K.We enjoyed a relaxing 4 day break prior to Christmas at Ventura, Hamilton, so much that we returned again this week for another mini break.
This is a relaxed environment with much to offer:
The welcome offered by staff, as well as the genuine care and attention throughout our stays is something which continues to stand out for us. The staff clearly work as a team, with a professional approach to their job. At the same time, well balanced with a caring and friendly attitude.
Given the summer's heat the pool is an excellent add on.
Their rooms are extremely well kept, (with very comfortable beds and pillows). The daily tariff is one that also includes breakfast.
We have no hesitation in rating this accommodation 5 stars.

A. S.Great place, super quiet room, comfortable bed, spa bath was nice. Pool area was nice but no sun loungers. Good location. Breakfast was basic but fine, but it would be nice if there were vegan options - soy milk and non-dairy yoghurt. Would definitely stay again.
A. S. P.We spent 2 nights here and on the hottest days while here in Hamilton for my brothers wedding. My husband and I were really impressed with the cleanliness and the service all up - housekeeping was absolutely amazing - rooms were so good and my kids and hubby LOVE LOVE LOVED the pool . Breakfast is super basic so take extras. Not alot of liquor stores local so might pay to buy in advanced before going to the hotel . Pak N save is literally across the road so that was super handy ! We absolutely loved our time here and will be using Ventura whenever we are heading to Hamilton !

H. M.This is not my first time staying. I stayed here very soon after the Christchurch earthquake to collect myself and I was injured. The staff treated me with respect and extra care and helped me get resources to help with my recovery. The staff are kind and the premises are clean and well maintained. The owners have a very good work ethic and understanding that the people who rent their rooms are still people not just business.
p. p.Great place for stay. We stayed there for 2 nights. It's near to the city. Rooms are comfy, neat and tidy. Servicing is nice. Hosts were welcoming. Plus, you get complimentary continental breakfast. I would totally recommend it. Would sure visit again. Thanks.

2.Awesome price our family needed a break away from Auckland and this place was perfect. Had everything available to eat with cutlery plates etc as we ordered from Scoff. Clean bathroom. Awesome shampoo and conditioner. PRIJA. Want this for home. Friendly at reception.

It was very clean and tidy and the receptionist that was on when we came in, (I think her name was Jordan, if I remember correctly) she was just lovely. Great service. m.I wonder how this place is only 3 star? So I wasn't expecting much, but I was very very impressed. Very spacious, clean, quiet. The linen was quality, the beds were comfy, lots of pillows to chose from. Nice dark curtains. Yummy breakfast. Good shower pressure. All the small things make a huge difference. Highly recommend.

T. M.My whanau and enjoyed this hotel, clean rooms and the room price included a very good breakfast. Front of house staff were also very good, when we had a problem in our room they were quick to arrive and sort it.
Only issue was the road noise and police car 🚨 across the road from the hotel but we got used to it (overwise it would of been 4⭐⭐⭐⭐)
T. R.Was very good. The breakfast was a nice touch. Not too heavy which I like. Beds super comfy, rooms nice and clean and surprisingly I didn't hear any traffic from the road outside my window. Perfect distance from the city. It's nice to stroll back to after dinner aND a couple drinks. Will be back.

M.Tidy place great location we accidentally booked the wrong room and unfortunately they were booked out so we couldn't get the suite we were actually trying to get with the spa bath. it was good they had Netflix but apple tv requires you to have an account to use it
E. W.Third time staying here and not disappointed. The rooms are clean and cozy, very modern look. The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast bar is full of tasty treats to start you off for the day.
K. E.Our initial thoughts were disappointing, the casual chairs in the room were so dirty that you would not want to sit on them. The information booklet had a take-away of some sort spilt inside it and the room smelt too. We complained to the Reception staff who promptly moved us to a different room. This one was more pleasant, to the level what we had expected.
We turned on the bedside light, and that blew all the lights in the room. After a quick call to Reception out lights were back on and the bulb replaced.
The hotel is quite central to town and it’s attractions, there is a supermarket within walking distance. We did not get around to sampling the pool or the breakfasts.
Would I stay here again, I think I would. If you are just looking for somewhere that has the basics with a spa bath, then give them a try.

