brake things like garden ornaments, its not the babies fault it is the parents who should be monotoring their babies, because if i can and i have 2yr old twins then the parents their should. Also the tennants should use the right coins for the dryers dont be tricky as someone stuffed up the dryer that way. I know the staff will fix it.I would highly recommend this place. Clean and Tidy with all the amenities you would need. Great Spa bath and handy for a walk into the centre of town. Staff on reception where polite and very helpful. Nice touch with the fresh coffee and milk. Recommended

Helped us out greatly with a very late check-in after a very long day after our car was broken into north of Auckland. Very comfortable bed and my girlfriend loved the massive tub. Very generous and welcoming.

5 stars for the cleanliness, the spaciousness of the room, the welcome (free milk and freshly grounded coffee), the friendly reception, the excellent laundry service ($3 for washer, $3 for dryer), the many little details, the price of accomodation! Wish I could stay longer or that more NZ motels are of this standard. Feels like a 3.5 stars motel. If u are staying in Hamilton, stay here!

Thanks so much to the team at Anglesea for the wonderful service. Our room was lovely and comfortable, was really close to the city for work and countdown. It was really quiet and peaceful and the breakfast was really nice. Hubby and I will be happy to use Anglesea as our next stay.

Nice clean rooms and amazing service from the front desk. We turned up on Christmas Eve with a car and trailer and we were provided with free parking for both the car and trailer. We will definitely be back again if we visit Hamilton in the future.

Fantastic place to stay, walking distance to the main night life of Hamilton. Good spacious and clean rooms. Staff were very approachable and is a nice quiet section to stay at. Highly recommended place.

Great motel, will be back again

Comfortable room with kitchen, bathtub and air-conditioning. Also withing walking distance to both a supermarket and a pub. The distance from the city centre is not huge, but manageble. Overall I'm satisfied with my stay here.

I have stayed here 3 times so far. Rooms are very clean, quite, and spaciauos. Good facilities I.e. heat pump, spa in the bathroom... friendly staff.

The single room suite is my room of choice. It is always nice stay here. And perfectly located right across the road from the Speights Ale House..

Close to sports venues. Dated but very tidy rooms. Initial room had broken aircon however given another room. Overall a good place to stay. Quiet.

Microwave oven defective and not replaced. Front desk actually said" just bring your food here to be microwaved" I was flabbergasted with the response. The location is good for access to the city, supermarket and Hamilton gardens.

Quiet (mostly, depending on the room you get) and clean. Relatively close (3 to 15 min walk) from a few restaurants and shopping centre.

Large room, modern enough, large bath. Quiet, comfy. Playground n swimming pool for kids. Central, lots of parking. Lovely staff.