T.The Hotel is located is located in a quiet area, just off the main busy road. Storey accommodation serviced by an elevator is close to the city centre, and has mostly covered car parking. Thought it was clean enough but needed a litttle more detail. For great value. We had a great night.

Not particularly happy with suite, no sky, limited free to air channels, bathroom poor. Basic shower over bath, no heated towel rail. Room beside 4 lane highway, with high window I couldnt close. Previously stayed here with a standard room which was better.
M.My room, upon opening the door for the first time, smelled overwheeeeeeelmingly of chlorine. This remained for the first two nights of my stay, though faded by day 3.
However, the staff were friendly, the room clean, and the continental breakfast absurdly carb-heavy, but also fresh. Would stay again for work purposes - it does what it says on the tin, really! Not luxurious, not bare, but well settled somewhere in the middle.

V. R. M.One of the best places to stay at Hamilton! very close to CBD and eat street.. the rooms were tidy, bathrooms were spacious. We were given a warm welcome. They helped us sort out our bookings to Waitomo caves as it was the Easter weekend and the bookings were full. They also suggested couple of other places to visit and also recommended some good local restaurants. My daughter was unwell and we reached out to the front office for suggestions on medical centers near by. One of the front-office reps, her name is Bliss; she helped us sort that very quickly. Big shout out to all the staff at Ventura.. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!!!

A. B.Nice place, clean and tidy with professional staff and its modern. But i think the wifi cuts out at times because i used up all my mobile data without knowing. Price was pretty good value for money, maybe a little on the expensive side but its a nice place.
A. L.The location was a bit hard to find at first but very convenient. We loved the spa tubs! Make sure you check all the information they give you at check in; we took a while to figure out how to turn on lights! Service was fantastic, as well as the breakfast.
T.The hotel was priced about right by New Zealand standards. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the main restaurants. Continental Breakfast has enough selection to get you started for the day. My kids loved the pool. Seems to be a main road right behind the motel that can get quite noisy.
T. a. L. S.The suite was a reasonable size. The additional soda bed however had a metal arm which kept catapulting out dangerously. The TV channel list provided said you had some sky channels when none are provided. The staff were friendly and efficient and the breakfast area was well stocked.

A. W.Very clean, friendly staff, comfy bed, fast internet. Thought the pool would be bigger, check the angle, it's not very big at all. No restaurant or bar, which is both good and bad. Despite decent internal soundproofing, the windows let in an amount of police noise, likely due to the proximity of the central station. Would suit someone used to a city. Brekky was good and checkout really simple and fast. Uber point right outside with <1m pickup. Definitely recommended. Suggest calling ahead if you want a room with a spa as it was very popular.
D. H.I booked this hotel for the first time because it offered unlimited WiFi. And the WiFi was pretty good. I was able to stream a TV show while I was connected to work without a problem. I was in a suite that had a lounge and kitchen area, a bedroom with a comfortable spacious king size bed, and a bathroom. Water was good and hot. The included breakfast was OK. Nothing fancy but filling. It's near some pretty good restaurants. I'd stay here again.
J. D.The pictures online were better than the actual room we were given. There was no place to keep towels in the bathroom. The showerhead was broken. They said some of the rooms were getting upgraded to Apple Tv but I guess our room was not. It was clean however, and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was a plus.

T.We were looking for something reasonable for a group of women to share. The location of the hotel is ideal as its very near the freeway. Rooms are Spacious and have Tea & Coffee facility. I would stay here again, it was priced very well for what you got.

g.This is basically a motor inn, which sets a reasonable all round standard of accommodation, amenities, and services (though the wifi is basically too slow for video) Ventura is 'corporate bland' and no doubt aimed at that market. Close to town, supermarkets, and the roads out of town give it good points for position, but overall given the daily rate, most motels in town would deliver better value.
L. S.Nice and clean. Well equipped. Nice shower and bath. Best thing is the aircon actually works. This is a massive boon when the Hamilton nights are hot.
